30 Seconds To Air


Look at that enthusiasm! After 17 years of hosting her show, day in and day out, Ellen is just as jazzed as she was on the day she started. I know I would be excited if I had an 11-year-old sports prodigy, Cheryl Hines and Weight Loss Hypnotist Paul McKenna all on the same show. Just standing here taking her backstage picture, I can tell that her excitement is contagious! Who can blame her for getting carried away? ...Personally, I think that the slap on my behind was a little uncalled for, but with Ellen so pumped up to perform, these things happen when there’s only ...30 Seconds To Air.

Hi Ellen,

I agree with Melita. NKOTB fans are one of a kind. There are no other fans like us who would go to the depths of the earth just to catch a glimpse of the 5 boys, to defend their name, and to spread the love of their music. NKOTB music has touched each and every one of our lives in a different way and because of them, a large part of my generation grew up on the right path. I just want to celebrate this group because of all they have done for each and every one of us. I hope you will consider the request. We have been waiting for 14 years.

Hi Ellen-
Is there going to be a show devoted to the New Kids on The Block??? Loved them when I was a kid...I need to be a part of that if it happens! I think their fan base is now all in their thirties and would love to remember such a fun part of our youth!

I was trying to remember the 11yr old basketball prodigys name. My son is 12, loves basketball, and he was so inspired he went right out to the backyard and started practicing. He would love to see some clips but, I was unable to find any on your site. Can you post some or give me his name, maybe he has something on you tube.

Hi Ellen,

I've never written to anyone like you before.. I just love watching your show everyday, and actually work my schedule around it. All my friends know not to call me between 10-11:00am (in Monterey California). At 11:00, the phone starts ringing and we've all watched the show. You simply make me smile and laugh (while I am lying in bed). I just can't do anything else until I complete your wonderful show, and all the fun, fun guests....especially all of those talented children you find. What a gift you have and such a generous heart! Just Love you..

Hi Ellen and All Ellen Fans,

As the doors were opening today if you didn't blink - you got to see the flash for this picture being taken! My first thought when I saw the flash was "That's the pic for Thirty Seconds To Air."

Last week I asked Ellen's fans to come together to write to Ellen on behalf of a boy named Kyle Hickok. He has been ill his whole life. In and out of hospitals. His Birthday is coming up on March 25th, he will be 12. He is the fourth great nephew of Wild Bill Hickok.

The Make A Wish Foundation was going to grant him a wish. One of his first wishes was to have dinner with Emeril Lagasse and Rod Stewart. Because he is such a sweet kid when the time came to make his wish he didn't wish for that. He wished for a vacation for his family, so they could all be together. A vacation that to date they have been unable to take because of him being in the ICU in the hospital.

I want to take a moment now to thank everyone who sent a shout out to Ellen and also to everyone who took it one step further and went to Kyle's CaringBridge website and left a message for him and his family.

I also want to ask that you please continue to leave comments on behalf of Kyle. His story touched me very deeply. I do not know Kyle or his family, reaching out to all of you just seemed like the right thing to do. I have also gone to Emeril's website to try to reach out to him - course I don't have Ellen's star power - but you never know till you try - and - I just had to try.

Great job today. There was color and the show was good. Just like always but sometimes there are some that are just better. Good JOB>

Ellen looked great in the white shirt with the very interesting tie-ette which looked really good with everything.

I have never had a chance to watch your show until now because I work. I just went out on disability because I am taking chemo for breast cancer and nearing the end of treatment I have gotten a little tired. Watching your show when I feel so dispirited and terrible fills my heart.I have to thank you for being this sweet, funny girl, who doesn't have a mean bone in her body. One who keeps her show light and amusing. I just want to reach out and hug you.

It's so funny listening to Ellen talk about crawls and TV distractions. I couldn't read her crawl because our local station is crawling flood warnings in distant counties over Ellen's crawl.
