Who's That With Ellen?

Answer: Leah Remini.

Leah appeared as Carla Tortelli's daughter Serafina on two episodes of "Cheers."

Although Leah didn't get the role of Monica, she later guest-starred in one episode: "The One with the Birth."

Leah Remini was born in Bensonhurst (Brooklyn), New York, to George Remini, owner of an asbestos company. Leah moved to Los Angeles at the age of 13. When she was 14, Leah left school against the advice of her mother.

I'm catching up on my Ellen episodes and just saw the segment about the little boy who was killed by another little boy. I am *shocked* at Gayle's comments about this incident and saying that Ellen used this incident to launch a platform. The story - at the heart of it - is that an innocent young boy was killed for a completely benign reason. It is heartbreaking to know that a young boy simply showed innocent affection to another young boy and the reaction and response was murder. All the families involved, and all the students in that classroom, will be in my thoughts.

Hi Ellen love you i am also a faithful viewer and also a gay citizen i myself i feel like i can relate with larry because i grew up in a smaller town in louisana called west monroe a lot a people in this area want nothing to do with our fairly small gay community because they dont understand i guess i was kicked out of my house a year ago before my high school graduation because i am gay my mother told me she didnt want to subject her two little boys which are 5 and 3 to my kind of lifestyle which in my opinion is very cruel to me and my little brothers because now they wont get to see me as much and to be honest i do miss them and my 17 year old sister whom i still do get to see occasionally by her choice but anyway before that in middle school and high school untill 10th grade i was picked on and bullied for being me and honestly i went through a face where i felt the world hated me and wanted me gone and i was very suicidel (sp) and literaly wanted to make it all go away until 10th grade when i became close friends with a bisexual girl named shannon she was my rock and my shoulder to cry on without her i probaly would not be here today to see what a better world it is today definetly not perfect by any means and not near about accepting as it should be but better still i just wish i could repay my friend shannon for everything she has done for me over the years and if she does read this i hope she understands if i had the money or the resources i would start a nonprofit company that would be dead set on letting teens and adults know that it is ok to be gay that is my new plan you have inspired me with your openess i am going to start my dream thank you so much that is exactly what i needed to start it to relize i guess that i am not the only one thats had hard times because of their sexuality you and your show has given me the strength and ideas to launch my own company so for that i thank you

This message is mostly for Gayle.
If I come off brash, I'm sorry. However, I do not believe that Ellen was trying to tell people to think about being gay. Ya know? It's not like she woke up that morning and was like "Hey a little boy was killed because of his sexuality, this is my chance to convert every person in the world to be gay!!"
In the same sense if you are(were)a faithful viewer then you would except and understand the message that she was trying to bring to light. She is also human and has feelings too. Enough of which made her cry on national television not just because it was a hate crime but more so that it just so happened to be a young boy dying because of the unjustices that are delt to people like him. Do not disown her on the basis of her feelings(which at so many other times you have been a supporter of). She did nothing wrong, nothing. It is people like you that are the problem with this world. Life is not about being gay or not gay and where you stand on the issue. It's about finding what makes you happy, loving the people around you and trying to make the world that WE ALL share a better place to live in. If I could hope to be like somebody in this world, I would not(in my personal opinion) find a better role model then Ellen. No, I am NOT gay, If thats what your simple mind is thinking. I just believe that if you support someone then you do it whole heartedly and you stand by them through thick and thin. You may not like some of her views but that doesn't mean that at the drop of a hat you stop supporting her. Take a step back and look at all the amazing things she has done to help people in need. Take a look at her accomplishments! Take a look at Ellen for who she really is.
Not once did she advertise the fact that she was gay after helping someone or whole families. She never once said "I'm gay and I think you should be too" after handing out gifts to her audience. If she wanted to press the subject she could've done it YEARS ago. So why do you have to be so cold to others feelings/views. You need to think about that.
Like I stated before Ellen had a message and it was a very emotional one because it hits her hard as a human being and mostly because she can relate to it. I believe her message was something like this:
It is NOT right to kill anyone.
Gay or not gay, the mere fact of the matter that this happens in our country "the land of the free" is disgusting. I also believe that Ellen was not trying to promote or stand on a "platform" as you called it. It has nothing to do with a young GAY boy being killed as much as it does a young boy being killed. It has everything to do (on the other hand) with the way parents, religous teachers, politicians and the average "Joe" make gay people out to be.
It is unethical, and sickening to think that at such a young age it is instilled into the minds of people that it is wrong to be gay.
I have many gay friends and I love them and stand by them. Its the RIGHT thing to do. Won't you think about that for a while? If that boy was related to you I'd imagine you'd be singing a different tune. Open your eyes to the world around you and take notes because Ellen is a wonderful women!
On that note "IT's OKAY TO BE GAY!"

ELLEN I LOVE YOU!
&
SO DOES WINDBER, PA!!

:]

I have been a faithful viewer of your show and always liked that fact that you weren't political and kept your views to yourself. Although my heart broke about the story of the gay boy that was killed by his classmate I didn't appreciate you using your show to launch your "it's okay to be gay" platform. I watched your show for entertainment not for political correctness, even though I knew where you stood on issues. You lost a viewer today.

Hi Ellen ,
Afew days ago I sent a E-mail asking how Dallas was doing ? I am sorry I meant to say please tell me how Housten , " is that the way you spell it ? " , anyway I knew his name was like a city in Texas . Also I still would like to see the lady on the Kleenex advertisment , were she talks about losing everything to the storm in New Orleans . She ends the spot by saying something like my tears doesn't make me weak .
God Bless , Grace

i would like some of the free gifts that you give away on your show some of the gifts are very nice.
