I'm gonna be honest. Sometimes I have a craving for a skewer. Not all the time because that takes the specialness out of it. But once in a while, a skewer really scratches my itch. ...literally and figuratively (after I finish my skewer, I like to scratch my back with it.) Corn on the cob, pot pies, flautas, squab ...are all things that are great once in a while. I was just kidding about squab. ...I don't know what that is. ...I don't know if I want to know. ...Please don't ever tell me. Anyway, today I am having beef tenderloin skewers with spinach, tomatoes and mozzarella covered with a reduced fat dressing.
I am also having some leek and shitake mushroom soup for an appetizer. Appetizers are good because they really get your appetite warmed up. Before appetizers were invented, people never got that hungry. I'm thinking about inventing unappetizers for people who are trying to lose weight.
I hope your appetizers are appetizing

Howdy Ellen,
Squab isn't as bad as it sounds, it's rather interesting in fact and it takes a professional squaber to prepare it. Let me know if you change your mind about wanting to know what it is.
