In late April, you had a race car driver on who had been in a spectular wreck the previous weekend. As he left your stage, you and he rode off of a 4 wheel scooter. Under the seat, it had a storage compartment. I am 73, have empysema and can't walk my dog anymore. I would like to buy a scooter like that if not too expensive, so we could get out of the house. Can you tell me where it came from and how I could buy it?

I bought a Porche as a divorce present to myself and then took it out on local road tracks for racing (and meeting guys). I won a trophy every time! It was the most fun 2 years ever. That is until I missed the shift coming out of a turn and did a 180 into the wall. OUCH! Ellen, you should take your Porche out to Willow Springs Raceway some day. It is a total blast. But stay away from that wall!!!
I worked for a drag racer for 10 years. I always thought it would be so much fun to drive. It takes a lot of money. Anyway, he passed away and I think of him often. Anytime someone passes me on the highway, I often have great memories. I would love to race though I try to refrain.
Ellen!
Yes! and no... its a scary thought... but I'd like the experience... I was going 80 on an interstate 48 hours ago. I like to get in the inside curve(shorter distance)when the road banks left and then when it banks right I get in the inside right lane(shorter distance) maintaing same speed and since I'm going shorter distance I fly by the cars behind me... that's my race car experience on the interstate!!!! I did that back in Indiana to fight boredom driving from Butler to Muncie on I-69 over the weekends from College and from home to college. AND!!! I still do to this day but on an interstate here in WA. It gets me to where I'm going!!!!
Remember "Little Rascals" and their goat car races down the hill!!!! I still fantasize about that... that would even be fun!!! Any low ride vehicle that can hug the curves. I know that you can go to the Indy track and pay 300 or more to ride along or drive? I don't know much about that... but I know you can lap the indy for money! My sister's husband did it. I've never been to the indy but I love to watch it on tv and when I saw Danica... only to see her have to refuel and then lose her position of first... I was mad at her pit crew and poor timing and felt they lost the race for her... but 'cause she's such a good sport she didn't. Then the year next she did really well and I'm glad little andreti won.. the youngest one to win I think! That was moving. Danica will win sometime. and when she does!!!! I'll be really cool about that! Their are other women in the sport but you hear a lot about Danica.
dude. seriously? that's my dream....
1. to go really really fast.
2. to give my mother a heartattack.
:D
MORE GRAY HAIRS ALL AROUND
Hi Ellen !!!!!! I know a lot about speed. My husband DRAG RACES ( that's going straight 1/4 mile ). We have to beat the other guy or gal to the end of the track. We rave in the Super Gas catogory and run 9.90 seconds and about 160 miles in 1/4 mile. This is where I spend most of my summer. We travel all around. This is his hobby and he loves it. We have met a lot of friends doing the same thing ( our racing family ). Shirley

I've been a devoted race fan since 1968. For our 25th Anniversary we rode with race drivers in Champ Car Open Wheel pace cars at the Cleveland OH Grand Prix. Then my hubby surprised me with a ride around Atlanta Motor Speedway and renewing our 25th vows in Victory Lane on NASCAR Cup Race Day. What a THRILL!!! I would love to see Dario Franchitti again...I was his honorary pit crew member at the Cleveland Grand Prix when he was with CART Open Wheel Series now it's impossible to get near him. In 2002 I founded a charity event for our area non-profit animal welfare group, Society for the Improvement of Conditions for Stray Animals (SICSA - www.SICSA.org), "The SICSA Red Dog Racers Charity Auction". To date with 100% of the proceeds from the auctions & driver autograph session, we've raised over $10,000 to support the low cost Spay Neuter Programs that SICSA offers. 100% of the proceeds from the fund raiser goes to help the animals lead healthier lives & help control pet over-population. I have been fortunate apply my two passions; animals & racing to create fun event to help the animals. I would love to raise more awareness about our fund raiser, but also about the importance of Spay/Neuter for animals.
I've had the best experience winning a ride with my favorite driver and would love to drive myself again. I was only supposed to get one lap for winning...there is no passenger seat just a role cage and sheet metal... centifical force kept me sliding toward the driver, Chuck was his name, and he gave me the most awesome screaming 5 laps of my life around the track. I was the envey of all my friends and as for the speed I was going... there is no speedometer in race cars. Just Fast or stop.

Hi Ellen!!
I Love your show and never miss one. I have also wondered why us Canadians are not allowed to play your games, or enter anything on your show? I have tried many times, but always denied due to living in Canada.
Is there anything you might be able to do to help us?
Thanks so much!! We love you Ellen!!!
Shirl Greene
Hi Ellen We Canadians watch all the time. So why are we not allowed to enter any of your contests. It only allows the states when you try of enter. Thankyou
Greetings Ellen!
You should so attend the street race in St. Petersburg, FL this year (April 6th). Danica Patrick has run this race for the last few years. You could ride with her then. You go through the city, along the water and into the airport. Plus, St. Pete is a great city to visit..or live. - Robin

Absolutely!!!!!Would I ride in a race car. I love Nascar more than life itself lol. No really I do. I eat, breathe and live Nascar. Especially if Kasey Kahne was driving he's been my one and only crush for a very longtime. You would have to pry my little fingers off of the race car if he was driving it lol.
