Gee Tom, you sound just like my ex-husband also named Tom! He has issues with alcahol too. People like you always find fault with others until they look in the mirror. Dude, GET A LIFE, GET A SPONSOR! The twelve steps of something might help you. We hope you have supportive friends as well.

YOU CRACK me up! I LOVE your show. It's a daily dose of medication everyone needs - LAUGHTER! I SO need to come to the show and see you LIVE but I will need to bring my big girl panties (my depends) just in case I laugh so much I pee in my pants...

The dip segment was hysterical. Ellen drinking those nips was just way too funny. Just as funny as Ellen at Trader Joe's. I nearly fell of the couch laughing when she started throwing those clementines; can you imagine!? Priceless. I only wish I was there.

Ellen is the best! Thanks for such a great show; I love it.

Loved the receipe show and you drinking those itty bitty airline liquor btls was tooooooo funny.
People who get their panties in a wad need to either have a drink with you or stop watching. The show is for entertainment and entertain is what you did that day. I laughed so hard I about peed my pants.I do think however your guest was lost.Have the self-rightous ever seen Robin Williams, he does what he wants and takes over where ever he is, soo that is what comedy is.
So as Gladys would say "Keep on Keepin On.

The Super Bowel dip segment was terrific!
She made us laugh starting with the beer, and it just got funnier as she tried each and every liquor! We were laughing so hard and even after rewatching it on the video it is just as funny.
The serious people who really were offended with the drinking need to "lighten up"
She only did it because SHE CAN, and she knew the audience would crack up.
Ellen is so good at improvising,and genuine. That why her show is so popular. Laughter is the best medicine and she gives us a good dose of it everyday!

Ive never commented before but after reading that mental comment by Tom i just had to thank that person for making me laugh as hard as ellen does. If u actually think ellens an alcoholic from that 2 minute segment of the show maybe you have some serious problems. It was a joke, shes a comedian its kinda the point. I know they always say americans dont understand irony but i've never witnessed a comment that makes that statement true so strongly before.

Hey Ellen

I love your show. I am almost off of maternity leave and am sad that I wont be able to watch it. It has been great to watch it every day. My 3 year old tells people we watch Ellen all day. I wanted to repsond to the drinking segment. Personally I can take a joke and thought it was extremely funny, no I haven't had any personal problems with alcoholism nor has any of my family. But I don't take things personally and I thought the cooking segmant on Friday's show was awesome. I couldn't stop laughing. So keep being honest and don't change a bit. Now I have to figure out how to record your show.

loved the recipe segment but i think i missed the recipes, laughing too loud. really would love the pina colada dip one. keep making us laugh, dont hold back because you are great and a true blue person. i love your honest nature!

I'm disappointed to see Ellen drink liquor so much on her show, and this segement was a big turnoff. The Tuesday, January 8, 2008, Wall Street Journal has an article on page D1 that a true friend would give to Ellen. My uncle went through the drinking and making fun of liquor so much, he finally saw the light and went to AA in Chicago and was cured. I truly hope Ellen has friends that are good enough to tell her she displays the problems of an alcoholic. (I like Ellen and would hate to see her turn into a lush.)
