The "duster" was a little bunch of flowers wrapped in cellophane - guessing Ellen doesn't do the dusting at home!

I only read the first few comments on this super hilarious show.....and i said to myself...."What the F.....ebruary?" I think your show is a breath of fresh air! No matter how bad a day you had...as soon as you switch on "ELLEN" YOU ARE GUARANTEED TO LAUGH! Good job Ellen! Your show is my most prioritized show of the evening...everything else follows....Keep us laughing! ....oh ya' ...and crying! lol Every kid you help, every family, organization, all the gifts you give away....bring me to tears every time......I love how you help so many people......I envy you immensly!

I laughed so hard at this segment I almost wet my PJ's! It was great! I printed out all the recipes so I could give them a try.

I love your show and watch everyday. I even told my Dad about your show and he is going to TIVO it to watch. He didn't know you had a talk show!

I have a feeling many responders have not read the article I suggested Ellen read. It would, perhaps, be good for them to read it as well. The issue is not necessarily being offended by her many references to liquor on her shows and the Super Bowl episode; the issue is concern for Ellen's health. That was my concern...and ad hominem comments are not a good way to have a discussion.

OMG. People please. Did you forget that Ellen is funny? I watched the show and I laughed and laughed. I was not offended. I was having a hard day and after watching the show I lightened up. If anyone was offended then one could have changed the channel. Why did you keep watchin? Instead of focusing on this episode why not concentrate on other shows that promote sex, drugs and many other things. Leave Ellen alone.

I've seen alcoholism first hand. I love Ellen but I think she over did it on that drinking segment...Like the more you drink the more fun you have and the funnier you are. This wasn't like Lucy. She was drinking a health tonic with alcohol in it, not just drinking booze.

Even before this segment, I've noticed how often Ellen talks about drinking, and how much she likes it. I just think your great Ellen and you make so many people happy just being you. You don't need alcohol to be funny. We love you just the way you are.

I am becoming very disappointed in tv lastely and the alcohol, real or not, was a bad influence on the teens today... many of them watch your show !! Lets win the war on teen alcohol and drug use, not encourage it !

I'm back here to watch this again because it was so funny and also in search of the recipe for the pina colada dip...and the ones we did not see, can someone post the recipes? I LOVED THIS SEGMENT, a couple weeks ago Conan had a man on who was a "bartender" reinacting the old beverages consumed almost hourly during 1800's, anyway, there were a few strong alcohol drinks and Conan started sipping them and had that green liquer they do now allow in USA..absynth or something like that? IT WAS FUNNY & he was turning redderish so I thought he was drinking it but obviously they do not allow alcohol to be consumed on TV, right? so it's just an act, and a very funny one...KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, IT'S ALL GOOD AND FUNNY AND WE LOVE IT!!!! YEAH YEAH

I was in the audience for this segment. Jeanne Benedict was laughing and so happy that Ellen had a great time during this segment. What they cut out of the show was when Ellen said, "Ya'll know that this isn't alcohol." There was water in the cocktail bottles and it was a true comedy segment -- like the "I Love Lucy" Vitametavegemite Segment. Yes, Jeanne Benedict is a "lifestyle expert" but she has a great sense of humor and above all loves a good laugh. She was with every beat of this segment and was probably thrilled that Ellen took it and ran with it. It was all about the comedy from both of these talented ladies and that was evident by the way they shook hands at the end of the segment. You'll be seeing more of Jeanne Benedict.

I felt bad for Jeanne Benedict, she took the time to prepare her segment and expected to present it, but was unable to because Ellen turned it into a party. ... just dipping into all the bottles of ...dip enhancer.
I think Tom had every right to voice concern.
Ellen is a hoot and I love her, but I think this time she went overboard. :(

Bob and Beth. Hope you're right, but please don't shoot the messenger. I'm only speaking from family experience and the article I referred to supports this observation and concern. Your comments suggest I'm a party-poop. Guess so in this case (wasn't in my frat, though). I love watching Ellen and am just expressing concern for her welfare. She is too good a person to see suffer from such a disease. Enough said. On to watching Ellen...
