Hello Ellen, Thank you for showing people that they can be true to their self. I am a male RN who made it through nursing school during the seventies and the social changes focsing on womans rights. The summary is that a sense of humor was what allowed me to survive.

You have inspired me to continue and not allow life to block my potential.

Ellen, I have proudly created an inflatable lift that allows a caregiver to get a person who has fallen off of the floor in a safe, secure, cost effective manner. There is ZERO lifting and a bonus side effect that is that people really feel safe, secure and calm while being lifted.

Hi Ellen, First I want to say I love your show, and how you communicate with everyone! my husband and I have come up with a great invention for the fisherman, well more so him than I. I just added a few extra touches. It could also work with the pocket fisherman if only we knew where to start. We had discussed the project with a local non-profit group and he had asked for us to get real detail as far as size width depth and so on, and the materials we'd like to be used. Well I far from being knowledgeable of any given materials..We do want it waterproof and flexable to fit anyone. So when you think of doing an invention week please choose us. I have a diagram of how I want it to look. I truely think it's a GREAT IDEA!!

Dear Ellen:

I want to make a difference with my invention. A difference for people who find it difficult to lost weight or sticking with a fitness program. There would be no more walking into a gym with a feeling of "what do i do now?." Fitness has been a passion of mine, and to share with the world the love that i have for it is something i am passionate about. Seeing people use my invention to succeed at and get results even though they may find it a difficult task to do would be the best gift. I would want people not to get sick of their fitness goals and get fed up and quit.

I have the all the details, however i do not want to put all of them on this board because it is something that i want to actively pursue inventing and putting in fitness gyms worldwide.

I am a full-time college student who is graduating in May with no money to get this idea started so if you could help me out with this it would be greatly appreciated no only by me but people who suceed with it can also one day thank you!

Ellen-you ROCK, I love to watch your show and have been a fan for years. I have a great invention for the workplace. Everyone I have shown it to wants to buy one to simplify their life. Please let me know how I can proceed. From someone who used to be homeless with 4 kids, I have struggled but managed to raise 4 AMAZING sons and have a fairly decent job. I am very determined and hard working, I know my idea will be a hit. Please help!!!

I see all these people who come up with really simple, awesome ideas and are getting totally rich off of them... I have great ideas too, but how do they do it!!! They say they started with no money, all the patents, advertizing and all that other stuff is soooo expensive. How is an average person like myself with really great ideas supposed to make something with nothing...I want to be those people that Joan asks, "how'd you get so rich"!!!! Dear Ellen,
My friend Zach and I just won a gold medal for our "Doughnut Greeting Box" invention. Everyone loved the idea and asked if we were taking orders! The Doughnut Greeting Box is a special decorated doughnut box for any occassion which plays special music when the box is opened to match to occasion.
