Hey Ellen, I waited to hear you ask about Saddie Hawkin's Day but didn't hear anything about it! I am guessing that I am older than dirt and nobody remembers that Saddie Hawkin's Day was when single women could find a single man and get hitched. This was every 4 years on February 29th. It was from the lil' abnor cartoon in the news paper back in the 1930's. When I was in high school we had a Saddie Hawkin's Day "unlawful marriage ceremony" for all the gals that brought a guy. It was lots of fun. The preacher said something like "does you take this gal to be your awful wife?" Answer = I does

Happy Leap Year Ellen!!! My heart also goes out to the boy killed only because he was gay! People are so cruel and it makes no sense to me what so ever that we can't raise our kids to understand there are so many different types of love and even though it may not be everyone prefrence try to understand other peoples feelings without belittling someone else nor hurting anothers feelings. No one knows what anyone's heart is like unless you walk in ones'' shoes. Leave your ego's at the door people. God created all of us! Hi Ellen I have a brother that was born in 1952, on Leap Year Day Feb. 29th. When he was little my brothers and I told him he didn't have a bithday. He would say yes I do, and we would tell him to look at the calendar. He said I was born on the 28 th, we said no you wasn't born yet. Then he would say March 1st, and we would say no you were born on Feb. 29th. God rest his soul, he would get so mad at us and tell mother and dad we wre being mean and telling him he had no birthday. When he turned 8 we told him he was 4. lol we kept him going. lol I am glad to see he has a birthday this year. I love you Ellen. Love Wanda
