Ellen, it was "Love at first sight" for me when I saw my husband on April 17th 1978. That was our first "Unofficial" date. I was working at the GrillRoom at Wittenberg University and he was one of the security guards there. A mutual friend of ours that was also a guard told me that I had to meet this friend of his named Andy. Well, I was due off work at 1am and they were coming in to check the locks. It was me and Mary,(my co-worker) who was around the same age as I was,19. We went with Andy and Kenny, got some beer and snacks and sat on one of the campus bldgs areas and drank, laughed. It was getting close to 3am and I needed to get home and I decided that Andy was going to take me. Much to Marys dismay he agreed and we were married March 3rd 1979. 29 yrs, two daughters and three grandchildren later we are more happy and in love with each other than the first year and it grows deeper and stronger every year.
We have been through some of the worst times and stayed and been through the best times and stayed. I give all the glory to God's blessings, love and support. And our determination not to "sweat the little stuff".
In the 30 years together we have had "1" fight. It was a whopper. Afterwards Andy said that he never wanted that to happen again. That if we couldn't sit down and deal with our problems calmly and rationally then we had no business being together. He would rather put all the energy that would go into a fight into a go session of sweaty, paint peeling sex. And that is what we have lived by. I agreed with him. I grew up in a house with two people who argued and disliked each other and so did he. We did not want that for our children.
Hi Ellen. I love watching you everyday!! Me and my husband met and it was an instant connection for us and then he met my kids and fell in love with all four of them too! Nope. Maybe I'm just wierd. I've found that's true on manny occasions. Why should this be any different? But, I'm happy! :)
Not anymore I,am 48year and I think one is enough
What in the world must I do with two from 24year!!!!!!!!!!!!
yeah..there is something to be said about the connection chemistry. More strangers the better. It keeps one fresh..out with the stale in with the fresh. Mind you saying that..I enjoy bread that is stale with lashings of olive oil, with sliced up tomatoes on top and left over night. I think that is a spanish thing..that is yum yum.
