I can't agree with you more on this one. It seems everywhere I go people start flaming about anything. I'm starting to doubt people...I don't know sounds very pesimistic but this is how i see it.I think people need to find out more about marire sani
Some people might not agree with what I have to say in general... that's fine but what I can say for sure is that everywhere I go people start flaming about anything. We're definitely in anger management need...What's this world turning to... I do recall things were a bit different just one decade ago. Or maybe when I was a kid stuff used to be more fun and I had no worries whatsoever.I think people need to find out more about marirea sanilor
All I know is that I am concerned for you Ellen. I dont pay attention to the magazines, especially STAR, but they have you at 119 pounds. I do think you are rather too thin, because I saw you in October and I can tell you've lost weight since then... just be careful we dont want you to go too far... just care about you. And I applaud your efforts on going vegan and I am sure thats how you lost weight. you didnt need to anyway, Id die to be what the weight you were at... but the pap photos just seem to me that you may need to put a few pounds on... I know its none of my business... but just wanted you to know after you said Hollywood is so obsessed with weight, which I agree.... I dont want you to be obsessed with this diet.
sorry for my bad english

I never can understand the saying that pics and videos add 10 pounds...I always look much thinner on pictures, except for my face. Also this model is normally very buff and toned, not thin thin...I don't know about americans etc, I look slim to them, but my weight is on the higher end for my height, so I am actually healthy !! there are some really skinny models out there, met a few of them, and they are normally 15-23 years old, after which most girls' bodies take on some fat anyway, for procreation purposes (produce estrogen etc), same thing happened to me on the thighs....so yeah, only way to stay healthy is to exercise and eat well...but having flabby arms and looking like a treetrunk is not exactly healthy!!
This woman is the poster girl for anorexia. I'm a normal, red blooded American guy, who likes sexy chicks. This woman looks sickly to me.
She has no butt, and her ribs and hip bones pop out. If guys are into this woman, they are probably either into guys, or maybe even young girls.
The fact that men find this woman to be physically attractive, shows me that sexist men love weak women with fake boobies. Society is really sad, and not woman positive.
Hi Ellen, I just wanted to say that I love how passionate you are about helping various causes especially the animals. Not that I dont care about people because I do, and I donate to children's hospital and St. Jude and what not every chance I get. However, it seems that not enough people care about animals' well-being as much as they should, and when huge icons such as yourself and Bob Barker for example, get the word out on how important animals are, it influences thousands of others to share your view, and I really like that!!
Dear Ellen, I am a artist living along michigan's lakeshore and am able to watch your show most every day, but on occasion I must miss one, such as the one two weeks ago when you talked about how you sleep with your pets. i too am a victim of 'pet bed'. So much so that I makde a quilt depicting our nightly sleeping arrangemts. I would love to share a picture of this quilt with you and if I can figure out how to send it along I will.
Sincerely,
wendy wise

You snagged me from 15 years of Oprah! I am a stay and or work at home mom. I have had my channel set on CBS from the time I turn it on until dinner.
A few months ago I had to make the change. After listening to friends say "you always make them laugh" I was ready. Not only did I have the need for humor that day, I couldn't wait to watch the next day. I entered your Hwy to Ellen contest. The first time I have gone online for any talk show, and I entered a contest!
I have to tell you, you make a difference! I You are what we need in our lives as women. You make the day a little brighter. Your ability to cover areas of need, to highlight topics that make a difference, you showcase everyday people, and you make everybody feel like your their friend.
The only thing I think you need to add is your love for PETS. I wish you would find a way to reward folks who share your PASSION. People who risk their lives to break up puppy mills, or who provide shelter for abused animals. People who make a difference. Bring light to the fact people who are losing their homes due to foreclosure are leaving their animals behind to starve to death. The people who dedicate their lives to saving the innocent lives of pets.
I think you can make a difference, look at what you have done to help folks in your home town. Just think about what could be done for all the abandon animals if you made it a cause. I truly think there are too many people who aren't educated in this area. If you made awareness you could make a difference. I think your style is a positive approach to handling matters, couldn't you factor in the importance of this issue as a part of your program?
I support our local humane society. I attended a funeral last week whom requested money for the shelter in place of flowers. It made me think about how much this would benefit our local shelter, for now, but what about the future? Maybe you could make a contest for people to nominate those dedicated people dedicated to saving our pets.
Nebraska has HEARTS UNITED FOR ANIMALS in Auburn Nebraska. It is a no kill shelter that requires 100's of hours of volunteer time. They travel as far as they are able, but they are small and always in need of assistance, but they are good. Maybe you could highlight them, to bring awareness to possibly bring more support.
Thanks for all you do! I am sure with as many women who dance everyday, there are just as many dogs and cats that would love to "dance " in their homes with them.
You are the WOMAN who can make the difference. You are the woman we can all relate to. You are the FORCE to make a change in so many lives. THANK YOU ELLEN!
Ellen & staff,
I love your show because you're silly! Don't change. We need that in this rat race. Call it comedy relief. if you want.
hugs,
I'm jealous! I would love to see myself thin again...and that was only 5 years ago...If she feels good about herself, more power to her! I think she looks great!
I have written in to your show for at least 6 years now. IT WOULD BE THIS that I was noticed for. I am 42 and have 4 children and have a pool to entertain within our Texas backyard. I have discovered that the older you get, the harder it is to hide extra pounds so I have invited only overweight friends with cute skirt suits to our "country club" this year. I will let you know how it goes. You DO qualify as you turned 50 this year. SHOP STEINMART!

She is really pretty. But she is "model" thin, which has become the norm in the entertainment industry. For some folks, it's genetic. For others, it's a manifestation of disordered eating. Who knows what her story is? She seemed very sweet on the show, so I hope it's the former. The problem as I see it is that women try to look like Marisa when they're not physically programmed to be that skinny, and they end up harming themselves in the process. So let's widen our idea of what constitutes beauty, and at the same time, concentrate on being healthy.
remember tv adds 10 lbs on you. now do you think she was too thin? for those of us who can never look like that and have everything look good on or off. their are many men who don't look like Mr America either! and thank-god . where would we get all these curvy bodies to show what the average female does look like? besides, beauty from the out- side is nice, but having it on the inside will shine from the inside out where it counts.
for those who thought our super model for sports illistrated was too thin? remember tv puts 10 lbs on you! so now what do you think? although all of us would like to think we'd like to look like that, to be able to wear anything and have it look good, unfortunately, we wouldn't have so many pleasing bodies to please all our men in the world who as well don't look like Mr America! beauty is nice out side but more nicer from the inside out!
