The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Facebook
|

I've been an Ellen fan for years. Watched all of her shows, since day-one, including the current one. Until today, I thought that woman walked on water.
Making a joke about Hillary's platform by asking her about banning glitter and then turning around and giving Obama time to plead his real platform - if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I'd have never believed that Ellen was capable of doing something like that.
That cheap shot, coupled with the look on her face when her stock market guest enthusiastically said that Hillary would be better for the country than Obama and the audience applauded him .. honestly, I don't think that I'll ever be able to watch Ellen again.
She should have just come out for Obama, if that's how she feels. Shame on her for betraying the trust that she encourages her fans to put in her by playing us all for fools.
After reading some of these responses I am completely shocked. I would like to address what I have found in some of these responses.
1) Obama is not a muslim
2) His "backers" are the american people, he is not taking money from lobbyists
It scares me to think that people will not vote for him because his middle name is hussien or the idea (not fact) that he is muslim. Can you be any more racist? I would expect more from the "Ellen" viewers. I would expect the majority of "Ellen" viewers to be more open minded and understanding. And voting for Hillary simply because she is a woman displays the same type of prejudice.
Get educated, get informed, get involved
First off I am for Barack Obama, because he is a great man. His name or religion should have no relevance. Remember seperation of church and state and the freedom of religion. The rumors of him being muslim are untrue. If you go to his website he has everything about himself there and what he plans on doing for this country. He is not muslim. His father was raised muslim and was from Kenya, not the middle east. However he did not practice the muslim religion. Obama's mother was from Kansas and he was born in the United States. As far as his middle name being Hussein, yes it does come from the muslim faith, but the meaning is "good" or "handsome". And as far as what he will do for this country. His and Hilary's plans are not that much different. They only disagree on a few things.
I have also heard this ridiculous rumor that he could be the anti-christ. Why, just because he is darker skinned? So now we should not vote for someone with darker skin because he could be the anti-christ. His family ties are not from the middle east, his father is from Kenya. Look on a map that is not the middle east. I know you people who think this get that from a series of fictional books.(I am not talking about the Bible) They made those parts up to give the story more depth.
I have no problem if you don't support Obama, that is not why I am writing this. I just want people to read up on a person before they start saying things that are untrue. Talk about the political issues, because that is what the presidential race is about.
I am a republican who has switched my vote to a democratic candidate and that candidate is Hilliary. Barack Hussein Obama gives me the creeps. Even the name sounds scary. Has everyone forgotten that he is a muslim. Oh, that's right: we aren't supposed to talk about that. He probably has a plan alright. Wake up America!
We were once again reminded of how scary it is going to be come next year IF Obama is elected.
The "Day One" question was not only scary but ill-replied, thoughtless, and selfish. I was not impressed. It did not take long for me to be totally turned-off and embarrassed if that is the kind of Commander-in-Chief he will be.
We need someone in the oval office, here and abroad, to KNOW what they are doing...who HAS an agenda, and determination, strength, passion AND compassion, intelligence, hard work ethic, proven experience, humility, etc.
As it stands, and by much studying and comparisons on the whole, we need the leadership of Senator Clinton. Even the grumpiest Republicans I know are switching their support to her. And males, at that. I think more and more, people are starting to see the difference and having true foresight of what is to come.
Hillary for President!
Hey you EDG,
Answer this. Why do these guys raise millions and millions of dollars to get a job that pays only 400,000 per year. Do you suppose they see the money coming down the pike first so this is a great incentive to run for president. I think Bush is doing a great and if we don't listen to him we are going to have the war on our soil so when those know it alls talk about bringing the troops home shows me they dont know what they are talking about. I think at this point McCain is the only guy that really knows whats going on. Might do good for the rest of you to worry about our borders and keep those 20,000,000 illegials the heck out of here and at the same time keep the terrorists at bay. THEY WILL BE HERE YOU CAN REST ASSURE OF THAT.
hEY DORIS OBAMA SUPPORTER...WHY DON'T YOU LOOK AT THE TRINITY CHURCH LEADER REV. J. WRIGHT JR. AND HIS CONNECTION TO FARRAKAHN. I'VE READ SERMONS ON LINE BY REV. WRIGHT AND HE IS A WHITE HATER AND JEW HATER TOO. OBAMA CHOSE THE WRONG CHURCH TO ASSOCIATE HIMSELF WITH..BUT BEING RAISED MUSLIM OR ATHEIST I'M NOT SURPRISED...YOU CAN THROW IN UNPATRIOTIC TOO! no iraq hussein osama!
I have read all the above with interest. I am canadian and lived in the USA for 12 years before returning to live in Canada 4 years ago. I have been watching all the political debates and campaign smears with a raised eyebrow. At the beginning of Hiliary's campaign Bill campaigned for her heavily but now is out of sight. Where did he go??? I do like Hiliary but then I also like Obama. Admitedly I can't vote in the election but if I could I would be hard pressed to know who indeed would make a good president. Surely Hiliary has experience behind her. Even though she is a junior senator she has her years she lived in the White House with Bill for experience and I am sure she was not just doing up the dishes. Obama admitedly came from nowhere but isn't it time we do have a black american in the whitehouse. I will continue to watch and wait to see what happens in this election. If I could vote I think I would vote for Obama, sorry Hiliary. I think the Clintons have had their day. I think a country that toots Freedom of Speech should be proud that Ellen who is admittedly gay is not afraid to speak or support her choice openly. This should put a stop to any rumours that Obama dislikes gay people. Who are we kidding anyway. Who ever gets elected will have a tough time cleaning up after the Bush Administration. McCain should not even be considered as we should not trust any party who has lied so blatantly about nuclear weapons of mass destruction to start a war with Iraq and then continue even after its proven that there were no such weapons. If Obama is elected I feel that he maybe assassinated in office but who knows same could be said of Hiliary.
America I think that either way we are all doomed!
I adopted 2 beautiful children from Sierra Leone, Africa. Yes my husband and I are white and my children are black. It was amazing to me how we were treated by both black and white americans. Some for and against this adoption. To get to the point I think its time that people stop dwelling on colour or sex and start dwelling on people's abilities, personality and true spirits. Do what you feel is right and vote for who you want. Let your spirit and god guide you.
After all it is human kind who makes this world what it is today.
God bless all the men and women in Iraq and in Afghanistan who fight to make the world remain free whether they be white, black, asian, women, men, American, Canadian, British etc. Lets put a stop to hate and just love one another as God intended.
Hey Ellen...sounds like alot of viewers are disappointed in your putting Obama on again...how about giving Hillary antoher spot just to be fair and ask her an intelligent question, as her intelligence is far superior to Obamas. Just don't ask her to dance. The Obama wave is about to crash...I feel it...all his suspect associations with all the wrong sorts...if it doesn't come out before 3/4, McCain's detectives will get the goods on him. I wish Hillary would plug the fact that she's won ALL THE BIG DEM. STATE and his string of wins were predominantely REP states. Last 7 out of 10 elections were one by REP's, looks like we can chalk up another. Angelin Jolie came out today and even said she thinks we should not pull out of Iraq...she's been there, and knows. I love how Osama is already attacking McCain as if he's the presumptive nominee...he's dismissive of Hillary...but Bush isn't and said he ought to focus on going after her. HILLARY RAISED 35 MILLION THIS MONTH...HER SUPPORTERS REALLY WANT HER AND I PRAY IT'S NOT TOO LITTLE TOO LATE. HEY ELLEN WHY DON'T YOU CONTRIBUTE MORE SINCE YOU GAVE HER SHORT SHRIFT ON YOUR SHOW?
By Paul R. Hollrah
Tuning in to C-Span recently, I found myself listening to a speech by
Senator Barrack Hussein Obama, Jr. He was standing in the pulpit of a
black church in Selma, Alabama, and as I studied the body language of
the dozen or so black ministers standing behind the senator, I couldn't
help but be reminded of the little head-bobbing dolls that people used
to place in the rear windows of their 1957 Chevrolets. If their
reactions are any indication, the new "Schlickmeister" of the Democrat
Party is actually a pretty accomplished public speaker.
However, as he spoke, I found my b.s. alarm going off, repeatedly. But I
couldn't quite figure out why until I actually read excerpts of his
speech several days later. Here's part of what he said:
"...something happened back here in Selma, Alabama. Something happened
in Birmingham that sent out what Bobby Kennedy called, "ripples of hope
all around the world." Something happened when a bunch of women decided
they were going to walk instead of ride the bus after a long day of
doing somebody else's laundry, looking after somebody else's children.
"When (black) men who had PhD's decided 'that's enough' and 'we're going
to stand up for our dignity,' that sent a shout across oceans so that my
grandfather began to imagine something different for his son. His son,
who grew up herding goats in a small village in Africa could suddenly
set his sights a little higher and believe that maybe a black man in
this world had a chance.
"So the Kennedy's decided we're going to do an airlift. We're going to
go to Africa and start bringing young Africans over to this country and
give them scholarships to study so they can learn what a wonderful
country America is.
"This young man named Barack Obama got one of those tickets and came
over to this country. He met this woman whose great great-great-great-
grandfather had owned slaves; but she had a good idea there was some
craziness going on because they looked at each other and they decided
that we know that, (in) the world as it has been, it might not be
possible for us to get together and have a child. There was something
stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma, Alabama,
because some folks are willing to march across a bridge. So they got
together and Barack Obama Jr. Was born. So don't tell me I don't have a
claim on Selma, Alabama. Don't tell me I'm not coming home to Selma,
Alabama."
Okay, so what's wrong with that? It all sounds good. But is it?
Obama told his audience that, because some folks had the courage to
"march across a bridge" in Selma, Alabama, his mother, a white woman
from Kansas, and his father, a black Muslim from Africa, took heart. It
gave them the courage to get married and have a child. The problem with
that characterization is that Barrack Obama, Jr., was born on August 4,
1961, while the first of three marches across that bridge in Selma
didn't occur until March 7, 1965, at least five years after Obama's
parents met.
Obama went on to tell his audience that the Kennedys, Jack and Bobby,
decided to do an airlift. They would bring some young Africans over so
that they could be educated and learn all about America. His grandfather
heard that call and sent his son, Barrack Obama, Sr., to America.
The problem with that scenario is that, having been born in August 1961,
the future senator was not conceived until sometime in November 1960. So
if this African grandfather heard words that ''sent a shout across
oceans,'' inspiring him to send his goat-herder son to America, it was
not a Democrat Jack Kennedy he heard, nor his brother Bobby, it was a
Republican President, Dwight D. Eisenhower.
Obama's speech is reminiscent of Al Gore's claim of having invented the
Internet, Hillary Clinton's claim of having been named after the first
man to climb Mt. Everest, even though she was born five years and seven
months before Sir Edmund climbed the mountain, and John Kerry's
imaginary trip to Cambodia.
As one of my black friends, Eddie Huff, has said, "We need to ask some
very serious questions of the senator from Illinois. It's not enough to
be black, it's not enough to be articulate, and it's not enough to be
eloquent and a media darling. The only question will be how deaf an ear,
or how blind an eye, will people turn in order to turn a frog into a
prince."
OBAMA 2008.......NOT!
this is a headsup. see:
u s veteran dispatch
www.obamatruth
www.freedomsenemies the obama file
the media did not want a woman president and favored obama. the government should demand impartial reporting. who knows what obama and his backers agenda is.
the truth is coming out.
Dear Ellen,
Since I can't see your whole show, since none of our local stations here in the Nashville, Tn. area carry it, I'm sitting at my computer, getting my daily 5 minute Ellen Fix.
GREAT question to Senator Obama as to what he would do on Day One for all Americans. He would sit on his behind, saying to himself, "This is Cool." Another wonder Obamaism which has no substance and means absolutely nothing for the country.
Without a doubt Hillary Clinton is the best
canidate for President of those we have to choose
from. Please think with your head and heart Ohio and Texas on March 4th when you are all alone in the voting booth and pick the BEST ONE. Also take
someone with you when you go. God Bless America.

Barack obama will not get elected. When Fox
news does not say anything negative about him, it
is because they know our country is not going to
elect a black man with the Name Obama, sadly.
The press has been totally biased against Hillary
and thrown softball's at Obama. she answers all
the questions first, and then he parrots her and goes
off on some rhetoric that will mean nothing in
congress. I am sorry to see Ellen run time for Obama twice as long as Hillary.
Hillary is the most qualified to run our country,
and fix the economy and the war mess we are in.
She knows politics and how to get the Republicans
to unite with the democrats accros the isle. Obama
will be a lame duck.He is not at all qualified to
fix the serious problems in this country.
I can't believe what I am reading. First, Barack is not a Muslim, he was not educated in a Madrassa and that stupid smear about him not saying the Pledge of Allegiance is a lie and a complete fabrication. Honestly, how stupid are you people. Lin...do you want to know who is funding his campaign? Me and almost a million ordinary people - I've sent him ONLY $25.00 two times. It's people like you who got fooled - twice - and got conned by this current administration. Get educated! That is the only hope for the rest of us that care to turn this country around. Please since you don't know what you are talking about or worse still, believe these ridiculous smears, please stay home - don't vote, you're dangerous.
On Ellen's show Friday she will speak of the murder of young Larry King. She will also ask you to think about who you are voting for. Please know that Barack Obama DOES NOT believe in equal rights for the gay community. On several occasions he has taken donations from gays and refused to be photographed with them. Please research his past. Hillary Clinton is my vote for President. My vote because she DOES NOT believe that I am a second class citizen because I am gay.

eLLEN i LOVE YOU
aS FOR THE MAN WHO HAS TIME TO READ UP ON POLOTICS........
The sources said the background check concerned Mr. Obama's years in Jakarta. In Indonesia, the young Obama was enrolled in a Madrassa and was raised and educated as a Muslim. Although Indonesia is regarded as a moderate Muslim state, the U.S. intelligence community has determined that today most of these schools are financed by the Saudi Arabian government and they teach a Wahhabi doctrine that denies the rights of non-Muslims.
I wouldnt amit that either if I were running for Presindent!!!!

Barak Obama is not Muslim, not that there's anything wrong with that. He has stated that he is a christian, he attends Trinity United Christian Church in Chicago. The Muslim rumor is a ploy by the republicans to make people scared about him. His father was from Kenya and his father was Muslim thus the middle name Hussein, he was not raised by his father and only met him a couple of times. This information is in his book, Dreams of My Father.
Just wanted to put the truth out there because many people read these things who don't necessarily have time to keep up with politics. And since I do, I like for the truth to be out there.
An Obama Supporter
My husband fought in Iraq had brain surgey, and signed on for another ten years this year. I think he has good views, unrelastic I'm sure because it is easier to start a war then end one. I also have a problem with him being Muslim we ARE one NATION UNDER GOD. We salute our ountry and stand for freedom of speach press and religion I know. However how will they swar him in the last words even for the soldiers and especially thier comander in cheif is SO HELP ME GOD ! What exactly will those words mean to him as my husband and all the soldiers troops.
Thanks,
Sgt Shane Chapman
Can someone please explain what makes Hillary ready from "Day One," just because she was first lady. She too is a junior senator. Give me a break. She and her pants suits need to return to the trailer in Arkansas with her cheating husband. Can you imagine a "seasoned" politician breaking down in tears at an important summit meeting. Yes, that would really do good for America. Way to represent women Hill. Thanks for continuing the stereotype.

Obama may be OK, but the person who can really help this country is Hillary Clinton. Hillary for president!!!!!
