"Glitter" Hated the movie. Love the messy stuff!

I vote for NO GLITTER! I cringe when I get a card with it on it! I hate it even more so now that I have a little girl and she got a pair of pajamas with glittery ballerinas on them. Yeah, glitter everywhere...in her hair, on her forhead, on her cheeks....might as well change the sheets. It's a never-ending cycle of picking glitter out of everything! UGH!

Get rid of GLITTER??!!! How could you suggest such a thing? Where would we be without glitter? Where would Mariah Carey be without.....no, wait......

I hate glitter! It's so hard to get off! Once, I got it on my eyelash and i was so mad!!!

Just let me say that my creedo is " A girl can't have too much glitter." If it glitters, I love it. And by the way, this "girl" has been glittering for 65 years.

Yes glitter is a pain in the butt, but without it, how would you decorate you Christmas stockings or your kids school projects. It gets everywhere and your kids get to go to school for days with it stuck in their hair. They just think they look cool. Hate it or love it , you just got to have it!!

Ban Glitter??!!!! I would wallpaper my walls with it if I could! I prefer the term "Fairy Dust" and as an elementary school teacher I would buy it in gallons! Kids love it almost as much as I do.

The glitter monologue was so funny and true - today I happened to have a glittery incident. So funny Ellen would be talking about it! I received a glittery present from an acquaintance (if it was a friend they'd know glitter annoys me). It was all over the ribbon and on the wrapping paper, even inside the gift! That stuff is is beyond annoying (but pretty, I'll admit). LOL, I vote to ban it!

**************I LOVE GLITTER!*****************
I glitter EVERY day.It used to be that I glittered only on Fridays but then I thought, "Life is short - there aren't enough Fridays to use up all of my glitter!" I have my glitter (about 7 colours right now) lined up in my bathroom in salt shakers that I buy from the 2nd hand stores. I shake it on EVERY day - even if I'm camping - EVERY DAY.
I was stunned to hear that you want it banned. It's the first time I ever disagreed with you.
People should be decorated & adorned in every way possible and life deserves all the sparkle that we can put into it!
I STILL love you.

TO TERRY:

Or nvm...I saw your second post that it said Mexico.xD

TO:TERRY

Terry, you're so lucky, I love madonna!Sadly, I haven't even been to one of her concerts though, one day though. BTW,this may seem silly of me asking, but where is Puerto Vallarta?

Forgive the second post, but I just remembered that with all that glitter stuck to me and my clothes, I probably should have declared it at US Customs upon reentry at the border from Mexico. I really don't know what the daily limits are on glitter imports and if the tariff is by specks or by the pound or by amount of light reflected? I really want to be a good citizen and pay Customs what is due...

First off, I love you Ellen, ever since I saw you on the Epcot ride when I was little!!!!

As for glitter, I love it, I'd be sad if they banned it. I have so many good memories of me and my friends throwing glitter at each other during lunch at school. Plus, it makes me extra cheerful when I wear it for some reason. It's definitely the best to wear for Holiday spirit.

In other news....

I can't wait til May, I'm going to make sure to get tickets for your show, so I can go for my birthday!Well, that is if you have a show on May 23rd, if not I'll just make it sometime that week. I'll be turning twenty and oh how I feel my teenage years wither away even more.*tear* Oh well, it doesn't matter, I just hope I get a hug from you and I'll make sure not to wear glitter!xD ((Or at least not to much of it.x3))

No no no, Ellen -- please don't campaign against GLITTER!

More often then not, I'm wearing some glitter on my way to DANCE ... and you understand how important it is to dance.

My motto is: You can never by two shiny or have too much glitter!

I just came back from a trip to Puerto Vallarta where I attended a "Madonnarama" party (8 hours of Madonna remixes ... we can argue separately whether or not you can have too much Madonna...). They had a few Madonna impersonating drag queen performers there to kick off the evening (hosted by Madonna's brother). Well, on my out of the club, I dropped by the "green room" for the performers as it was open as a lounge and chat area; and I was a little beat from dancing, so I lay down on this pile of pillows in the center of the room ... very comfy! Though it turns out, it was a pile of pillows covered in a pile of glitter!

My friends all teased me, but I was happier than a pig in mud. I guess it doesn't hurt that I was wearing shiny disco shorts at the time anyhow!

Stay happy and shiny and glittering!

...Terry.

I am for a total ban on glitter. It does have a life of it's own, but, it never dies!!! You can't get rid of it, it is clingy, loud, and screams for attention! It doesn't even photograph well...who needs it!

Hello My Dahlink Ellen
We all watch you everyday and worship the quicksand you dance on. My gurlfriends and I
are Phabulous Drag Queen artists up her in Vancouver British Columbia and I can't tell you where I would be without Glitter. It brightens any face or outfit. I know it is the gift that keeps on givin', but it's always good to leave an impression or at least a bit of sparkle for people to remember you by.
Living for you -Conni xoxo

I personally think a little glitter on my kids cheaks for school performances is adorable. I use the MAC cream blush with glitter in it for their cheaks as well as I for my self. My mother thinks glitter is dangerous, she wipes it off the kids immediately because it can somehow get in their eyes. And then what happens, I don't know, she never tells me that part, only that she thinks it's going to get in their eyes, and some how that is dangerous. But thats my mother for you, ya gotta love her!

I remember when I was a wee one about 7 or 8 when I was staying at my parents summer home. I used hair gel that had glitter in it. It made me look quite chic. Also staying with us was my parent's friend who happened to be a 6'4 NY State Trooper. Well, he arrived and needed to catch some z's before we went to dinner. I volunteered my bed. When he awoke no one wanted to tell him about the side of his face that was covered in glitter. He discovered it the next morning when he went to shave:o)

Although glitter is so messy, It makes everything so pretty!! I love glitter!

My mother received a new sweater with glitter for christmas. It was quite beautiful and the glitter just added the right bling to it. She wore it new year's eve to a party. You could tell everywhere she had been by following the glitter trail. Including the toilet and the designer chair she had sat in.
