Wasn't 1958 a fabulous year?!! All of the beautiful baby girls born that year are turning 50 in 2008. Mine is in May. My husband turned 50 in November. Later this month he and I are taking an 11 day cruise to celebrate.
I enjoy your show, when I make it home in time. Today I am just browsing your web site as I eat my no-fat cottage cheese. Your salad looked so much better!

First and foremost - congrats on beating out Oprah on the People's choice awards. I mean, if you really think about it, that is the "most" important award you could get as a talk show host. Everybody just adores you!!!
Next - I cannot even believe that you will be 50.... you look absolutely fabulous might I say.

Well, I can't believe you're turning 50! You're aging so beautifully! I rolled past that milestone a little over 5 years ago and believe me, it's still very hard to say that "F" word! Turning 30 was great, 40 wasn't so bad...but 50 was a whole different story. I feel a lot younger, though, and still like to go out with my friends to clubs and the like; but I'm almost always the oldest one there. That's ok, though. I can keep up with the best of them on the dance floor. So thankfully for you, Ellen, that thing you love to do (dancing)- you just get better. Hope your 50 is filled with love, good friends, and continued success. If you ever get to the East coast (Wilmington, NC), give me a "HOLLA"!

I hope you have a great 50th. I will turn 50 in May so I can't give you any tips what to expect although I do believe today's generation at 50 is more like turning 30 was years ago. I watch your show every afternoon when I get home from work. I always find your show entertaining..it's nice to be able to smile and laugh for an hour. I especially enjoyed the show with the "wedding dancers" and the show with Jenna Bush. You are such a natural interviewer and make people feel at ease.
Keep doin what you're doin - you look fantastic!! Great job dancing over the table :)

Happy 50th Birthday Ellen I am very proud of you and I love your show a lot from Australia I am very proud that you're celebrating your 50th Birthday on your show but it is a classic but I am from Melbourne, Australia and we don't get it on Free to Air TV it is on Foxtel Arena Channel we don't get it here it is only on WIN in the country. I love your show so much it makes me interesting, cool and happy not only that I find your monologue funny I love the first part so much. I think your monologue is a classic that I heard about is a Hawk sits on the telephone booth I have heard one that is a classic and I do follow Australian Rules Football and I am a Hawthorn supporter you said about my team emblem that I followed in Australian Rules Football. Happy Birthday Ellen, from four generations of January baby girls! My Grandma will turn 95 on the 25th, my Mom will be 63 on the 19th, I was 34 on the 1st, my oldest daughter was 7 on the 7th and my youngest daughter will be 1 on the 16th!! And that's not all the family in January if you can believe it! Also in Jan is my Great Aunt, my brother, my nephew, my mother-in-law, my husband's uncle and a whole bunch of cousins and friends including three more on New Year's Day with me. From all my January crew to you, Happy Birthday!!
