I saw Joshua (and Schuyler Fisk) in Iowa City last spring. They were amazing, both stayed after the show to sign autographs and were both so very nice.

I just turned 50 in July....I'm A Gay Women, If not for you I would not be alive to say I am Fifty. I owe you so much thanks. When I was 17,, I was put on a MENTAL WARD for TWO and ONE HALF YEARS FOR JUST FOR BEING GAY. THEY PUT ME ON A MEDICATION CALLED THORAZINE. A HORSE THRAQULIZER IT MAKES YOU NOT FEEL ANYTHING, YOU CAN'T WALK TALK OR FEED YOUR SELF. HOWEVER INSIDE I WAS STILL ALIVE. YOU WERE 16 AT THE TIME. I KNEW I WAS ALIVE AT THE TIME. I HEARD THEM TELL MY MOM I WOULD LIVE THERE FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. I STARTED (CHEEKING)MY PILLS THEN SPITTING THEM OUT ON THE WALL SIDE OF MY BED. COMING OFF WAS TERRIBLE. HOWEVER ONE DAY I SPOKE. I THOUGHT THE STAFF WAS GOING TO HAVE A COW. WOULD OF BEEN GREAT SEEING AS NOTHING ELSE WAS FUN TO WATCH.
Then I was in and out of hospital because that is all I knew for years until I explored the Gay life. Wow you know what happened nexted. Ya HOOOO
Then your comedy show came on and I thought you were Gay and when you came out at that Airport,, After I changed my pants because I laughed so hard I peed......LOL I was free. Someone so wonderful as you was Gay too. I was abnormal. You saved my life. I stoped trying to take my life. I lived it and still do. I just want to shake you hand some day. That is my dream. My life would be complete. I hope you get to read this. Happy, Healthy Birthday. You are the best person. I tape every show and I watch them before I go to work every day. What happened to Glady???????? ("I love Jesus but I like to Drink") I never saw you laugh so hard. That was the best. You just showed it the other day. When you had the boy on that plays the paino. Well I am an Engineering Tech. I am a Drummer, Singer, Trumpet player. I also am an Emergency Medical Technician. I get all my animals from the Humane Society. Best wishes to you always. where have i been?? i never heard of joshua radin until i saw him on ellen today. wow. i immediately went on his myspace page and i can't stop listening to him! thanks, ellen, for introducing me to him!

For those of us who have followed Joshua's career for a few years, this is all very exciting! His first album is incredible, and he's often compared to Simon and Garfunkel. His music has been on Scrubs quite a bit (where I first heard him), and he was also on The Last Kiss Soundtrack. He'll be touring yet again with Hotel Cafe very soon - definitely go and see him if you've never seen him live. He's great in concert and also seems to be a really nice guy!

Someone earlier asked what song Joshua sang first, it's called "Today". All of his songs are amazing. Some of my other favorites are "Starmile", "Closer" and "Paperweight", sung with Schuyler Fisk. The list goes on. He does not have one song that I don't like. Ellen...you have to have him back...and for an interview. You are loved by so many! Happy Birthday, you are awesome!

omg i cant believe how i use to watch oprah all the time while i seen u ellen as a comedian on tv. now i turn off oprah and look for ward to seeing u every single day. i live in montans and though its cold and snowy outside nice and toasty warm inside and a good talk show to watch which is yours while im constantly on the computor.im 52 yrs of age and love to play games on the computor. i dont travel much any more. id love to get involved in your give aways but dont know how. u have so much fun on your shows and i also love absolutely love Rachael Ray . shes my favorite cook on tv. i love to cook as well but limited for im waiting on my housing to come through and dont have a cook stove i have a microwave and crock pot and some containers i could use in the microwave so i do just fine. it would make my day if i could talk to yo on the phone and say hello.you brighten up my days ellen thankyou and hope u stay on tv for ever. sincerely yours robin allison
