Today In Ellen History

On this day in 1967, Ellen sings the 50 states song for her class. No one notices that she adds South Virginia as one of the states and forgets to include Ohio.

On this day in 2006, 3 year old Isabella Natallini cracks Ellen up when she sings “The 50 States Song,” It becomes one of the most beloved moments from the show.

Oh my gosh that made me laugh so hard.

I lost my job and have been really discouraged. I mope (sp) around for the first hour in the morning until your show comes on. You are SO funny and ALWAYS make me laugh. You lift my spirit and it's what helps me to press forward and make the most of my day as I search for my next job.

I made the switch, I left the other women for you!O's show is so political, she is very dissapointing lately! you are what you see, is what you get! Dr. Phil is also starting to be like Jerry Springer! you have class, you are sweet, funny and down to earth, and most of all very generous! we need more stars like you, in the future you should invite the other two and teach them, I think they forgot how to really intertain the public!

ellen you are by far the best person i have ever seen! and hope fully will meet !!and if it wanst for your show i would be hanging myself all day long b/c my 2 yr old son is a crazy lil man! so you really get me in a ggod mood for that hour your on everyday! i would love to see a show some time ! and maybe you can meet my lil terror!

I love this child! Its one of those children you see that makes you want to have a child! SOOoooo cute and adorable. She's such an attention getter ... thus smart as a tack!!! Where did that saying come from? Tacks arn't smart... they don't even have brains! LOL

OMG, I remember learning this song...and to this day I can sing it!!! (Although not with that much charm!!!) For the longest time my husband did NOT believe this song existed!!! Thank you Ellen...for your love, your laughter, and your "realness"...MMMMUUUUAAAAHHH!!!
