Today In Ellen History

On this day in 1967, Ellen sings the 50 states song for her class. No one notices that she adds South Virginia as one of the states and forgets to include Ohio.

On this day in 2006, 3 year old Isabella Natallini cracks Ellen up when she sings “The 50 States Song,” It becomes one of the most beloved moments from the show.

I'm in the eleventh grade, and I can honestly say I can't say all fifty states in order...or at all. But I am capable of saying all of the South American countries and their capitals. But I didn't even learn that until the sixth grade. And I have never even been to South America, and I have lived in the United States for my entire life. I give props to that little girl. She's so adorable. I'm going to teach my four year old sister how to do that, but i have to teach myself how to do that first!

Ellen, that little girl has a lot of talent just like you do. I love your shows. You are the best.

O.K. I needed a "pick-me-up" cause there was a in my family. This litttle really did the job! Unfortunately, I was at the local library when I watched this and almost got kicked out from laughing so much.

OMG!!! How cute is this little doll! I sent this to my office so I can forward it on to my other friends! Anytime I need a laugh I will watch this over and over!

Oh my goodness, she is so cute! I love your show! If I'm ever on it, (PLEASE GOD!) I bet you I would run the wrong way, too.

This is so good, I enjoy your show so very much, whenever I watch you have me either laughing, saying "ooooh noooo" in amazement or ... just this is such a positive upbeat show with some downhome values. Keep it up !!!!

Ellen,

I wrote a letter to you saying I wanted to come to your show for my 50th Birthday on March 22, 2008. I have not heard from you. I love your shows and watch them religiously. You are the best. You are such a fun loving person.

Please review my letter and let me know. I am waiting for the good news that I can come to your show.

Hey Ellen,
Just watched the video. Isabella and you were quite a team. I have a 3 yr old grandaughter, I know how hard it is to get them to show off sometimes, then sometimes hard to get them to quit.
I agree with the people that think you should do a special with children. Maybe like a Christmas or whatever holiday you celebrate.
Don't know if you have ever heard the saying "you can tell alot about a person by the way they are with children and animals." Well you got both of them covered and they seem to feel that connection.
Have a good day,
Teresa

oh my goodness she is so cute

ISABELLA NATALLINI, WOW!!!!! I COULD NOT DO THAT, BUT HER MOTHER DID WELL WITH A LITTLE UP-BEAT JAZZY TUNE.

GOOD DAY ELLEN, IT IS SATURDAY MARCH 1, 08. I AM ALL OVER YOUR SIGHT, CHECKING THINGS OUT.

JUST WANTED TO SAY, WE MAY HAVE ANOTHER ELLEN COMING OUR WAY IN A FEW YEARS WITH THAT LITTLE PRINCESS. COUGH, COUGH, TEHETEHE. "WHAT A HOOT". YOU DO GET SOME GREAT PEOPLE AND KIDS ON YOUR SHOW. ALWAYS WORTH WHILE TO WATCH BECAUSE IT ALWAYS PUTS A SMILE ON MY FACE TIL' IT IS FEEDING TIME FOR THE CATS. NO THEY ARE SPOILED AND I LOVE THEM. HAVE A GREAT DAY. THANK YOU FOR THAT VIDEO. YOUR FAN, FRIEND AND PAL MISS PATRICIA LE BARD
