Heath Ledger

Heath Ledger was one of our favorite guests and a friend. We will miss him immensely. The world will miss his incredible talent. As we remember him fondly, here is a clip from the last time heath was on the show.

I surprise myself with how affected I am about his death. A week has passed and I think I'm more sad as time goes by. I've never met him, but my acting group coach was the person who discovered him years ago. He was a success story and it made us feel like he was "one of us" from Perth. We all feel the same when we get together and talk about it.

Thank you Ellen for posting this. The expression on your face when you made the announcement drew a tear.

You sharing that memory with us says more about the man than countless other memorials.

We can see a young fun loving man, who although not always comfortable in limelight, was able to show everyone that underneath the shy exterior was a friend to those who understood his complex personality and loved him unconditionally.

He was taken before his time. Back here in Perth, where the sun is shining on this beautiful summers day, we remember him as a much loved son with pride and joy. Although I never knew him I will miss him and his presence. Australia is proud of you Heath and you will be greatly missed.

Thank you ellen for paying tribute to our wonderfull heath ledger, he is being missed so much here in Australia, he touched so many of us in a way no celebrity has been able to do. He was fun and so down to earth. May his spirit live on in matilda and yours and portias friend is resting with the angels above. I know he was a dear mate to you and portia and my heart goes out to you both. Thank you from all in Australia. RIP HEATH

Ellen,
my sadness about the loss of Heath Ledger is a great one.
Never in my time did I think Heath,a wonderful,young,and talented man,would leave this world so early.
I am only 15 years old and I don't think the acting
world will be the same without him.
I try not to cry anytime I see a video or picture of
him.I have never felt so sad about any celebrity
who has passed on. I will miss him dearly. Thanks for the beautiful tribute.The world lost a beautiful
smile and talent.

What a lovely tribute Ellen! Heath Ledger was an amazing actor and seemed to be one of the most wonderful human beings as well. I will truly miss him.

Ellen, You are a class act.... what memories you have with Heath and fun ones at that. What a wonderful tribute to a man who could be like any other man on the street, HUMAN..... God Bless him and his family at this sad time and may they have comfort in knowing they had a beautiful son and father they shared with the world...

Thank you for the clip. He will surely be missed by everyone. I'm a big fan of his and will miss his face and talent in future movies. As a friend of his, I'm glad that you know how to pay tribute without the dark side.

The world dimmed a little on that day.

dear ellen, i just wanted to express my sorrow for the loss or your friend, my heart was so very sad also for his family and for his litte girl. heath ledger will live on in his daughter, for i seen a glimpse of her on tv and she is a picture of him.I will truely miss him in film he was a wonderful actor and again he will be missed. so again ellen i am sorry for the loss of your friend.

Ellen, thank you for reminding us what a great sense of humor Heath had. In the wake of his death it was a nice change to laugh about his life, while watching the bobsled video. I have to say however that I am at a loss for words in trying to understand the protest group who attacks his moral character after he has passed away. Disturbing his family and his fans when they are attempting to have leace and comfort in their turmoil. These are the same people who attack the families of deceased soldiers who fight in the war. How shameful they are to attack those who are no longer here. If they had such a problem with Brokeback mountain, why not protest at the theatres, not attack a single player in the movie when he is gone? I'm sorry to bring up such sad things, it just makes me more grateful there is someone like you to help us all remember him as we should. I hope his family can have some time to grieve and heal. He was a wonderful person.

That was a beautiful tribute, its makes anybody sad whether you knew him as a friend or just a friend on the tv screen. He was an amazing actor and from everything I here he was an amazing person. My love goes out to his family and friends like yourself that have obviously been touched by such a lovely person in there life. I thinks its important to remember a man of such talent but also of such love and laughter. Rest in peace heath ledger you will be missed.

i woke up one fine morning, and heard my elder sister rushing to my room, breaking the devastating news about heath ledger's death. it shook me for a little while, and i took the whole day to digest it. i may not personally know him, but i believe he was a good man and an awesome talent, and he will be dearly missed. i may be living in a small country (Singapore) but i can confidently say that a lot of my friends and even my family know who heath ledger is and how much we loved him. he was a handsome and talented actor who rocked the movie Brokeback Mountain and he will forever be in our hearts((:

Yes he was young but very well loved by all that he touched in his life. I haven't forgoten all the time ever seeing a good person be taken form all of us befor they got to the best part in there life.
I have to say that We will all miss a great young person like him.
Hope you have a great week and never forget you got ton's of Friends in All of Canada as well.

Matilda will be able to remember her father through videos like yours, because they will remind her of how fun her Dad was. Thank you Ellen for the classy tribute to Heath Ledger. I too, a fan like many others, felt I knew him in some way and am deeply saddened that this great man and actor is gone from this world. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, and especially Matilda who is too young to understand why she can't see her daddy anymore. My heart is breaking. We'll miss you Heath!
