Thank you Ellen, for your tribute to Heath Ledger. If you should leave us tomorrow, Ellen, know today that you are loved by many. You are a kind-hearted spirit and it shows. It's so sad that Heath died. Although he was a tremendous actor, I have the feeling that he was afraid, insecure and very lonely. I just wish the impossible; that he were back with us to know how many of us really loved this person that we didn't even know. May he rest in peace. Thanks again, Ellen! Remember, you are loved a lot!

I can't think of any better tribute than this one. He will always be remembered, and the best way to remember him is with a smile on his face.

Ellen, thanks for that lovely tribute to Heath Ledger. It was so great to see him (and you) having fun. For almost two weeks I have been very upset by his passing. I have enjoyed all his movings, including 10 Things I Hate About You!! I appreciated his raw, emotional work in Brokeback Mountain. What a deeply moving and heartbreaking love story. Of course the loss is very sad, but I'm not entirely sure why it has been so distressing for me when there are so many sad things that happen everyday. Perhaps it is because he tried to be like all of us...an "Everyman" if you will. He seemed so honest and humble in his interviews and didn't seem afraid to reveal his heart. He seemed to be searching...as we all are... for what this life is really all about. He was human after all. It can be so easy to think of famous people as immortal. Perhaps it is because his daughter is just one month younger than my own. I cannot imagine having to part from her. It is my greatest fear. Perhaps it is because he was far too young and too talented and I will greatly miss the film works that will now never be. For whatever reason I have been so bothered I do mourn for his passing and feel such sadness for Michelle Williams, his family, and his precious daughter that will not have her own personal memory of her daddy. May they find peace in the memories of him.

Thank you for paying tribute to Heath Ledger on your show and website. This clip makes me both laugh and cry. Heath was an awesome actor, incredibly handsome and a down to earth person. He didn't need to stay in the hollywood limelight, because onscreen and off, he lit up and touched us all with his own special aura. His adlib in this clip (the juggling) then to helping you up at the end only goes to show us what a gentle, wonderful, fun-loving, and talented person he was. My sympathy to his family, friends, and his little daughter. WOW Heath we will miss you!!! :-(

My favorite actor! The media needs to respect his memory and remember that Matilda will one day see these stories of speculation. No one was there with him at the end and no one will ever know what happened. Heath will be remembered as a very talented actor and he is respected by so many. Heath was a true actor and respected the craft unlike so many today. To think about him being gone is so sad. There are no words to describe this loss. Hollywood lost one of the brighest stars, but in the work he left us he will continue to shine.

This was a wonderful thing to see. My hope is that his daughter and his family will have many clips like the one you showed on your show to remember the wonderfulness of Heath. I feel very sad for daughter and his family. I admire you Ellen for being so lovely and showing the world how remarkable and fun-loving Heath Ledger was.

He obviously did not know how much he was loved. Neither did we, till now!!! Death lets you know how much someone has effected you, how sad for us to find this out now... He would fight his way back through the cosmos to thank us all!
After Michele kicked him out, too bad he didn't go back to Australia for a while with his loving family! So sorry he didn't, he'd still be here as our brother in the world!
