It is a sweet clip of Heath, as many others I am still in shock over hearing of his untimely death.
It is soo easy to focus on the death itself, on that single day. We should be thankful for the time he was here, and that he was able to affect different people in soo many ways.

Watching his movies I never felt like I was watching an actor, he became the character. He must have loved his work to perform the rolls soo wonderfully!
You could relate to the characters, and hence him so well... As though he were an old friend.

I've been watching his movies over and over with a smile that we had him on this earth for the time that we did. How fortunate he will live on through little Matilda Rose.

Bless his family and everyone he touched in his lifetime. He will be missed, and very much remembered.

Dear Ellen, thank you for sharing this Heath-Clip with us. He was so down to earth in your show, laughing, having fun and a little nervous... just Heath!!
I will always remember him!!! RIP

HEATH LEDGER ALWAYS ON MY MIND!

I choose to write this, as was it a fineally letter to Heath.

Dear Heath.

I can't explain how much You have touched my heart. Not only were You a wonderful person, but also one of the biggest actors in my world.

Your films have mooved me in a way no one has done before. And I thank You for that.

I hope You'll find love, joy and hope in heaven. And hopefully we'll meet someday, when I get where im going.

A hole lot of love here form Denmark..

Ellen:

Thank you for posting this wonderful clip. It was comforting to see this beautiful man enjoying his life and a poignant reminder of what we have lost in him. Heath was and always will be a truly spiritual creature that had the ability to touch us on an emotional level. He "lived" each character he protrayed in every movie, and we lived it right along with him. Thank you for sharing your moments with him as there are those of us who are still grieving for him deeply.

Heath will always be the Knight of My Heart.

ellen,
the video you posted of Heath Ledger on your show doing the bobsledding showed the true Heath, fun down to earth and a genuinly nice caring guy. As fans, we are going to truly miss what more he could have offered us.Rest in Peace now Heath! we will forever keep you in our hearts!
thanks Ellen for sharing your clips with us the fans so as that we too can smile and remember the good times he left us.

Ellen My Dear -- I think I have cried once a day since January 22nd. I am devastated by his departure from us. The clip you posted put a smile on my face in the midst of my grieving. thank you.

Dear Ellen,

You have been a favorite of mine for years, and my 8 year old daughter says, "I just LOVE Ellen!" everytime we have you on. :)

Thank you for posting this clip. I too have been saddened by Heath Ledger's death, and struck by his passing like I haven't experienced when hearing of a celebrity death before. You were lucky to have known him and he was lucky to have known you. Your face at the end of the clip makes me cry because your sadness is obvious and I'm sure you were just wanting to finish the show so you could grieve privately.

Anyway those are my two cents. My sincerest sympathies go out to you for losing a good friend. Don't ever change - you are the best!

Dear Ellen,

Thank you so much for sharing that clip of Heath Ledger!!! That was truely wonderful. It was very up-lifting. Heath was by far one of my most favorite male actors. When he played the role in Brokeback he won my heart! It took a lot of courage on his part to play a character society was not quite ready for and I admire him for taking that chance!

My thoughts go out to his family and to Michelle and his lovely daughter Matilda. My heart goes out to Michelle. She has done an awsome job of staying clear of the media, I truely hope they give her the space she deserves now more than ever!

Ellen, I adore you, you are such a fun and loving person, please don't change a bit!!! Again thank you for the tribute to Heath, I am sure he is smiling from the Heavens whenever the clip is viewed.

Sincerely,

Julie

A handsome and talented angel, gone too soon. I am sure to share his love where it is needed more than here on Earth. Thank you Ellen through you we all get to share a moment with him in laughter and a moment to reflect.

I was pleasantly surprised and quite impressed to see that cute guy from "10 things I hate about you" grow into such an amazing actor. He played different extremes with eaze and I don't think there will ever be another Heath. There can never be another Heath Ledger and he will always have a place in my "favorite people" section.

I wish only the best to his daughter, family and friends. I'm deeply sorry for their loss.

And thank you Ellen, for showing his fun side when everyone else seems to focus on saying bad things that don't matter anymore.

Rest in Peace, Heath Ledger.

I have watched this before on youtube, but watching it again here makes us see again and again the fun and loving side of Heath (and as many other celebrities we do not often see) which reminds us that they are human too. I am from NZ and has and still affected by his passing away, but truly I believe that it has so by him being a loving father to his darling lil girl. Its clear that he still loves Michelle and despite whatever his daughter was the light of his life. He was laid to rest yesterday in his hometown in Perth, Australia. "He was truly like no other."

Thank you for sharing this clip - and watching your shows is good therapy although we do get them a week or a few days later.
Give us a holla out next time on your show Ellen.

Kindest Regards,

Delta.

As i sit here reading all the comments I can't help to wonder why this has affected me so. I was a fan, most definitely, but I can't seem to stop thinking about it, literally since that day it's all I can think about. My husband is 28 and I turned 28 Jan. 29th and it's scary to think the wrong combo of medicines could take my husband away from me. I mourn for his family, his daughter, Michelle, and all of his friends. The fans didn't kow him personally, but we are mourning this tragic loss as well. Also I would like to challenge anyone who watches all of the shows that made Heath look like a lush, drug user to stop watching them, who cares if he liked to party, have some respect and don't trash someone who has died. Thanks Ellen, you made me laugh as always with your tribute to such a wonderful man

You are a wonderful person, Ellen.
Thank you for that beautiful tribute. :)

Ellen, thank you very much for sharing that tribute. How could you not love Heath and laugh after seeing that clip. He seemed very, very sweet. I recently purchased Casanova, and I look forward to seeing Heath's talent in yet another great movie of his. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends and also to Michelle and their daughter, Matilda. Heath will be missed and not forgotten. God bless.

Who knew he was so funny! What a great actor...and though most people did not personally know him...he seemed like such a nice guy...so sad he's gone...but not forgotten

Ellen,
As an Australian I would like to thankyou for your moving tribute to Heath Ledger. My thoughts go out to his family and daughter Matilda. Sad that he had to go so young, but he left his mark in our lives forever.
Thankyou.

thanks ellen.
As an australian living in victoria i was brought to tears watching your rememberence clip of heath and proud of how you have not dragged his name through the mud like most other tabloid shows.

it was also nice of you and portia to attend his memorial..

Heath is the standing representive of what a good aussie can be....

thanks

laura Yates

Ellen, I know Heath was one of your friends. I was so sad when I heard of his passing. He was so young and talented. I pray for his family, friends, and little daughter everyday. He will not be forgotten.

Dear Ellen:

I only today became aware of the tribute to Heath Ledger you had on your show on Jan. 23rd. I haven't been watching much recent television as I wade through a backlog of stuff already on my DVR.

Anyway, I heard about your clip and came to your website to watch it. I just want to thank you for the lovely tribute to Heath. I, like so many others, have been so affected by his death and I'm not sure why. He did seem like a regular bloke now, didn't he? And so incredibly gifted -and he had only skimmed the surface of what he was capable of. And what an exquisite spirit - I think that is what really got to me, that we will never see that spirit again. But I wanted to thank you so much for running that tribute. I hope you will keep it on your site for awhile, so we can go back and look at it from time to time. I am sorry for your loss, Ellen. Thanks again.

Sincerely,
Dee Luther
