Heath Ledger was one of our favorite guests and a friend. We will miss him immensely. The world will miss his incredible talent. As we remember him fondly, here is a clip from the last time heath was on the show.

He is such a good actor. He was fantastic in all his roles. I've just seen The Dark Knight and he is SO GOOD. I wish he was here to share his glory! His one of the best actors in the world. I Hope his happy whenever he is. LOVE YOU HEATH.
This twist of fate is heart-wrenching and the consensus is clear: Heath left too soon. Yet the truth lies in these comments posted and no doubt sadness is felt across the world. The echoes of Heath have been tremendously loud and certain. We, the corporeal clods of this earth have lost something so big, a devastation to our humanity; yet something has also been gained. His death made us realize that death IS and will forever be at every moment in this world no matter your size, shape, or health condition. Death, unfortunately is heart-breaking, but Heath's has also inspired a generation of us that can now live true. We can live with inspiration from a brilliant spirit. We can breath to a different beat. He has touched us and he will live on in us. We know without knowing we know that life is not ephemeral, life is not fleeting (spirits live on). Death is an unknown change in form. There is unity in the experiences of our existence. We are all subject to tragedy, but are all also able to turn tragedy into belief and confidence that our spirit is greater than all things. Like Heath's was and Is. How will we get past this tragedy?
Realizing the beauty in their spirits, we will now imitate our heroes: live our lives fearlessly and passionately like Heath and Ellen have done. That is why we love them so.
My heart is with all who hear this.
Always and truly,
Rachel Nelson
ellen, heath and i were the same age. i watch a knights tale everyday for as long as i remember. i was a huge fan before i ever realized, i never imagined a wonderful guy like heath could be gone so soon. i didnt know him personally but could only imagine the joy he brought to everyone with that amazing smile and genuine kindness. i have triplet daughters that have also been hurt by this tragic news. it has been a while now since he has passed, yet i cant seem to get over it. i guess he was just such a good person that i will always love him and think of him.my 11 year old daughters and i wanted to tell all his family, friends and fans that we are deeply sorry for your loss,he seemed to be a wonderful man. i only wish i could have seen him preform for many more years. i only wish i had met him and had the privilege to see that wonderful smile and the great personality in person.

Ellen, thank you for sharing this post with your fans. I am a fan of Heath Ledger and always will be. He was truly a remarkable man/ actor and will always be remembered. Thank you for the tribute.
It is a sweet clip of Heath, as many others I am still in shock over hearing of his untimely death.
It is soo easy to focus on the death itself, on that single day. We should be thankful for the time he was here, and that he was able to affect different people in soo many ways.
Watching his movies I never felt like I was watching an actor, he became the character. He must have loved his work to perform the rolls soo wonderfully!
You could relate to the characters, and hence him so well... As though he were an old friend.
I've been watching his movies over and over with a smile that we had him on this earth for the time that we did. How fortunate he will live on through little Matilda Rose.
Bless his family and everyone he touched in his lifetime. He will be missed, and very much remembered.
Dear Ellen, thank you for sharing this Heath-Clip with us. He was so down to earth in your show, laughing, having fun and a little nervous... just Heath!!
I will always remember him!!! RIP
I choose to write this, as was it a fineally letter to Heath.

Ellen:
Thank you for posting this wonderful clip. It was comforting to see this beautiful man enjoying his life and a poignant reminder of what we have lost in him. Heath was and always will be a truly spiritual creature that had the ability to touch us on an emotional level. He "lived" each character he protrayed in every movie, and we lived it right along with him. Thank you for sharing your moments with him as there are those of us who are still grieving for him deeply.
Heath will always be the Knight of My Heart.
ellen,
the video you posted of Heath Ledger on your show doing the bobsledding showed the true Heath, fun down to earth and a genuinly nice caring guy. As fans, we are going to truly miss what more he could have offered us.Rest in Peace now Heath! we will forever keep you in our hearts!
thanks Ellen for sharing your clips with us the fans so as that we too can smile and remember the good times he left us.
Ellen My Dear -- I think I have cried once a day since January 22nd. I am devastated by his departure from us. The clip you posted put a smile on my face in the midst of my grieving. thank you.
Dear Ellen,
You have been a favorite of mine for years, and my 8 year old daughter says, "I just LOVE Ellen!" everytime we have you on. :)
Thank you for posting this clip. I too have been saddened by Heath Ledger's death, and struck by his passing like I haven't experienced when hearing of a celebrity death before. You were lucky to have known him and he was lucky to have known you. Your face at the end of the clip makes me cry because your sadness is obvious and I'm sure you were just wanting to finish the show so you could grieve privately.
Anyway those are my two cents. My sincerest sympathies go out to you for losing a good friend. Don't ever change - you are the best!
Dear Ellen,
Thank you so much for sharing that clip of Heath Ledger!!! That was truely wonderful. It was very up-lifting. Heath was by far one of my most favorite male actors. When he played the role in Brokeback he won my heart! It took a lot of courage on his part to play a character society was not quite ready for and I admire him for taking that chance!
My thoughts go out to his family and to Michelle and his lovely daughter Matilda. My heart goes out to Michelle. She has done an awsome job of staying clear of the media, I truely hope they give her the space she deserves now more than ever!
Ellen, I adore you, you are such a fun and loving person, please don't change a bit!!! Again thank you for the tribute to Heath, I am sure he is smiling from the Heavens whenever the clip is viewed.
Sincerely,
Julie

Hi there Ellen,
I just came across this page on the internet. Thank you for making this dedication to Heath. I was just starting my last semester of college when I saw the headlines of his passing. I can't tell you how much I struggled to gain will power to keep writing my papers in order to graduate in time. I was in denial to think I was not affected by Heath's untimely death.
When I got home that weekend, my eyes were practically glued to the news channels to learn more of Heath's death. It scared me to think that a person, not much older than myself, who is healthy and smart, could die from an accidental mixture of drugs. My mom clearly saw that I was affected and helped me try to gain my focus back to my studies.
Now I have graduated college with a Bachelor of Arts degree in TV Communication and I'm now back in school to study Film at Full Sail University. I guess you could say that Heath had a part in inspiring me to explore a career in filmmaking, as well as many of Heath's co-stars and the people who brought those movies to life.
I love watching your show, Ellen. You make me laugh when I'm having a bad day. I enjoyed watching when you had both presidential candidates on your show. Even though you have different opinions from John McCain, I really appreciated that you had him on anyway.
Anyways, to end on a happy note, Happy Birthday! I'm late, but better late than never! I was surprised to see that you are 50 now. You don't look much older than 35, how do you do it?
I hope to meet you some day!
Always,
Donna
