ellen - i have a very good friend that has cancer for the 4th time-it is in 24 places in her body now-i am ill myself with a lung condition and i am on disability and she is my inspiration-she has 2 little girls and all she has ever wanted for them are nice girlie bedrooms - the girls rooms are really small and frankly their whole house needs work-she had a business for many years of making all natural lotions and potions i called the and for everything she sold she donated to the cancer society-they had to file bankrupcy this year and she lost her business and no one from any cancer society offered any help - it breaks my heart-i know she was to sick to keep the business going but how sad is all of this- i look next door and pray for her every morning-if i had the money i would help her and give her the gift she wants and needs for her house and her girls but i can't even afford to buy my self a car- i have a 1998 jeep - we live in cornfields in the middle of indiana and we are both private people - if you could find it in your heart to maybe gather donations from your friend to help her - it would mean so much - to want such simple things when you are fighting death-well she just deserves it so - she is so brave and so sweet and of all things she worries about me-i know you get many requests and i never miss your show - but i see the hardluck stories on your show and i feel for them but this girl has fought cancer for 22 years and has never asked for anything so i thought i would ask-keep up your good work and just so you know your show brings me laughter every day-on my bad breathing days i have to be careful watching you because i laugh so hard i have to do an extra breathing treatment-but its ok because i need to laugh -sincerly nancy mckillip

Ellen, Just wanted to wish you a fantastic birthday celebration. I know I don't have to tell you how much you are loved by people all around the world and that today is your special day. Enjoy every moment of it. Unfortunately I'll be missing the show cause my youngest is going in to have her wisdom teeth removed and well.... she wants her mommy there!!! LOL!!!! so I probably won't get to see it till the next day on-line. Anyhewwwww, just wanted to wish you an amazing Birthday! From one of your Canadian Fans Maria T.

hi ellan, i tuned into your show yesterday, and wasnt impressed by your comments on new zealanders. we dont say shalome, and we can speak properly, unlike the stupid australians. every one knows they are out bad mouthing us, they are jealous, we are the educated country, we speak properly, and have the better skin. we dont kill people ifwe dont like their accent. they rubbish every one, but they want to be like them. the ammount of nzers, and english, asian, and now the indians. it all speaks for its self. they have the worst attitude, trying to make other countries do what they say, and yet, they still do what they want to do. they should stay in their own country, and no television articles on other countries, or plane to go there, just on themselves, since they think they are better then any one else. no wonder they have had a hiding in america.and no doubt your australian wife has been filling your head with rubbish. so no more, your not funny, or doing yourself any favours. judith[an angry new zealander.

Hey Ellen
I got to tell you on January 17 of last month my wife and I came down to see your show unfortunately we were on stand by. Since it was my wife’s Birthday that day I thought we would have a good chance on being part of the audience. This was a gift for my wife because in Oct of 2007 the business I worked for 18 years shut down operations here on the West Coast. I thought this might cheer her up after all we have been through the last few months. We both love ya girl and not working now has given me a chance to really get to know you. I watch you every day now and the things you have done for so many people really make a difference in a lot of lives. We have been invited back to your show for the February 7 taping I hope we will get to see you this trip. Keep doing what you do best in making everyone happy and always looking forward to the next day we all get to spend on this wonderful planet we all share. Looking forward to seeing you.
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO YOU. I also have to tell you your staff is truly remarkable they took great care of everyone that day we were there and all of their hard work does not go unnoticed

Ellen; Happy Belated Birthday...I DVR your shows everyweek...and sit down and speed through the commercials just to watch your show every evening..It's great when I can watch "2" at a time in one setting...But, because I have to excercise also, my son came up with the great idea to have my tread-climber in front of the TV in my loft(keeps him in front of the BIGGER screen!! downstairs)and I can climb and watch at the sametime!! So, God Bless and thank you for the laughter especially after a long hard day/week of working...Your Fan, Lenore

Ellen,

My daughter and myself watch your show all the time. I have been out of work on disability for over a year and because of all of my physical\emotional problems I have settled into a state of depression. Your show is one of the few things in my life that lift my spirits and make me laugh. You give me strenth to keep going day by day. You bring joy to so many people that you can't even imagine. My daughter delayed starting college to help me around the house. We own a very old but charming 1870 farmhouse in a small town outside of buffalo New York. There is a real chance we will loose it because of being behind on the mortgage but without health insurance and many medicines and taking care of $600 gas bills etc I have to do what I can to keep food on the table and for my 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 parrots, coi fish. The house needs so many repoairs but I do have friends that have tried to do repairs and remodleing but money on disability is very tight for materialata. I don't even have a furnace and my windows are the origonal lead based windows that came with the house. I am applying for any grants I can but becuase of my daughters part time job at a tanning salon and now her finally started college late I may not qualify because of the little bit of money she makes puts me above the alotted cap to receive low income grants \ heap etc. I am writing all this to you to let you know why your show and YOU yourself are for atleast one hour of happiness and laughter.

The mark you have already left on this world in you first 50 years is so much that I KNOW you will inspire and save many hearts and souls for atleast the next 50 years because God wouldn't take an angel like you before you had 50 more years to lift people up from their darkness and shine your glorious light that reaches through the TV to help so many.

May GOD bless you and yours

HAPPY GLORIOUS 50th and many, many more.

Hi Ellen
We love your show.... you make us laugh.
Yesterday 1/28/2008, you made pineapple chicken and a delicious looking Pomegranite Martini. I am not finding either recipe on you site, is it possible to get both those recipes... I am just dying to try them.
Can't wait till your next show!!
Happy 5oth !!

Thanks
