Ellen, thank you for telling our grandson Cody's story. He is an amazing little guy and I know he touches everyone he meets. I do not think he ever stops smiling and laughing. All of this would not be possible if it was not for the Texas Scottish Rite. I want to say personal thank you from Pa and me as we live in California and can not get out to Texas as often as we would like, so this gave us an extra unexpected visit with him and his sister Callie.
Again thanks. Pa and Grandma

I just wanted to say to all of you that have taken the time to post a message about Cody, thank you! And to Ellen, we appreciate you taking the time to tell the world his story! You did an excellent job! As Cody's mom, it is so touching to see all of the wonderful comments that you all have left us. We have been reading each of them to Cody as well. It is hard to believe that our son is capable of touching so many, and we hope that he will be able to for years to come. Cody's heart is so full of love for life and compassion for others. We hope you will all continue to watch his story as he grows and matures as he has so many big dreams that he is sure to conquer. Not only does Cody dream of being a Pediatric Anesthesiologist, but he dreams of representing the USA in the Paralympics for swimming and running. There is no doubt in my mind that he will reach these goals if he decides that is what he wants to do as he gets older. To learn more about Cody and follow his story, please go to www.teamcody.com. There is a message board on his site as well as a means of reaching us by email. Again, thank you all!

Ellen
Thank you for having Cody on the program. As a member of the Scottish Rite and the Shrine I can only hope it raises an interest in the hospitals. There is NO CHARGE for this treatment.

This was one of the most amazing children I have ever seen. Thank you so much for sharing him with us, he blew me away and I'm a better person for having been touched by his spirit. I have no doubt he'll reach whatever goal he sets for himself.

I am a 29 year old female and just had my left leg amputated about 3 1/2 months ago. Seeing Cody put a smile on my face. He is such an inspiration to me! I am so blessed to still be alive, and I am no longer afraid.

Like Cody, my daughter is a beautiful amazing young woman. Being born without a right hand, she was a patient of the Shriner's Hospital until age 21. Because of the wonderful care these hospitals provide, she was inspired to become an occupational therapist. Now 23, she graduated with her masters degree this summer and just passed her boards. Plus, she is engaged to a wonderful young man. Cody is a great example, with encouragement and the right attitude, the sky is the limit!

Ellen,

After watching Cody today on your show i now know that i can do anything also. I had my left leg amputated below the knee in July of last year. And for him being 6 years old is like him kicking this 39 year old guy in the butt. I now know that i can run on my prostetic leg if i have half the determination that Cody has. Good Luck Cody, God Bless you and your family. You are a real source of inspiration.

What a great show!
I watched it TWICE and both
times I bawled my eyes out!
Cody is the perfect example
of an optimist. Even though
he has 2 prostetic legs he
keeps living like a normal kid.

Cody has had a huge effect on me.
I would love to be part of his team!
If possible, could you send some information
on how I can be part of team Cody?

Great show today, especially seeing amazing, adorable, Cody. I'm a volunteer at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (where Cody is treated). He is like all the other patients at this wonderful hospital - they all have the most fantastic outlook on life; overlooking their disabilities. I wish you could visit TSRHC - there is NO CHARGE to the patients. They don't even have a billing department! The hospital is a Masonic Charity. Thank you again for sharing Cody's story. As Gladys would say "keep on keeping on", Ellen and have a Happy Birthday.

Cody,

You did a great job on ellen today! We had such a fun time visiting with you and your family when you stopped at the Naval Medical Center San Diego this week! Keep up the great work and thanks for showing David how to run!

Ellen,
Thank you so much for having Cody on your show. As you now know, he is truly an amazing kid!

Ellen,

Cody is an amazing child! I had my children watch it on tv and the internet! He is an inspiration to anyone who has difficulties in their life, both physical and emotional. I had to take a double take on his mom. I thought she looked familiar and she does! Tina is my sorority sister from CSUF back in the early 90's and I have lost contact with her. I would love to be in communications with her and her wonderful family again. Is there a way I can get her information or you give mine to her if there are security issues? She was in my pledge class and I would love to talk with her about Cody and her life in Texas!

Thanks so much!

The doctors said he wouldn't live, he wouldn't walk, he wouldn't thrive... he proved everyone wrong. Cody is a miracle that was put on this earth to inspire and help humanity. Just by being who he was born to be. He is a bright light that has transformed my day and will do so for countless others. Thank you for bringing us his sotry, Ellen.

Cody, we are so proud of you! What a joy it was to watch you on Ellen! Great job!

Cody was the ring bearer in our wedding and stole the show when he sang "Car Wash" on stage with the band. There really is nothing he can't do.

We love you! Way to go!

What an absolute inspiration. This child has overcome so much at such a young age. It just goes to show the outlook you have is all determined by how you choose to view your obstacles. And great job to the parents!
