Ellen,You are by far the best talk show host and you have one of the biggest hearts of any one person can have.I love aniamls and I know you do to.And you help so many people,if I was able I would do like you and help so many. You are just a great person. And I always said GOD will reward those in the end.God Bless you
I just wanted to say I love your show and would love to get tickets to come see you in person. please read the e-mail I sent u
I tried entering your contest for the 12 day giveaway and it would not upload a photo or send my story, I rewrote and rewrote it, So I am sending it this way and hope you will read it. I am a single mother of 5.
My oldest son Passed away June 22, 2005 at the age of 24 from falling down cement/steel stairs on Fathers day morning in an apt. building that had no working hall lights.
A girl heard the fall, but no one called 911 for 2 hours. He was transported to a local hospital who called me at 6:o4am fathers day morning and told me they were transporting him to another hospital were he had emergency brain surgery- his main artery in his brain was severed and he hemorrhaged on the operating table & lost all but 4% of his blood volume He was on life support for 5 days and I had to make the decision to take him off. (THE WORST DAY in my life!!!!)
I have a 20 year old developmentally disabled son. A Son 17who joined the National Guard and went through basic training last summer. And a daughter 17 who would like to go to nursing school-(she decided that after her brother died.) (Yes Twins)and a 14 year old son.
Their father and I separated in 1997 and Divorced in 2001
I have since not celebrated holidays like I use to.
I know my children deserve better.
They also had 3 other major deaths in the last 3 years. My Grandmother, My Aunt who was visiting her father in the hospital(he had heart surgery) she was in a car accident after she left the hospital and we still don't know what caused it- She was in a coma for a couple weeks. My stepfather who of coarse is the kids Grandpa who was like a father to my oldest son- he passed away of lung cancer at age of 59 and never smoked a day in his life, and before he passed my oldest son promised him to take care of his Grandmother and Aunt(my mother & sister) who was 17 at the time.
My oldest son had already been taking care of me and my 4 children for the last 10 years, he felt like he had to be the man of the house.
So I have a lot of guilt, because he died so young and was always doing for us. I miss him so much- There are MANY days I don‘t know how to go on, but I know I have to for my other children. My heart breaks(CRUSHES) all day. I loved him so much!
As I love my other children also, I could never afford to take them on a real vacation, and since this is the Twins senior year-I would love to do something special for them,(all my children.)Please make my dream come true for them. It would be great to bring them to see your Ellen's 12 Days of Giveaways! And put some laughter back in their life.
We watch you all the time, You make me laugh and cry. You do bring so much joy to others.
Thank you,
Tammy
Dear Ellen,
I have been away from my family since August 23rd because I was diagnosed with NHL. Since my stay here in St. John's (NL/Canada)with my mom, I am an avid viewer of your show. I thoroughly enjoy it and continue to look forward to watching you make me laugh and take my mind off todays trials and tribulations. I look forward to your holiday shows (my favourite time of year)and hope you have a wonderful holiday with your famly. I am going home to Labrador City, for two weeks and intend to cherish every moment I have with family, friends, decorating the tree and wrapping presents. Life is what you make it! Don't count the days, make the days count. Take care and god bless.

PLEASE PLEASE KEEP ME IN MIND FOR TICKETS THIS YEAR!! IT WOULD REALLY MAKE MY HOLIDAY SEASON!! MY FAMILY WATCHES YOUR SHOW EVERY DAY AND WE ALSO DVR IT!! YOU REAlLY KNOW HOW TO BRIGHTEN THE FACES OF MANY PEOPLE!! HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON!
GOOD DAY ELLEN!
I BELIEVE IT TRULY DIFFICULT TO BE A PART OF AUDIENCE FOR TWELVE DAYS CHRISTMAS SHOW'S BUT THAT'S NOT WHAT I WAS THINKING, AS I'VE WROTE IN THE PAST MY SISTER AND I WATCH EVERY DAY! SHE'S A STROKE SURVIVOR AND WHEN YOU COME ON IT.S TIME FOR HER EXCERCISE BIKE. IT'S REALLY HELPED IN HER MEMORY HEALING, SO THANK YOU! EVERY SINCE I WAS A KID MY DAD ALWAYS PLAYED SANTA! WHEN I GOT OLD ENOUGH TO KNOW THIS IT BEGAN MY DESIRE TO DO WHAT MY DAD DID! I WAS EIGHTH GRADE MY FIRST TIME, AND WHAT A FEELING RECIEVE FROM CHILDREN'S EYES WHO TRULY BELIEVE! ANY WAY THAT BEGAN MY DESIRE TO DRESS AS OTHER THINGS SUCH AS BARNEY, MISS PIGGY, CALIFORNIA RAISIN AND MANY MORE TIMES AS SANTA! NOT MISSESS I HAVE A MASCULING VOICE! SO WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO PROPOSE TO YOU IS TO THINK ABOUT THE IDEA TO FULLFILL MY DREAM I HAVE HAD SINCE WATCHING YOUR 12 DAYS SHOWS TO STAND IN ONE DAY AS YOUR HOLIDAY MASCOT, WHATEVER THAT MIGHT BE THIS YEAR. IT'S MY FAVORITE PART OF YOUR HOLIDAY SHOWS. I WAS GONNA WRITE MUCH EARLIER THIS YEAR TO SEE IF I COULD DO IT FOR YOU BUT BY NOW I'M SURE IT'S ALL IN PLACE SO PLEASE CONSIDER A DAY OFF FOR THIS YEARS MASCOT AND ALLOW ME THE PLEASURE OF FILLING IN! THANKS FOR THE CONSIDERATION! HAPPY HOLIDAY'S
Ellen, I just wanted to tell you that I love your show. I just love your energy and humor and your zest for life. You give from your heart with true sincerity. My husband is retired now and also watches your show (he is soooo hooked). May God Bless you and Portia and keep you safe.
My sister and I would like to see you on one of your 12 days of Christmas give-a-way shows but I have issues with walking at times. I have numbness in my arms and legs due a cervical disk neck surgery. I will be watching your show during that time period(as everyday!). I laughed so hard at the Dennis Quaid going into that coffee shop. He was so funny I was crying. I saw him in the Baccus parade. He is one heck of a actor! P.S. Congrats on your marriage. I thought the October shows for breast cancer were outstanding. My mother survied it twice. She later passed away with brain cancer. God Bless You Girl!

I sent an email earlier but thought I would add this. As stated many times above your show is sooo much fun!! As I stated in my email ,it is one of the few things I can actually find to laugh about! Christmas is like a recurring PTS event for me and I used to be the most unfailing Christmas optimist!!! Since 2001 Christmas has been the worst for us. First the no Christmas because of heart transplant for my husband (2001), then the make up for last year (2002) all is well in the world, then house burned down withh all of our Christmas gifts and memories because in an effort to enjoy it as long as possible it was still up in February 03(even if it wasn't up we lost everything because it was a total loss, next 2003 Christmas in a hotel, 2004 was better but every year I now wonder what is going to happen!! Finally got into new house and pay 43% of total income for house payment and am now about to lose itif I can't find a job!! My son's family lives here too because he lost hisjob and if I lose the house I don't know what we all will do! So, I can't think of Christmas again without all of the bad stuff even though I am truly grateful for the friends and family that kept us going in 2001 and the best gift of all was my husband's life!! I know we will make it somehow and your show just let's me forget how bad thing are and allows me to laugh if only for a little while, thanks!!!!
