ELLEN CAN YOU HEAR ME, Eh?

Oh Ellen, Dear Ellen how I love your show. . .I've watched you ALL winter through the Canadian Snow.

Today is Mother's Day, and I was thinking about you. . and all of the nice things that you do.

You see this past Christmas, Santa didn't bring any toys. . .he decided instead to give us a 9lb Boy!

Yes, that's right Gabe was born on December 25th. . . I couldn't have asked for more precious gift.

It was hard in the begining to slowly be creeping. . .towards the TV to watch Ellen while baby was sleepin'.

We've fed, rocked, and burped through many a segment, it's been so much fun I could almost get pregnant! (Again. . .Wahhhh?)

Then along comes your Mother's Day Show, with goodies galore. . . is it possible that this new MOM could suddenly want more?

Ellen can you hear me? I'm in a far away land. . . no silly. . I mean Canada. . not Japan.

Are there any more goodies, baby gift's and treats? I wonder how you could get them here. . . Come on girl, load up your back seat!

Do you think of your fans who's "Loonie" is really one Dollar. . . Please oh Ellen. . . give me a "Holla"!

Sincerely with Love, Lise & Baby Gabe. . . we want you to know that you are our FAV!

Lise & Gabriel Rand

Hello Ellen. My wife really gets a kick out of you. I am an outside sales man for my company, so lately, becaused of the economy, I get to stop by home more often for lunch, usually when I do go home I walk in and find my wife sitting on the couch, all alone, laughing hysterically, I then know that Ellen is on and I have to make my own lunch. Ha-ha. Anyways my wife and I have been together for 14 years We have 2 sons Zackary 11 and Ryan 5. We lost our home of 9 years in this mortgage frenzy. We know are renting, after staying with my in lawsfor a month. I am entering my wife michele in this 12 days of christmas contest because she is the best in every way and deserves so much more than I can give her. I would love to show her that she really is special.

Hi Ellen,

What a great show, you always make me laugh. I can not believe the giveaways this week It just blew my mind. I wish I could be the one winning those prizes, the only thing i have ever won was a Big Mac when Mcdonalds opened up in my home town many years ago You had to sing the song in less then so many minutes lol what a hoot. Hope you pull my name out of a hat and I win something!

Hi. Wow, so this is how it's done! So glad we don't have to send picks or anything(no camera!). Well hey, I'm being selfish, and honest, and I'd like to win the 12 Days of Christmas Gifts, for myself!! Last year,at the age of 61 years old, I realized that I had not recieved one gift the entire season, not one gift card, not one dime. Pathetic. Spent the money I had on the nine grandchildren, none of which sent a thank you note, and had sandwiches for Christmas dinner. I'd like to win the gifts, and be able to keep a computer or camera or whatever for my self, then be able to give the grandkids the really nice gifts that are left!! What a treat to be able to give them more than a $20.00 gift card once a year! I realize that Mary and the rest of your staff may never read this, as you will likely get a million or more sob stories for the gifts, but I feel lots better inside just sharing with someone that last year was a sad Christmas for me-it is catharic(sp?), as I still haven't gotten over losing my Mother last year, and was very fortunate to have a Mother that loved me enough to make sure I had at least one gift/card each holiday season. Oh god, I sure do love my Mam, and miss her with all my heart.

Please enter me in the Mom's giveaway.

Hi Ellen,
I don't get the chance to watch your show everyday because I am a single mother of two girls and I am expecting the third girl in August of this year. But when I do watch your show it is always something that is very interesting and good. Like as for today for the Mothers. This was a good show especially with the big baby shower. I hope that my friends and family will have me a baby shower. But yours really touch me, especially when the husband were telling their wives that they love them and you can hear it in their voices that they really miss their families. Ellen this was a beautiful show today.

How exactly do we "enter" this contest? Seems to me this contest is over. Or have I missed something.

Hey Ellen, Thank you for making my Gift of Life enjoyable every show. I am 46 years old and about 2 weeks ago I almost died from a rare heart condition called Long QT. God gave me the Gift of Life and now I make every Moment a Gift. I wanted to nominate my daughter for your giveaway. She is 29 years old and pregnent with my 7th grandchild (her 3rd)and my 1st granddaughter. She is and always will be a better parent than I was and I want to show her how much she means to me. Her husbands mother just died and with what happened to me, she has really gone through so much stress and worry. She deserves to relax at least a little. Ellen, can you please help?

end entry

I am writing to nominate my daughter for the chance to win the great giveaway.
She had a baby on Christmas of 07 (also her birthday). This was her third pregnancy, she lost the first two. She has been a fantastic mother, I am so proud of her.
Ten years ago she got into drugs and started dancing for a living. I think a lot of it had to do with losing the first baby. She went through a lot. But when she found out she was pregnant this last time, she was afraid to get excited. But she wanted it so bad that she stayed at home, didn't go anywhere. Ate very healthy, took vitamins, and basically did everything in her power to have this baby.
The problem is, she had to quit her job too. She lives with me but I am on disability so I can't help her but to give her a roof over her head. She needs baby items very bad.
She is so crazy about your show. She tapes it everyday just in case she misses it. The baby even will sit in front of the t.v. and watch it.
Thank you
Nanette Parrett/Peoria, Il.

Hi Ellen or Hellen as it were, Ha! Ha! Mistakes happen and I'm sure the Chicago governor wished he never called you by the wrong name. Just like Chris Matthews the man you danced with and his hands hit you where no one on live TV should ever do......but that was funny and he'll never live that down. Mostly because you won't let him ever forget it! But it was kind of funny. Also the error you made about washing your privates! Silly you, but that was also very funny...sorry! I'd love to be a part of any of your shows. You make me laugh every day. As soon as I turn on the TV and see you I get a smile on my face. You are the best and keep up the great job you're doing.

Hi, Ellen. You are my inspiration everyday I'm alive. You have brightened sooooo many of my days. Like many of your fans, I too am one of the less fortunate, but I am fortunate enough to get your show on my rabbit ears. If that's telling you how unfortunate. I have internet for the kids mainly for their school work. I can't work due to medical issues, and can't get help from the local social services. They say my husband makes too much money on his $13.00 an hr. I can't afford med. insurance to see the doctor, in order to file for disability. My husband works very hard to provide for our family of 4. I'm not even sure where our next meal is coming from right now. We are unable to do anything for mothers day, our anniversary, or possibly fathers day. Tell me how to enter your give aways. I would like to try to do something for my husband, because he is my reason for being. You are one of the most passionate people in the entire world. GOD BLESS, I love you Ellen. Hello Helen, (Joke) remember Chicago? LOL LOL

I didn't read anybody else's comments to see what they said about the 12 day's of give away. What I would like you to know that one year ago, almost to the day (Mothers Day) my mother had a stroke and died at 59 years old. In just 4 months later I seperated from my sons father and my son and I moved into a home that burned down in a short three days. One month later I feel and fractured my pelvic bone. A friend offered my son and I a place to live (needs fixing up) but it is livable. Shortly after Christmas (February 16th) my 11 year old son fell and broke both bones in his forearm! Snapped into the shape of an L, had surgery and he has to have surgery again in August to remove the rods! On top of all that my sons father has been out of work and ubable to pay child support and the truck we have been driving was almost reposessed. We begged, borrowed and well, you know the rest. Now the truck it up to date but we have no idea how we are going to keep the paying for the vehicle. It's all my son and I have to get back and forth to school, work and all the doctors appointments. My son is also in counceling that we drive to once a week. I didn't mention needing braces so I need this vehicle for many mnay reasons. P.S. With mothers day coming up, I just wanted to say, I love and miss you mom... No wasn't for you Ellen, that was for my mom.
Ellen, If I we're to win one of your wonderful gifts, my wish would be for someone that is less fortunate then us to have that gift and I would just wish for me to be able to pay off my sons, dad's truck which he allows me to drive! Thank you and thank you for making me laugh every morning.

Tammy

Thank You for your show, you bring a lot of laughter to me and my husband who lives in a nursing home at the present time. I would love to win any prize but transportation is much needed since my car is running on a wing and a prayer.
When your show comes on it makes me happy and I have seen a smile on my husbands face when you dance---He is in a wheel chair and he also cannot speak, due to the fact that he has a trach, but when we watch your show he smiles and life is good again, so thanks for all the smiles you have given us

Hi Ellen I would love to win something from your show not matter how big or small. I have never won
anything ever. Me and my husband have watched your show for years. Until just recently, he passed. I am having a hard time but I know that by watching your show I will have a lot of laughs
and a lot of love from you. You are so cool. The part of the show I like the best is when you dance
as I am a dancaholic. You make my day everyday. My
daughter tries to come and get me often to get me out of the house but I tell her there is one hour of the day that I won't leave because I have to watch Ellen. Due to husbands illness and expenses
we lost our car and I feel trapped but I cant change that but I have family to help me out. Keep
on doing what you are doing for everybody because
we all benefit from your laughs and love.
Sincerely, Teresa Bollens

end entry

Hi Ellen, I really love your show. You are so cool. The part I love the best is the dancing as I
am a dancaholic. I don't know what I would do whithout your show. Me and my husband watches it every day faithfully together but I just recently lost him and I have having a real tough time right now.I would love to win something from your
show to share with my husband as he is here with me in his urn. He is still laughing at you. We
really love you and you really make my day with your funny antics and your laughs. Keep up all the
good things that you do. Now that I am alone, my daughter will call me at times and come and get me to get me out of the house but I will tell her
there is a certain hour of the day that I can't be
bothered because I have to be home to watch Ellen.
Due to my husband's illness we lost our car 2 years ago so I have to depend on my daughter to get around. Now maybe you can see why your show means so much to me. I get so much laughter and love from your show. Keep on doing what you are doing. Sincerely, Teresa Bollens

Ellen! Hi! Myself and my 17 month old daughter loves you and your show! She loves dancing with you.. it's definetly the cutest thing ever! I have 2 daughters; a 17month old and a 6 month old. I am 20 years old and I am married to my hubby who just turned 21. We are struggling to make ends meet but we make do. We don't have a lot and no matter what, our girls come first so needless to say, they are very spoiled...at least as much as they can be with my husbands income! I'm not sending this to ask for anything.. I just wanted to let you know you are AWESOME!! You have a heart of gold and my favorite show by far was when you honored the 70 year old first grader...he looked soo happy and that made me smile greatly. It was sooooo sweet and nice of you to do what you did for him. Keep up the good work and the humor! I love you Ellen!!!!!

Hi Ellen!

I am a single mother of two great kids. My son has quiet a few disabilities and one of them not very many people know about. It is called Sensory Intergration Disfunction and is very draining on the other people in his' life. I don't know if you would ever want to do a show on it? I don't think anyone has before and then maybe it will help other's that have children with it and help to get more people aware of this disorder. He is very high functioning, but has many things that I feel are simular to Autisum. All three of us have disabilities of some kind or another, but we try to look on the brighter side of things. Do you think that you could help us, please? I love to watch your show cause it always makes me smile and helps to brighten my day. Sometimes I only get to catch the tail end of it, but some Ellen is better than no Ellen! I use to watch you when you did stand up and then when you had your show where you owned a bookstore. I've always thought that you are so funny and anytime you are on I like to watch. I know other people say that they are your number 1 fan, but I'm just going to say that I'm a BIG fan of yours! I have a little pug and her name is Roxy. She is so sweet and hates to be left alone. I live in Courtenay, BC Canada and would love to come see your show with my two children, but can our dog come too? I know that you'd love her and she is such a happy little girl. I don't know if you send tickets to people in Canada, but we would love to come if you do. We don't have much money so I hope that maybe you could help with a way to get to you as well? I do own a car that I was just able to get, with some money that the government owed me. It's not much, but I could drive down in it, but if you could help with somewhere to stay I could cover the cost to get there and back. I don't care what show I get to see, I just think it would be fun to be at any of them! You are the BEST! I hope that we get to see you soon. I have written before a few times, but haven't won anything yet. Keep up the good work, you make the World a better, happier place!

Love Shawna, Jessica, Darian and Roxy!

Hi Ellen, Thanks for allowing me the chance to enter your great giveaway. I LOVE your show and would love to use one of these giveaways as a grand prize for our annual Maddie's walk for Autism. Hello Ellen! My name is Linda, I live in Houston TX, and I would LOVE to be at your show someday. I would probably faint if I ever got to meet you in person because I have never seen ANYONE famous up close....but it would be SO worth it! I love you and your show I just hope it doesn't get me fired one day! See I'm a dental assistant and we have a plasma in each room that we allow patients to watch as they wait patiently for the Dr. right? Well instead of asking what THEY would like to watch, I just put your show on! 12 p.m. I'm there...well...WE'RE there:)
I really don't care if I go on the 12 days of giveaways because from the bottom of my heart, I don't want anything from you. You do so much just by making us all laugh, and in a world that can sometimes be hard to deal with, you need an ELLEN. I would go anytime in the year! Hope to see you someday and I just want you to know I love YOU and your show(one more time). God bless you always.

Hi Ellen! (like you read these messages)
NO No! Don't believe any of them "I" am your number 1 fan, wow everybody is your number 1 fan. Oh Ellen please can I have tickets to your show, oh I would love to meet you it would be a dream come true. Oh please please I only have one eye, which gives me neck pain because I have to turn all the way around if i want to see something on my far left and I have also had my arm chopped when my friend was showing me her "Edward Scissor hands "impersonation. I got a new plastic replacement arm, but it melted in the house fire, which is how I broke my leg, running out of the house. Oh poor thing do you feel sorry for me, can you send me tickets and pay for my airfare to the States (I live in Melb, Australia)oh first class of course, did I tell you I have a broken leg and cant bend it? So I will need extra room in the plane. So Hopefully now you will feel sorry me and fly me over give me tickets to your show, etc etc. Sorry I know I sound like a nut but I can't believe the things people write just to get free tickets.People are weird, sly and selfish! for the record she IS beautiful and very very funny.

I live in Ohio and have never been farther than Indiana so I understand. I would love to go to Chicago if there are any tickets left. I feel such a great connection with you-your first show was on my bday,Sept 8. I am just a tad bit older (51) love to dance and try to start each day of my life trying to make people's life a little happier. I work in surgery as an RN and I know how stressful life is so a smile and an encouraging word go a long way. I will always watch your show because you are the bright spot in my life. Dear Ellen,

I know that there are so many people wanting to win the Hybrid but I hope you will consider my wife. She was burned in a housefire making her unable to use her left hand. She is a wonderful mom. We are the modren day Brady Bunch with 7 kids between us, ages 9-24. She can't drive our car anymore because it's a stick shift and needs an automatic according to her doctors. Our kids have alot of activites they need to get to and my wife is always barrowing a neighbors automatic car or I have to leave work to go get them. She never makes them do without. She's a great mom and very deserving.

Dear Ellen,
I thought that maybe if I posted on here it might be a little bit easier for you to see why I and my son really need a car. I entered the car give away and also the truck. I know that there are many people out there that need one.
Maybe they need it more than me. I am just in a hard time in my life and I really truly do need a car/truck. I am 28yrs. old and a mother of one. He (jesse) is 3 years old. I have NEVER owned my own car before and to this day I still do not. My boyfriend has a run down car we use but its about ready for the junk yard and it honestly scares me to have my son in it. I don't have a lot of money. I help my folks also due to there health conditions. My mom had a massive stroke when she was 37 and a few yrs. ago my dad had kidney failure and now he broke his hip. My dad is only 48yrs. old. I like to help them out as much as I can. I am not asking or expect for anybody to feel sorry for me. I just want people to get a feel of what my life is like without going into full detail. I know that you or your team may not pick my name and I know my chances of winning are pretty slim. I can only hope, pray, and wish that you may read this little letter and help my son and I out. If so, you and your team will never understand how greatfull Jesse and I will be, we will always be. We love your show and watch you every day. Always,. Deb
Thank you

Hi Ellen I'm trying to enter into your 12 days of giveaways but I cannot tell if this is the right thing. Of course either way I would love to get tickets to your show or whatnot! I don't want to win a car even though I technically just totalled my car because I love it anyway. My car is named Pierre and I treat it like a person, I'm so attached! But I'm even more attached to your show, I love it, I enjoy it so much, and I love you!

Hi Ellen, First and foremost I want to commend you on your show. I love it and watch it daily. I see on your website that you are giving away a Yukon Hybrid. When I saw this, I thought wow, how nice would that be to have a new, and most importantly reliable vehicle. The reason why I decided to enter in this is because my 15 yr old daughter Jenna has stage IV Rhabodomyosarcoma and resides in Canada. Her treatments are there and her protocol is 54 weeks of aggressive chemo/radiation. Winning this vehicle would be a dream come true and certainly an answer to some of the stress we have been enduring. It would help out so much having a reliable vehicle to get me to her more often!! I am not one to ask people for anything and truly find it hard asking for drives from Rochester to Canada.
Please, Ellen, it would mean the world to my daughter having her mom more often in Canada by her side.
God bless you,
Darlene

Dear Ellen,
i do not want to win the car, even though it would be great, but i love the one i have and just bought my daughter one for her birthday (in which i wrote to you the reason why). All i really want is to have tickets to your show in chicago, as we live about 3 hours from there and that is all i can afford at this time. Anyway, the real reason i wrote is to let you know that my daughter and i just love your show. with me working three jobs, my daughter going to school, playing lacrosse and working also, we cant really watch the show everyday, but i do have it taped and today i just watched two weeks worth. OMG... how funny you are and all your guests are great. have a great day and i hope we can get some tickets to come and see you.

I've been watching you sinse day one.

Dear Ellen,
I just wanted to tell you what a great show you have. I am a stay at home mother of 2 girls ,Nya 2 and Reya 1, and if it wasn't for you and Striker I don't know how I would get dinner made during the week. You help calm my children down, well occupy them. THEY LOVE TO DANCE!!! Flo Rida is Nya's fav.
I am also writing to nominate our family for the Hybrid Yukon. As I said before I am a stay at home mother, without a car. My husband needs the car to get to and from work everyday. He leaves very early in the morning and gets home later than most husbands everyday. I would be so grateful to have means to be able to come and go when needed. My family helps when they can but aren't very dependable. Keep us in mind, I know you have many others hoping for the same opportunity. Again thanks for just having a great show. We will continue to watch everyday.

Hello, dearest Ellen!

My husband and I love your show. Unfortunately (for him), I'm the only one that gets to see it since he's working when you air. I know this is for a Yukon, but I'd also like to hint at maybe getting tickets to your show. I don't want to go into a pity party to tell you how much we need laughter and a car, but if it makes us win one, here it goes!

My husband and I met four years ago online. He's from the Netherlands and moved over to the US. We have been married for two years. When we came home from our honeymoon, my husband started getting sick. We went to the hospital and found out after many tests that he has cirrhosis of the liver. We had just spent all of our money on our wedding and honeymoon, so we were obviously not prepared for hospital bills. He was in the hospital for about a week. He is on the transplant list for getting a liver. The doctors have thrown the word "cancer" around as well. They think he has liver cancer, but then they called to say they think it's not...then maybe it is. It has been quite stressful!

While we've been taking care of my husband, I have been neglecting my own health. I've had a pseudo tumor cerebri. It's where your body reacts as though there is a tumor in the brain, though there isn't (it likes to fake us out). I had it flare up three times. A few weeks ago I started having symptoms again. My neurologist told me to get a spinal tap (the sixth one of my life--but who's counting). They found out I didn't have a flare up of the pseudo tumor, but viral meningitis.

I have the gift of encouragement, and it's been hard to be encouraging when sick. I've been sick for over 2 weeks now and it's not going away. I just want to get better so I can continue to try to be an encourager to others as well as to my husband. Please help! We love laughter, and I know my husband would love to see you. Thanks for all the laughs.

Sincerely,
Amy

Hi Ellen,
I just got through reading some of your e mails.
I hope you don't read them before a show.
Your show is so happy & funny & uplifting.
Some of your e mails just make me want to cry.
It just goes to show what my mama use to tell me,
No matter how bad your situation is, there is always someone in a worse situation.

I love your show, Steve & his experiments,
Sandra Bullock eating hot peppers, your audience
games are GREAT !! But best of all, I really
enjoy GLADYS. She sounds like my MOM.
MOM passed away 4 years ago at the age of 80.
She was known for her naughty practical jokes.
Her most famous one was a gift to my brother-in-
law. It was a pair of pantyhose for MEN !!!!!!
Think about it....It had 3 "legs" !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Relatives got her back on her 67th birthday.
They hired a male stripper just for her entertainment. We gave her $1 bills, she didn't know what to do with them, I finally told her,
she stuffs all of them in the front at once,
smacks his butt, & tells him to GIT.
We have it on video !!!
I hope that story lifted someone's spirits !!

Keep on, keeping on !!

ellen,

I was informed that you are going to give away a Yukon Hybrid. And I believe I have the perfect person you can give it to. I have a sister who I live with who is just 19 years old. Her name is Erin, and she was just involved in a terrible car accident about 3 weeks ago. She was driving home from work when a car had came into her lane, she swerved to miss a head on collision thinking she was just going to ride the side grass, her car hit a hole and started to flip. She drove a '02 trailblazer, which is what probably saved her life! Her car came to a stop upside down and the car which ran her off the road, never stopped to see if she was ok. She tried to kick out her windshield, and was unsuccesfull. Her phone was no were to be found. After about ten minutes of her being in her car, someone drove by and called 911. She was rushed to our local hospital(Wake Med). She suffered a broken jaw in four places and a collar bone which was broken in two places, and several bruised ribs. Her jaw had to get wired shut.

Ellen, my sister was working so hard, and for the first time in a while i think my sister was really truely happy(before the accident). She was going to school for phlebotomy and was working really hard to be succesfull. She got her life together. We have our own place, just me and her.

She doesnt have any medical insurance, but thankfully she did have car insurance. But, there was bad news, her car was valued as much as she owed, therfore she only recieved $200 from the insurance company.

Ellen, i really believe she deserves this car. The reasons why is she has worked so hard for the things she has, and how far she has gotten with school and work, but now her car which meant so much to her and all the hard work she has done so she could have her car payments is gone and right now us living on our own and her not being able to work for 8 weeks it is extremely hard for her to get a car. In all reality were not sure how she is going to get another car. Ellen i honestly can tell you that this would mean the world to her. It would also mean the world to me and my family. Ellen, My sister believes that everything happens for a reason and she believes the reason for her accident was for her to really see that she has gardian angels watching over her and that god is watching over her. Ellen my sister could of died, but God believed it wasnt her time, I just pray you personally get to read this email and I hope that you choose to give the car to my sister. It would mean so much more than you could ever imagine!

Thankyou for taking the time to listen, we respect your decision, regardless of what it
might be.

Sincerley, Katie Healey
(I know I posted this twice, but I'm not shure were to post it)

Hi Ellen,

I love your show so much. I feel like it is the only adult time I have during the day. (I have three small children) I am watching your show as I type and I saw the beautiful Hybrid-Yukon I am not sure if this is how you are supposed to enter to win the car, but its worth a shot. I am currently driving a Ford Escape (not hybrid :( ) which unfortunately as of this month, has not been working out so well for me. I am recently a mother of now THREE beautiful baby girls. All under three years old!! Three car seats in the back of a small SUV.... not working out so well!! A triple stroller in the back.... no room for anything else!! I have looked into large SUV's but gas is ourageous. And with a husband in school full time and a 4 week old baby.... well our finances have seen better days! A hybrid would be a perfect soloution!!

Thanks for your time!! And Ellen, keep doing what you do!!!!

Hey Ellen!
I would like to enter my mom to win the Hybrid Yukon. She does so much for me and my family, and I wish I could pay her back some how! She is an amazing woman that works way too hard at her job, and all she would like is to spend more time with her kids and especially her 4 grandkids. She had to sell her car months ago because she couldn't afford to fix it, and since then she has been driving work vehicles (which by the way are dirty and disgusting because she works for a soil testing company). I know she wants a vehicle that would fit her grandkids cause her absolute favorite thing to do in the world is play with them! Please consider us for the give-a-way! It would mean the whole world to me to help her out in some way, since she is constantly giving to others. Thanks Ellen!

Hi Ellen,

i just finished scouring your whole web site to enter the contest for the hybrid yukon, and did not find a way to do do. do you just send an email detailing why you should be the one chosen or what? it has been a dream of mine to own a hybrid vehicle ever since i sold cars for a living and found out about all the advantages that hybrids have. with gas prices steadily rising it really only makes sense to invest in a hybrid vehicle, which is not only good for the environment, but your pocket/pocket book also. i am so surprised that people who buys the Ford Escape, does not buy the hybrid version. i'm personally not able to purchase one at this time, but when good fortune smiles down on me again, i will be getting a hybrid vehicle.
keep up the good work, and i hope to see you on one of your twelve days of giveaway shows. you are sooooooooooooo popular that getting tickets is almost impossible, but i am going to keep trying.

Hi Ellen,
Your show is one of the few I actually get to watch.
I have a two and a four yr. old. So in between Barney and Noggin, your show is one of the few I can actually watch. I love it because you are so real and you always make me laugh. Of course Barney always makes me smile, but you get the picture.
So anyway I do have an alterior motive to my letter.
In addition to being a mom, I am also a military wife. My husband is not deployed currently, but we are being re-stationed in Quantico. My husband is going to be a 46 crew chief for the president. We're hoping for Clinton:) Long story short, if our house doesn't sell, we are going to be separated again. Is there anything you can do to help us in our situation. I hope to hear from you.

Thank you,

Hey Ellen,
Let me start off by saying you are AMAZING and I LOVE you, in fact I love your show so much I find myself ditching class to stay home and watch you!! I would even find time to ditch class to come to a live taping. My mom has always talked of how she would love to attend one of yours and Oprah's shows, But deep down I know she would choose you anyday over Oprah!! AS I would too!! It is good for the soul to Laugh everyday and It's you that helps us accomplish that, and to enjoy that laughter at a taping with my mom would be remarakable. Thank you Ellen. Love Erin

Ellen,
I just wanted to let you know, I really enjoy watching your show. I work 12 hour shifts and now get more days a week off. If I'm not able to, I record it. My favorite part, of course is the beginning. But I really enjoy watching you give things away to people. I think that must be the most enjoyable part of your job. I always dream of maybe one day winning the lottery and being able to give deserving people something they need. I didn't know you were going to be in Orlando. I wish I could have gone to see you. Oh, well, maybe next year. We never get the chance to go anywhere, so that may be the closest I could get. By the way, I LOVE animals too. I have a neat video about a lion I would love to send to you or forward to you, but I am not sure how. I will try to figure it out. I am NOT high tech at all. Enough rambling. Please keep up the good work and I look forward to, someday, seeing you in person.

I would love to have tickets to your 12 days of giveaways for my husband. He is one of your biggest fans. We stop whatever we are doing grab a cold beer and watch Ellen. No matter where we are. we usually winter in the south. This year I had to have four major surgires, achellies tendon repair, two weeks later on crutches, kidney stones blasted, had a ct scan to check the stone and they found a lump on my left breast and a spot on my right lung, first of the year had a mastectomy, then went in to have a mediport put in for chemo and had a biopsey on my lung, thank God it was not cancer. So what I am saying is this man waited on me and still is hand and foot. I still have 11 weeks of chemo and then five weeks of radiation. So we are in hopes that by this winter we will get a clean bill of health and be able to leave the snow and cold behind us. We are just a five or six hour drive from L.A. and I think I could get him to one of your showes that time period. It would be a great Thanks big guy for all you do for me. Any tickets would be goood as long as they are in the winter.

Hi,
I watch this show whenever I can. I work during the day taking care of an elderly. I also work full time (and more) during the weekend.
I am a single mother and a graduate student attending night school. I have not been in school for a year now. I have been going to school full time but early last year i was suspended due to poor grades.
I am usually a good student (A's and B's). Working two jobs and worrying about finances has put a toll on my entire life.
I would like to finish school, get a good job and take care of my family...

PLease help.. Thankyou for reading my mail.

Dear Ellen,
I have looked forward to watching your show everyday, but then I was offered a job which hours prohibited me from enjoying your show. Your gift of laughter to us all, is wonderful.
During the month of February, my boyfriend would respond to any comment with, WUT the February.
This went on for most of February and on into half of March. I had to remind him that February had already pasted. I think he is really going to miss that phrase. This is a man that doesn't like to watch much T.V. I thought it was rather cute. Just wanted you to know the many different ways you reach people without them knowing it.
I look forward to watching your show when possible.
Sincerely, Lori Chappell

Ellen,
I do not get to watch your show most of the time because of working. I am a child abuse investigator and we stay really busy. In the last few months I have been around daytime TV more and more because of being home due to health issues bad knee, I just had a total knee replacement on March 10, and recovery is not going as quickly as expected. I am frustrated, angry, upset etc because i do not have my independance, can;t walk and cannot dance! I have been watching the show every day if not sleeping (running low grade temp makimg me sleepy). When you are dancing I try to do my exercises with the leg to pretend that I am able go move the leg. Originally they said 6-8 weeks, but now I know It will be longer because of the fever and ill feelings. The laughter and entertainment helps with the mental health issues due to the surgery. I need a lot of motivation and uplifting right now. I live alone and had to have a friend move in with me to prevent other social services interventions since I cannot do alot for myself right now. I cant even get the dog out. I want to repay my friend for her help but do not know what to do for her. She is not a girly girl, no jewelry, no makeup, not a clothes horse, no makeovers etc.
Do you have any ideas of what I could do for her to show my appreciation? Like most people I do not have a lot of money but want to show my appreciation for being there for the surgery, taking care of the dog, and getting me go all my appointments since I am not able to drive. I know it would be hard to be around someone in pain all the time and a hopeless outlook for full recovery, but my friend trys to keep a positive outlook, along with other friends. Usually the friends are relying on me for support, answers, and direction. This role reversal is odd and difficult for me. I want to focus on what I can do for my friends to repay them for their caring and help.

Any suggesstions you might have would be greatly appreciated. Sorry I was so long winded in my request of help from you.

Keep the jokes coming and the uplifting attitude because if I am smiling and focuses on the humor the pain is less (or not noticed as much). Keep dancing Ellen and treasure the use of your legs. Thanks for the smiles. :-)

ELLEN,
your show is the best i never miss it for the world. I have tried several times to get tickets for my mom and I. Your such a caring person and im sure if i met you in person i could talk to you, because at times i keep things inside. I lost my most favorite person in the world my grandfather i write alot in my book about him. He was such a great grandpa. He passed away april 26 o6. there isnt a day i dont think about him. My grandmother has been so sick since january 13,06.
My parents and I have spent every christmas and newyears in intensive care with her. we have been struggling to pay for her medication at times when she gets better to come home to live with us.
In the year 2006 my dad and mom got into a big yelling fight and my mom and I left. We had no where to go. we went to a hotel. My mom is on total disability and she doesnt receive much money at all. 766.00 per month. she is the best mom you could ever ask for. So when we left my dad she had called her brother and they took us in . my mom couldnt really afford to pay money and they wanted 50.00 a week from us plus 50.00 a week for food. my mom was spending alot more than that because they never bought any food. see the money was suppose to go in an envelope which we put our money in and they didnt put theres. Then at the same time before my grandfather passed he came to live at her brothers too. They charged my grandpa 100.00 a week and my mom was doing all the shopping and cleaning and laundry and taking care of my grandpa. Also we were driving back and forth to RhodeIsland Hospital to see my nana.
Ellen it was so hard especially with no money coming in. My grandpa was passing and i knew this and he wanted to be with HOSPICE. At the end he wasnt eating and i used to give him the morphine because in RI you go to the hospital and they teach you how to give it. That evening of the 26 of april of 06 i watched him pass. My dream is to be a nurse and have my mom not to have to struggle again. I really hope you read this Ellen because your such a loving person and care so much about the world and everyone in it. I watch your show to put a smile on my face. Im a happy girl. I just needed to share how i felt .
thanks much love jaimie

Dear Ellen and STaff,
Do u ACtually read all this?
I am truely amaxed at all the unfortunate and ill people out there.
How possibly do u help them all?
Its like a needle in the haystack when you do find one ligite to help, there r so many others.
I do see we r getting programs out there to help,as american Idol gives back.
But I know and see there r so many more, not being recognised,as they donot take xtras, such as foodstamps, register at foodbanks or for xmas presents. TOO proud,or they fell there are so many others unfortunate, maybe more so than them,so not to take advantage of what they can necessarily live without.
I live in a small apt. with 2 bedrooms. 2 children and myself.
We all have disabilities, from severe disabling migraines,to rhu.matoid arth. chronic fatique, fibro. depression,
I am divorced and on a limited buget.
My x husband stole everything from me,my money/ savings, lost my house and vehicle.
I am slowly getting back on my feeet. I ask nothing from nobody. I am getting disability, but will ask for nothing more. Not food stamps etc.. I try to make with what I can. Yes it can get depressing, but I feel there are others who may need it more and I may be keeping it from them.
I have no cable t.v. We use the old attennas and are able to get 4 channels. Yes, I have internet, soas to homeschool my child. She is unable to attend a public school due to the frequency of her migraines and the severity.
You can only help so many and so many need help in so many diff. ways.
All I would like is some teeth! A dentist that will fix my teeth without ripping them all out. WI.. medical practices nowdays. My 231 yr. old daughter is getting married in aug. I would for once love some pearly whites. I always had discolored ones since a child due to med.s back then staining the teeth forever. I was teased all the time growing up and still feel ugly due to that! The other day a cap fell off a front tooth and i probably swallowed it and there is nothing wi. ins. can or will do about it! I will not go out anymore. I now feel even more sadness for the toothless! My daughters getting married and I cannot even smile about it and will not be taking/in the pictures as I feel ugly!
Please if anyone out there feels anything about my situation or others, please help them get teeth. It is far above importance of a tv,car, etc, It is selfesteem issue, health, depression, job, matter of happiness. Please give me a smile! and others like me. It will/does make a difference.
They have smile of a child, we need Smile of a child and an ADULT!There are so many ,many places to send money for cures, causes, for humans to animals,to care for health etc..We need someone, to est. a company to raise money for the people or children who need DENTAl coverage, for dental needs. Such as TEETH or braces that otherwise one cannot afford.
Please Ellen and STaff, think about this one cause many people just put away at the side. Not to say cancer and that is not important,etc.. but so is to be able to SMILE! Alot of people r judged by their smile.
I have heard many things from I bet you have a beautiful smile to smile it can't be that bad.
This has gone on since I was 7 and am now in my 50's. Depressing, suicidal, you are judged from being a friend to a job, alot is judged on your smile where your life leads you! Honestly.
So, if you think of a Charity, there is a much needed one and that is a Smile Denistry Charity.Thankyou and please,I donot ask for anything but after 45 years I would luve to be able to smile with white matching teeth. Teeth would be good! Thanks from me and many more that needs this charity!

Dear Ellen,

I know I write you a lot, but I have tried to get on your giveaway shows every time, as so many people have. I'm sending this with a prayer that I will be blessed in 2008 to be selected to attend your show during the giveaway. I have recenly come out of an extremely trying 10 year depression and you are a big part of my healing. I was left without a home, unable to work again and abandoned by my family because they could not handle even one more death. Even after I recovered, the depression remained. I want so much a chance at a life again. I am blessed that my exhusband is letting me stay in a cinder block building next to his home, but I want a place to live without being a burden to him. I don't know what the future holds, but I am planting a seed and hoping a harvest will come in. If not, I am still a blessed person to have come back to life, even if I lost my material things, My heart and mind have been changed in the process and that's what it's all about. Please consider me when you decide who will attend the twelve days of giveaway. I love you because you love.

Love,
Cathi Robertson

Hey Ellen,
I've read just about all of these comments and wow are some of them so sad. I'm sure if you were able you would help each and everyone of these people. My only request to you is an all expense paid trip to see you with my six year old son!. He absoulutely LOVES you!. He will dance all over my living room when your show is on and even tries to dance over my Coffee Table which is so hilarious to watch. He has been watching you for about 3 years now and actually gets very upset if we are not home from school on time to see your show. He gets really upset when he misses the opening / dancing you do every day. Well on numerous occasions he has blurted out to me or his dad ( Man o Man I want to go and dance with Ellen)! This kid is dead serious about this Ellen and I believe to surprise him with this would be better than a Disney Land Vacation for him. He adores you! Look forward to hearing from you soon! Hi Ellen. Since I was a kid I have always had this dream of owning a swimming pool. I love the water but even though my husband and I both work we can never seem to put back enough extra money for a swimming pool. We are too busy paying for the necessities of life. I an 53 and time is running short for this old gangie (name my oldest grand daughter gave me)..I have three grand daughters, Morgan Faith is 5 years, Ava Jayne is 2 years, and Vivian Kate is 10 months. Morgan Faith, the eldest, was diognosed with Juvenile Rheumetoid Arthritis when she was only one year old. She has to take a shot once a week but it is controlled, thank God, and that is what matters. Her Doctor says swimming is the best exercise for children with JRA. If I had a pool, we could really enjoy some fun times together in gangie's swimming pool as well as provide Morgan Faith with some good exercise that would not hurt her joints. So, if you could give this old girl the dream she has had all her life, a new swimming pool, this gangie and her 3 little angels would be the happiest girls in the world. Thank you for anything you can do for us...we love you, Linda, Morgan, Ava, and Vivian...

Hi Ellen!
Please let me be on your 12 days of Christmas Show. I cant walk very well but would consider crawling to see you in person. Would love to meet you, your Mom,Gladys, and Pink. I haven't seen Pink on your show for a long time. I am a charter member of the "Pink Mafia" and have never seen her live. I love that girls voice. I know that 65 year young women aren't suppose to be groupies. I am from the flower child generation and we all seem to be stuck in a time warp. Hugs, Mary Heeckt

Ellen, Love the show, it is great. I was going to say there should be more shows like yours but that would not be good for you, would it. LOL Most of the people I speak to about your show really enjoy it. After reading a lot of the comments made on these forms, I couldn't beleive how many shameless people there are in our world. Some of these people will say anything to try and get a prize. Why, I would be embarressed to write some of the letters or comments that were sent in. Do some people have no shame? Anyway, keep up the good work. Oh! I am also happy to hear you express your concern and love for animals. You should be proud of yourself for the things you do and the values you have. I have tried to register for some of the contests you have like the ipod give away and things like that. For some reason there is not a proper space to register a Canadian address. Are we not elegible for these contests? Are they just for the American viewers. Could you please have someone let me know. I realise even in some magazine contests it is just for the USA. I would appreciate some kind of answer for this. I thank you in advance...Keep up the great work. Paul Morning

How do you register to win the GMC Arcadia that you mentioned on the show? I desperately need it. I have been ill with Fibromyalia and Crohn's Disease since December of 2004. I was finally approve for SSD. It is not a lot of money each month. I am struggling to try and keep my car. It is really hard because of all of my medical expenses. Winning a car like that would take a great load off of my shoulders and mind. So if I have missed my oppounity, I hope that I hve another chance soon.

One more thing. Please tell Ellen how much I love her show. No matter how much pain I am dealing with, she never fails to make me laugh several times. She is one of the realest, down-to-earth people. I hope the show stays on for many more years. I need her.

Dear Ellen,

I have stubbed my toe...again!

How will I go on? I just don't know.

I may need surgery.
I think I broke it.

I'll find out when the doctor looks at it.

I would feel so much better if I could get to Burbank and see you at the twelve day's of Christmas give away.

I hope I can ...we are trying to remodel this house...it's been almost 8 years!

Life is sometimes a bummer when you are the one stuck in the middle of the road. Not enough money to take a trip or anything. Just enough to keep your head abouve water. You don't get food stamps, medical coupons, reduced lunch. You are overlooked because you don't have a heart warming story to up the ratings. You are invisible.

Ok, got to go the ambulance is here...ouch! One of them just stepped on my toe!

Love your show Ellen, but can't get an anwer as to where my Zooey tshirt or Citizen of Humanity jeans are that I won on your 12 Days of Christmas. I've been waiting for 3 months now. Where are they? Thanks

Hi Ellen,

My wife and I love your show. We watch you as our schedule permits due to our hectic schedules allow us to. It just so happened that we were home monday to see a portion of it and watch you give that beautiful vehicle to that woman in the audience. You are real special in all the things you do out ordinary to brighten ones or more lives.

My wife and I have never asked much from anything in this life, but we just like alot of others out here do alot to get by or just make it paycheck to paycheck. Shortly after I started dating my wife I got custody of my 8 year old daughter (now 20) which just brought us closer together and allowed us to become one, and within a couple of years we started a life together. Now we have 2 more beautiful daughters , a house (and trying to get a new one) and just trying to make thaings better for them from what we had growing up.. Times get hard and, our costs of living keep going up and I only come to wonder if there will ever be a leveling out in this life to make things better.. There are alot of deserving people out there wishing for the other GMC SUV and I feel maybe we are not worthy of it but hey, somebody is. Maybe not us, but I want to thank you for doing the magic you do and helping those you do.

Paul

Hey Ellen!

I just got done watching the show with Christina! Well, I just wanted to leave a quick little quilt trick i guess you would call it.
I'm 17 years old and I live in a little town call Middle Point, in Ohio. I live with my mother who currently works at Wal-Mart. Anymore funds are very low!! We can barely keep food in our house on a week to week basis. I think if we got picked to get a GMC Acadia! My mom sees them cars and instantly thinks about your show! My mom has a 1999 Van and since it's now payed off, we have to deal with that fact that its starting to fall apart already. Its rusting up, and a lot of things are going wrong with it already, and of course we can't afford to get them repaired. Me I'm unemployed and car less as well. Trust me, if I had the chance I would work in a heart beat to help with finances with our home. Well Ellen, plz consider us to win something anything for that matter! Thank you for reading this little email/letter thing..

You bring me and the rest of the world so much joy and laughter, just wdhat the Dr. ordered, i have been dealing with HIV for the past 10years or so and there really has not been a hole lot of joy in my life, so for me to get up and see your friendly funloving face ever day has been a plesure and i have to say thank you for those few moments that i get to forget about my issues. The one show that i dwould love to be apart of is your xmas give away. The reasons are many. mostly so that if i were ever to be apart of that show i would give the gift/(some) of them at leasst to a charitable society so that maybe those gifts could brieghten upthere other wise glommy holiday, i have had so many of those and know wnat just a card can do to those that otherwise get none.

Hi Ellen,
I love your show; you can't imagine the effect it has on people. I bet it has improved a lot of lives; it’s educative, informative and relaxing too. I wish a research can be carried out to attest to this...lives have been improved for real. I know this because as a consultant in public health I know the impact of psychological therapy on lives. I left my job and started a Sickle Cell Anemia charity organization after loosing my little niece due to mismanagement of this disease. Knowing her death could have been prevented if certain precautions were taken, I decided to educate other affected people on how best to manage it as to avoid further deaths due to mismanagement. I visit clinics, schools and even the media to disseminate this information. Sickle cell Anemia though hereditary and terminal, with proper management and good chemotherapy, affected people can still live long and fulfilled life. But my handicap has been mobility as I have no car and can’t afford one plus my bills because I have no other job except this voluntary work. A lot of lives will be improved with winning this car as it will enable me carry out this charity work with less stress.
Thanks,
Nne

Hello Ellen,

Great Show!!!!! The Best!!!!!!
After four years of going through the courts to fight for my son who is now 10. Ethan. I have been driving a old 91 cavalier which is falling apart. I need to win a new vehicle. Every cent has gone for attorney fees since 2003. Have recently gone back to college to get a degree so I can give my child a good life. It would be nice to have something new.

Hi Ellen-
Me and my coworkers love to watch your show every day at our lunch break!! We love the you are making the world a better place one dance at a time! Anyways, today we were watching your and I especially need to be cheered up- you see, I work the Friday evening shift at my salon, so as usual I was at work Friday evening and as I was getting off of work at around 9:00 p.m. my car was stolen from my work parking lot! Needless to say I freaked! I have never in my life been in a situation like this before. Devestated I contacted the local police for help. However, my car has still not been located (nor have any hints). I just graduated from school last November, so my career is just kicking off. Unfortunatly, my career, as a hairdresser, takes time to grow in the field. My car was not a very nice car, but none the less, it was a car. But this story gets better- I only had liability insurance on my car because I had already paid it off and at this moment in my life I am really trying to cut costs. So what all this means is that my insurance will not cover theft on my vehicle. Which means that I am stuck with absolutly nothing. I am so lost as what to do and devestated because I know that i can absolutly not afford another note right now! This just all comes at really bad timing because my daughter also turns 3 on March 30, and I just don't know what we are going to do about our situation. So, as I was watching your show today at lunch (because needless to say I needed something to smile about) you said that you were giving away a free car and to email you why you deserve this car. So here I am hoping that mayble this will be a turn around and end this series of unfortunate events that seem to be all at once. Besides I figure it is absolutly worth a try because you are one the most giving and kind hearted people around, so if anyone can help then Ellen can! I seriously hope you will consider me as worthy of your giveaway!

Thank you-
Jen

I have emailed you before with no response, but I know you are very busy so I keep it simple....Do you pray? Mayhap those reading this email and yourself will pray for me. I am a struggling addict, just lost my job, owe adult probation money this week, owe my landlord back rent, possibly to be evicted and I desire a change in my life. I am at library completing my resume for job search. I have asked God for forgiveness and have received it. My life is changing. I have not used drugs for 4 days, have attended church since, resting better and have a better outlook on life. Continue to pray for me. Thank you, Connie

I'm sure you havent given 1thought as to why my sister hasn't written to you for some time now, last you had been told i think was the car didn't pass inspection, they gave her husband a rejection sticker which only allows you 60 days to stay on the road and get the repairs fixed.on the way home friday from her dr's in boston, the axel broke and the engine went on fire.an ambulance was called, she suffered another stroke, mild, but still harmed her terribly, now there is no way her husband can drive her for dr. visits they have no money to fix the car or no money to even buy a used one.she won't talk to anyone she just cries all day,i'm going to her house in the AM to see if i can get her to watch your show or even just to sit up in the livingroom,my husband is driving me over there on his way to work as he is bringing 1 and only tv as she dosen't even have 1anymore,they had to pawn it to buy her meds.god bless Ellen,Boston loves you and you know my sis does too.with our love my sister and I i never miss a show as i think the world of you.our aunt in baton rouge has had the pleasure of meeting you,she is so funny, she said if i were only younger i'd rock Ellen's world, she adores you.our hello's to portia and mom also....Jane. 02/18/08

First things first Ellen, let me step in on a comment from one of your listeners who wrote you on March 17th. Hello Katie (age 15)- Ellen is one of my heroes as well and I wish you all the best in getting to meet Ellen because I really think that is great that you picked such a person as a positive influence in your life, really! p.s. it is not spelled softmore, it is sophomore. Good Luck Katie! Dear Ellen: I love watching all the people that get things on the 12 days of Christmas. It is like we are all kids at heart! As adults around that time of year, we usually tend to get enjoyment from watching the kids get presents! You and your staff are the Santa Claus for adults! Many sincere thanks for years of entertainment to come! Kelly

Hi Ellen! I love your show, and watch it everyday, and if I miss it in the morning its on in the afternoon! The thing I like about your show is that it is not always just celebrities, you bring on very talented people, or heroes, or just your everyday person with an incredible story to tell. You are the only talk show that does that. You seem to be a very down to earth person. My sister and I would love to come watch a taping of your show, but we live in Canada and it's quite expensive to come see you. Anyways your an awesome person, and you have alot of fans out there!! Maybe someday I'll get to meet you in person.

I respect you for being you and just making people feel good. I wish i could come to your show, but I live in Staten Island,N.Y and its way to expensive to come out there and i dont have a crazy story except for that i am broke and currently out of a job. I went to school for ultrasound and graduated last year and have been looking for a job every since. I took a loan out for $25,0000 and have to pay every month for it when i never got a job because they wont hire with no experience, well how am i sopposed to get experience if they dont hire me. My parents feel bad for me, and they want me to find a job and also so they dont have to help me with the loan. Well anyways, im writing to you because i always see you do good things for people and i love it. It sickens me to see that today's society is still just as intolerant of gay people as they were 50, 100 plus years ago. I know not everyone will approve of it but accepting as a part of life would be nice. Why can't we all just get along.

Dear Ellen
Maybe I'm asking alot but; my Auntie Pat & Uncle Garry McFarlane from Manitoulin Island,Ont;Canada
will be celebrating their 50th Aniversery on Easter week.Could you give them a little twist & shout.
It's not so much the number of(because in my family they tend to marry for the long haul!! But I guess what I want to explain is the acceptence & example of the support that they showed for young & old; when my cousin Tom married his Husband Luc. (Which I believe was the first legal marriage in the Sault dist.) Anyways I'm just braging,
But the morel of the storey is without her love & understanding of things she may not of understood, she crashed that afternoon reception with the family. And all the homemade goods that any bride/groom should recieve!
But I would like to tell you more;
Pat wrote & published a novel about her mother all the while fightin emphesema, her beutiful daughter Donna (43) who has always been fightin brain stem cancer; she had to take a early retierment from teaching early education in Elliot Lake .. But let me not forget Uncle Gary who is so in love with his Girls that he dotes on them to this minute; Oh & he is the towns Mr fix it. I have so much more to tell; but the love n unquestionable support this family gives is a Testament of our Grandmother Euginia Wallace

IT'S A DECISION THAT I WAS MADE TO THINK, BY MY MOTHER, THAT IT WAS THE CORRECT ONE AT THE TIME, BUT, IT HAD CAUSED SO MUCH SADNESS @ REGRET FOR 25 YEARS NOW!! I HAVE TRIED TO FIND HER, BUT BACK IN 1982 ADOPTIONS WERE CLOSED @ THE AGENCY SAYS THAT THERE IS NO RECORD OF MY ADOPTION, SO I AM LOST AT WHAT I CAN DO? I JUST WANT HER TO KNOW THAT I DID IT OUT OF LOVE , I THOUGHT THAT I WAS UNABLE TO GIVE HER THE LIFE SHE DESERVED AT THE TIME. I REALLY DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET ANY HELP IN FINDING HER, SO IF THERE'S ANY ADVISE YOU COULD GIVE, THAT WOULD BE GREAT!! I APPRECIATE YOU FOR JUST TAKING THE TIME TO READ THESE EMAIL.

Dear Ellen: I wrote to you before about my wonderful Mother. I wasnt sure if you received it or not. Both of us are BIG FANS of your show,in fact I was the one getting my Mom started to watch your show.. After the first one one she has been hooked, she loves your dancing part cause she loves to dance especially the 1950's music. Let me tellyou why my Mom is the best in the world to me and my brother. First she is is a good cook and a good friend to my older and myself. Last year I found out I was pregnant I was in my Senior year at school, and I was afraid at first to tell her that I was pregnant, she wasnt mad at first at all like I thought to make it short she made all my doctor appointments, cause I was a student in beauty school in Johnstown, PA. we live in Indiana County, Penna, she stayed in her car at my schoo, with the price of gas she couldnt go home then back again, it was a 45 min drive one way, and she was by side when my son Zachery was born on 12-26-07, and almost 2 months later she was with me when Zachery had to be flown to Childrens hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. And she takes care of him M-Sat for me while I am at school. I was wondering if you could help her, you help other wonderful people. She needs a car, she had a trailblazer but she couldnt afford the payments, so Capitol One took it back, and took some of her CD's.
also she neeeds help to catch up on our house payments so they dont foreclose on us. She makes sure Zachery has what he needs, he needs breathing treatments, and she needs a car to take him to Dr. Appointments and such. And our house needs a remodel to make it bigger. amd most of all I like my mom to get a make-over she never takes time for herself. I wasnt sure if you are doing a Mothers day show or just to help her out. I sure pray you can help we are Catholic, mom always say that Prayer helps. I hope you can answer her her and my prayers.. Hope you get this soon Thanks, Sincerely, Kristen Repik She is a big Animal lover and she was telling me how you was on the cover on the Magazine cover todays show 3-10-08.

Dear Ellen, I love your show and I think you are so funny. I watch you everyday and love it when you dance.
I am writing you about the Florida trip, not for me but for my two grandaughters. You see in Feb.2007 they lost their great Grandma, who was 92, my mother. Then in March they moved to Florida where I stayed in Ohio,so that has been a year ago. Then a few months later they got news their grandmother on their mothers side was dying with cancer. They came home to be with her and she passed away. They now live in Orlando and I miss them so very much.I know they are homesick and Ellen, I have been working sometimes 18 hours aday to try and get ahead to visit them but just recently had to buy a car to get to work.
Brittany and Emily are so homesick, and I want to go to Florida to visit them so badly, but I just can't get ahead.I'm not sure what the Florida trip is but I know it's in Orlando where my girls are. Of course I hope to win, but if not, you just keep rockin girl. Love YA, Grandma Sandy from Ohio

Dear Ellen,

My name is Audrey. I am a single mother with 2 teenage children. I work 2 jobs and barely make ends meet. My car is a lemon and my house is literally falling apart. But most important I am diagnosed with super morbid obesity. My weight is 310 and my BMI is 50.

I have had problems with my weight all my life. The stigma that comes with being overweight in our society is very sad and very real. I feel that stigma everyday. I have jeopardized my health many times from fad diets and exercise programs to starvation. I have failed every diet that I have tried, in fact I have dieted my way over 300#!! At this weight living is a struggle. In the last few years I have been diagnosed with diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, asthma, and high cholesterol. Along with lower back, neck and knee pain and can hardly walk up and down the stairs. Extender seatbelts and cramped restaurant booths are very embarrassing. I know I could be getting so much more out of life.

I am at a critical weight and that we need to take immediate action. With the medication and pain that I have it is impossible to lose the weight. My physician said that I would be a good candidate for the lap band surgery. This procedure would allow me to reduce my weight with reduced food intake without the starvation and deprivation. This type of surgery would most likely remedy my obesity and the co-morbidities that go along with it. With this procedure I could participate in sports; be able to exercise. I want to dance. I want a new and healthy lifestyle. I want to expand my life and see my children graduate from high school and college, and I would like to be healthy enough to see my grandchildren some day.

I was denied by my insurance(which I have been with for 20+years) because my insurance plan does not cover anything regarding weight loss management. I was denied by state aid and medicare, and also the hospital that I have worked in for the past 15 years. I’m in desperate need of a cure, I am asking for monetary contributions to pay for my fight for longevity but I need help getting the word out. Can you help me??

Dear Ellen,

Our school desperately needs your help. For the past four years, parents, educators and students from extremely diverse backgrounds worked together to create a unique tuition-free public charter school that emphasizes international education, cultural diversity and caring for the environment. We are modest people who came together in the middle of Smalltown, America to build an oasis for our families. Now, because of one person’s selfish actions our dreams may be destroyed.

Picture a school where everyone is encouraged to share their culture and children are taught to be stewards of the environment – a school where the teacher from India is encouraged to paint henna tattoos on her students and the South African teacher wears traditional robes - a school where kindergartners learn Chinese and Spanish and parents speaking a variety of languages work together to build a butterfly garden and a playground. After school the “Earth Savers Club” picks up trash and recyclables and builds animal habitats – That’s Carolina International School. We have 450 students that are taught to respect each other and the environment.

We were in the process of raising funds for one of the "greenest" school buildings in the country, when our Chief Financial officer ran off (literally! She was captured several states away) with all our money. In the aftermath she is accused of embezzling over $250,000 and mismanaging $400,000.

I know the money is gone and we can’t build our building. And, that’s ok. It’s not about the building. Bricks and mortar do not make a school, the teachers and families do. Sadly, our school is completely broke and if we can not raise funds, these wonderful teachers can’t be paid. Our school could close as early as May 1st if we can’t meet payroll. Some teachers have offered to work for free – but it seems so unfair.

Can you help us? If we can keep the school going until July, we can request Federal aid for the following school year. However if we close down now, we’ll close forever.

Sincerely,
Debbie Wiesler

Hi Ellen! You have the gift of bringing heartfelt joy to people. You have shared this blessing with so many people; and we are all so very grateful to share in return! Although I'd really love a trip to Florida, I'm actually submitting this for a very deserving person. My very dear friend (Denise Mettie)is caring for her son who returned from Iraq with a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). She is so inspirational to many of us -- quit her job to give him constant care and rehab, spoke before a congressional hearing on behalf of all our wounded warriors, has helped others to get through the red tape of the VA system, and all the while keeping her faith and staying positive! Evan's story is on the caringbridge website (www.caringbridge.org -- just type in evanmettie (no caps or spaces) to see why this fine lady needs a special vacation! Thank you for bringing so much happiness to so many people. You're awesome!

Hi Ellen!
I love your show, and I watch it every day that I get the chance to.
I was able to watch the show on Friday, when you spoke about Larry, the young boy who was killed for being gay. This brought instant tears to my eyes...for the young boy who still had a full life to live, now taken away so unexpectedly and viciously...for his parents and family members that now not only grieve for the loss of a loved one, but also have the awful memories of how and why he was taken from them so soon.
It has been almost two years now that my cousin was killed, and the police believe in part that it was because he was openly gay. David was robbed in his own home and beaten beyond any human's capacity to withstand. The police have never found the killers. So, my family and I carry on every day with the heaviness in our hearts that we will never see Dave's smiling face again, all because some people in this big world can't accept anyone different from what their small mind believes to be "normal & acceptable".
Thank You Ellen, for standing up and being a public voice in a world that so much needs to hear the message that "Being different, unique & just being you, is O.K.!"

Hello Ellen!

I watch your program when I really need to feel happy and laugh for awhile. Surprise today! I am still crying about those poor young boys. My gut instinct is that they were BOTH young gay children. One is dead and one is a murderer. None of this was necessary.

Parents need to know that every comment they make, every laugh at an evil anti-gay joke, every gathering without a single gay person attending that they participate in, is harming their child. The future has no place for this insanity.

Our family has always included everyone. When our grandson was twelve he came to his Grandpa and I and told us that he was gay and had always known who he was. He knew that it was time to say something because he had reached the point in school where people would say "do you have a crush on someone, etc.." and he did not want to spend a moment being dishonest. He also hand wrote letters to all of his friends offering the same information. Fortunately, our community had resourses that included support groups for gay and lesbian kids. The school system he was in tolerated no prejudice of any kind. He eventually represented our state in Washington D.C. to advocate for gay, lesbian, transgendered, and bisexual kids. Today he is an amazing college student following his dreams, singing his heart out and becoming an amazing linguist. He is happy, healthy, loving and well loved by everyone he meets. This is the life that every child deserves. This is the kind of person that our society loses every time we create a climate of fear that forces people to hide. Eventually, the child even hides from themself and cannot offer the beauty and goodness we all need in this difficult time.

I guess my main point is that every evil attitude contributed to the tragedy today. Many members of every community are working to make sure that the end of this nightmare is near. People need to join them and honestly evaluate whether or not they are contributing to the destruction of another child. If they can't change their hearts, at least they can shut their mouths.

Thanks again for the joy and happiness you offer. You have made our grandsons' path so much easier.

Ellen,

I watch your show every day with my husband. I love your topics and love watching the peoples faces when they play your games on the show. I work love to have a day just about me. I work two jobs and I am the main bread maker $$ for my family. I recently found out I had a heart attack. (Don't worry I feel great) I don't recall when the episode could have occurred. I do stay stressed out all the time because of the bills and a child in college with another one right behind that one I would love to have a TANA day and pamper myself with gifts.

I love your show. You are so hilarious! I love the faces you make. I watched you on Deal or No Deal.

Thanks for your comments today about the senseless murder of the boy because he was gay. Kids learn from their role models, thanks for modelling tolerance.

Ellen I went to a church with a friend. Mainly to drive her because she didn't drive herself. I knew that she had some racist and beliefs that I didn't agree with, but we all have that right. I sat in that church in shock when the minister came out and said,"I hate all gays." "Gays will not enter into the kingdom of heaven." The church was packed as always. Full of children, impressionable teens and one 82 year old lady sitting next to me, that believed everything this man said. I felt like I had been punch in the head. I am not gay but I have had friends that are gay. I lost my nephew that I was very close to and it broke my heart that we lost him at such a young age. I have no doubt that the god I know loved these people. Until this country quits supporting churches that teach our young people to hate gays, people that get abortions, and people who look or act different should be punished. The hate problems will go on in our schools, work places, and streets. I have not been back to that church. It is a sad day when our churches teach hate in gods name. This just makes me sick.

You should have given me one of those Janet Jackson CD's, I never win anything. Sob, boo hoo, is it because I am old and cripple? I would love a day out with your mom, gladys, and you. Gladys cracks me up. I love Jesus but honestly I like a bit of the brew myself. Love you Ellen, You can make me laugh no matter how much pain I am in.

Hi,Ellen I've never been more emotinal than I was when you talked about the young boy who was murdered, alot of people are afraid of the unknonw.Weather your to tall to short to pretty to ugly,to fat to skinny,to smart not smart enough.have tatoos, wear a scarf or turbin, and on and on.If you don't fit the norm then your differant. So what is norm?the world would be really strange if everyone was the same.thats why everyone should just realize that we are all individuals.and nothing anyone does is going to change it EVER.......

Hi Ellen, I watch your show every day.I work from home I do daycare and at 9am the t.v. is mine and the kids and me watch you. They love to dance along with you and sing. Today"s show was very upsetting to hear about that young boy my kids kept on asking me why I was crying they are two and three to young to understand. There is still so much hatered in this world that it makes me sick and I blame the parents for not talking to their children. I have two children of my own andif either on said they were gay I would love them no matter what. But I also know they would have a hard life ahead of them. Just to be accepted every where they would go.I think you have made it so much better for the gay population you are a wonderful role model and example of how people should be treated. Thank you for a great show every day wish you were on on Sat and Sun also thank you again cindy

Hi Ellen, Just want you to know I am a newbee to your show. It all started when a friend and I sat and watched your show. Her tears of not having a job turned to laughter. You had the two of us rolling on the floor laughing.
It is so good to know that when I have had a bad day, I can com home; turn on the 'boob toob' and watch what I believe to be the funniest show I have seen in a long time.
Though there is a lot to do in 'ole fartsville', Leesburg Florida. You would not believe what goes on in these developments, made up of mainly people over 55, "THE Retirement Place". Right! I read the minutes of a home owners' meeting and have a real chuckle. When you come from a large city, ie. New York City,
Chicago, San Francisco, et al. there it a huge culture shock. You could do an entire show on just that.
Again, I want to thank you for sharing your talent. I see myself rushing home to watch you. Dr. Phil, eat your heart out! I hope tee you when you return to Universal Orlando for your show.
hugs....Jo
PS you are welcome in my home for some dinner, if you wish. It may not be what you are used to, but it could be interesting.

hello ellen - was watching your show this a.m. as always, cant beleive story about two young boys. This stuff comes from the parents. As the mother of three children, i have heard and seen it all. Parents teach their kids to call other childred names, cut them out of the play groups or circle of friends. Parents who talk about being gay or anything dirogatory about others should keep in mind their kids are listening. Children practice what the parents preach. My heart goes out to caring people such as yourself who teach tollerence just by being out there. Keep up the good work ellen - keep talking - if you teach tollerence to only one person a day.

Hi Ellen....I have had a wonderful career working with children and losing one child because of hate is beyond my comprehension.I am the mother of 5 beautiful children and one foster son.I hope I have raised them to see the world with compassion and care.May we all be affected by this terrible tragedy to work hard for the children who are the worlds future.

Ellen, talk show hosts come and go -- but you are so different. You feel like you are a part of my family. I can't wait until 11 so I can round up my 3 yorkies and sit down and have a bite of lunch with you. We laugh and sometimes cry with you. You are such a down-to-earth human -- there is none of the holier than thou Hollywood-type attitude. What you have done for people across this nation is unbelievable -- not just the people of New Orleans. Loved what you gave Josiah, the young man that did not make the Idol cut (he was by no means a reject!!). And the guests you have, like Garth Brooks, who is also such a humble and giving person. You gotta keep up the good work girl. This world needs you. Keep loving and keep entertaining. We love you.

HI, Ellen:
last time I watched your show you were in bed rest;I hope you feel better now.
I did not know about the car giveaway until today but my baby and I wanted to win so bad, because we only have one car;my husband go to work early morning and I work at night, when I have doctors appointment for the baby,we have to drop off daddy to work at 5:00am and when I go to work pick me up at 12:00 midnight or 1:00 am with the baby,we have to wake her up either way:pick-up or drop off,he gets cold in georgia this time of year 30-25 degrees, and I did not even get a chance (not one) to win because I stayed in front of the T.V. instead of the internet thinking we would use the phone after the show.S.O.S we really need a car Ellen.

Hi Ellen,

Just want to tell you how much I love your show. I was layed off in September and have been watching you everyday since. I am job hunting of course. I am a baby boomer who was in the mortgage business. I raised my four daughters as a single Mom. I taught them to be independent and wow are they! They hardly need Mom at all. Four years ago I lost my Mom & Dad, was divorced, lost my best friend and my youngest daughter moved to Utah for school. So I had a bad case of empty nest syndrome. I got a puppy she is a poo-chi and so cute. Every where we go she attracts attention.
She will smile and give me five.

Thank you for all the fun & laughs!

Hey,
Im a mom, I love your show, my youngest really enjoyed your hosting the ride at Disney World Orlando. . can't remember the name of it. Sit in the rows and the audience seat followed the screens with you in it! I don't know a lot that would be interesting, maybe check out the the KINGTONES, they have been a super cool band (back in the days, the listed higher on the charts than the BEADLES!) since about 1958, my late father in law actually started the band, my husband and I were planning to drive to grand rapids MI to see them, but they recently stopped touring. . now cousin Randy, he's in TX, he headed up the design of Stuntman on the Xbox, there you go, that would be cool, Ellen playing Stuntman ignition...Now have a good one.

Hi Ellen,

I love your show so much, I am home about all the time and you help me keep my sanity and help me from going into a depression. When I get to feeling rough, I listen to other people's stories and then I do not feel so bad. I am on oxygen all the time and it is really hard for me to go much, because it takes so many tanks of oxygen that I cannot keep enough to get out a lot. Also I cannot walk vary far and I have a motorized chair, but do not have anyway to load it in the van. But, anyhow, like I say you keep me laughing and keep my mind off things.
I have tried to win on these givaways a lot, but I guess I am not supposed to have these material things. I have been blessed, though not with money but through my family. My husband and I raised seven children(his, mine, and ours). We managed to have a roof over our heads and food on the table and I think that is all we can ask for. I never had a new vehicle, or a house of my own, but I survived, and am probably stronger for it.
Thanks, Ellen for all the laughs and showing us about other people's lives to make us feel better about our own lives.

One of my favorite shows was when you had the boy from American Idol. My heart went with him after he didn't make it on the show. I would love to talk to you one time, to let mothers know it's tough ,but you can be happy and make it. Might not have the best, but it's from the heart. My cildren,s ages are 25-male,18-daug.,16-m,13-d,11-m,9-m,7&7-m, one twin has Angelman Syndrome. And I Love Them With All My Heart, I hope they know this. You are the best Ellen!!!!!!!!!!

Ellen, I would love to be a part of one of your 12 Day get away shows! My mother happens to be my best friend. I wondered if you ever thought of doing a special show around the holidays for Mothes and Daughers only. Daughters learn from thier Mothers, how to be warm giving people from early childhood. It would be a wonderful trip to get away from the "Michigan weather" and get away from the stress around the holiday season with my Mom to California. What a perfect present! Speaking of present-- I'd love to dance with "PRESENT"

Dear Ellen,

I am 8 yrs. old and you are my favorite person on all of television. I am home schooled, so my mom lets me take my snack break for one hour starting at 10am our time(wwmt)to watch your show. You are so funny and when I was sick with a virus you still made me laugh. I have one question for you--why do people do things to hurt other people? I know you can think of some answer. I am referring to people stealing from you etc. Recently I had a sleep over and someone stole my Hannah Montana posters(2),my hannah watch, guitar and a hannah blanket. Someone also took my mom's diamond cross necklace. I was so upset because I never thought my friends would do such a thing. I trusted them. My mom was in tears and so was I. I absolutely love Hannah (next to you) and now I don't have some things with Hannah just because I trusted someone. I had bought most of it with my allowance or with my b-day money. Everyone brought duffel bags with blankets and pillows etc. or else I probably would have caught them. I had just gotten the DS game (hannah montana) and now that is gone too. I told my mom I do not want anymore b-day parties except for family and the best present would be to have you there or at least a picture of you autographed to hang in my room. It would be awesome!! Thank you for listening and I hope you can help me to understand why this happened. Love you, Camryn

Ellen, WOW! Your show is the best and you are the greatest. For months my sister and I watched your show together via telephone(she, Sarah, lived in Alabana and I live in Georgia). Your show added so much joy to our day. She was a cancer patient and sometimes there were sad painful days. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

I now have another Ellen partner, my 5 year old grandson, Alec Cole. He looks forward to seeing Ellen after he gets home from kingergarten. "It's time for Ellen"
I hear him call to me. Thanks again!

I wiah you much more success and you, Ellen, "the generous", per Cole, will get there. Keep up the great work.

Respectfullly,

Dear Ellen: I am so computer illiterate, I think I posted my last message to you on Dr. Phil. I have been trying to reach you for a year by e.mail and getting so frustrated. You are, without a doubt, the most refreshing and funniest woman on TV today. We also share a birthday, Jan. 26th, but not the same year. Aquarians are a multitude of complexes and I love it. To get to the point, you would "make my day" if you could connect me with Liam Neeson - I grew up in the same town in Ballymena, N Ireland - his father had a pub and my father used to imbibe; plus my uncle, who was a butcher, would exchange meat for booze with Barney, Liam's dad. I am now 68 and in the twilight of my years, but I have always admired Liam for his accomplishments as a great actor and am so proud to have grown up a few streets from him. I know you can make this happen Ellen - hell, Aquarians are especially good at connecting. If this is not possible, I will still love you. If this IS possible, I will clean your house for a year, cook for you and Portia and baby sit your dogs. Love you, Beth

Hey does anyone know the song that was playing when Josiah Leming walked out on Ellen. It sounded like him for a second, but I love it and cant find it anywhere. Please help. Thanks

end entry

Josiah's voice transcends intrigue... into a new class of soul. I was an American Idol watcher last season. I first heard his song on your show today, Ellen. I love the rough edges of his voice that may have gotten him eliminated from AI. His sound is fresh for its genuine, perfectly imperfect vulnerability. He is lovable, lures the listener in, and is extremely marketable to chicks like me. Thankyou for helping him to the surface!

Maybe Richard Branson will open an airline dedicated to pet travel. My french bulldog, Tuffy, who by the way looks just like Pig, would love to see his pals in FL, but is too big to be seated on the plane with me in a carrier under my feet and I absolutely would not put him underneath the plane in the baggage compartment. It would be devastating and he would have trouble breathing, so now the only way for us to get to FL is to drive from NY. Please Richard, start a pet friendly airline where I can buy a seat for Tuffy right next to mine!!!

My husband and me have been fans from the beginning. I am an elementary teacher so I don't get to see you everyday, but my husband tells me what I missed. He is retired. Sometimes he will call or text me on my lunch break to tell me what I missed. I am home today,Feb.11, because it is a snow day. We love the Japanese clips. We visited our son there last summer, he is teaching English there, We love the driving gloves!! We saw women wear them during the day just walking around and on the trains. Sometimes they carried umbrellas while wearing the gloves!! They do not like to get sunburn. Your show is our favorite. Someday we hope to visit your show.

Ellen,I had the great pleasure of seeing your show on Jan. 10,2008. When I recieved the phone call from your staff you would have thought that it was a call from God o'mighty. I was so excited! I invited my two sisters and my husband. We travled from a small town by the name of Oakdale(close to Modesto) We laughed, sang and just had the best time(that was just on the way to Pasadena) We had tickets for the riff raft room. We made it into the audience by only 4 people. I also recieved a free t-shirt because I guess I was pretty loud and the young cutie guy threw one at me. I was so proud and happy that I cried.I watch you every day and I hope to have the opportunity to see you again. LOVE YOU OFIE

Dear Ellen I wanted to tell you how much I like your show and I even got my grandma watching now to. This is my first time on here and I read some of the peoples comments. I would not normally do this but I am very upset at all the people asking for things from you. You already do so much like in New Orleans. I am sorry if I affend anyone but it is horrible to hear people using this to ask for anything. We are all delt a hand of cards in life and yeah sometimes it is not good but you have to overcome it and move on especially if you have other people that rely on you. Most all of us in this world have had a bad situation happen but I am here to tell you that there is always someone out there who has it worse then you and I have seen that first hand meeting people when my girls where in the hospital. But I have moved on and I thank god every day for all that he has blessed me with and I feel you should do the same. If you are meant to have it you will get it if not there you need to move on. Stop asking for hand outs I know that alot of people in this world could use one. I have always had a hard time but I would never ask for free hand outs it is not right nor is it fair to ask. Again sorry if I affend anyone this is my opinion on life. Thanks for your time!

Ellen:
Let me start out by saying I watch your show all the time. When I see you walk out on the stage and see your smile and how your personality can light up a room. You instantaly brighten my day. You can brighten up a persons day just watching you, but I'm sure you have heard all of this before. Ellen, God gives us all different talents to use to glorify him. I believe your talent is to uplift people and give them hope and the courage to face another day. Also, you give the biggest gift of all LAUGHTER which can do so much for the body. Your show makes me laugh so much my side will be hurting. I usually TIVO because my two boys will be in and out and I dont want to miss a thing during the show and I will watch it while they are asleep. My oldest son is 17, he tells everyone at school Ellen Degeneres is my moms favorite show. My baby is 6, dont know why I put that in there I just found that to be important. Anyway, Ellen, I think and my sister thinks you are a ray of sunshine and you brighen many lives everyday.

Good morning or good afternoon Ellen,

I'm a Licensed Acupuncturist and Physical Therapist in Florida and I must say your show is a hot topic around here.Saying hey did watch the show? Wasn't Ellen funny? Of course everyone says, yes.If not grounds for immediate discharge from physical therapy. ( only joking)

Being 50 something we grew up with Lucy ( who you remind me of) and JAckie Gleason and Art Karnie. Watching your show brings back the humor that we used to see on a daily basis yet somehow it's been lost. Thank you for bringing good qi, joy and happiness a reason to boogie again!
It's been prooven that for every time we laugh we boost the immune system 18 minutes so Thank you for keeping us healthy.
Hope to visit the show one day in person but for now I will use the DVR and watch the show and boost my immune system.
Also thank you for helping those in need your heart is really larger than the Olympic Stadiums.
Adios from Florida

I was so jealous of the people in the audience. The gifts you gave away were absolutely fabulous. I NEVER win anything neat. You are always giving great gifts away. I'll never make it to a show like that. I'm not even sure I have the right clothes to wear. Then how the heck to I find the money to get there? Divorced and haven't worked in a long time. Well, I guess I'll just have to stick to the TV. Love your show!!!

Hello E
I am just astound at the majority of the American audience that have no shame to ask for things when in most of the shows they get freebies and such eg: "look under your chairs" anyway they are very lucky indeed and we here in South Africa are just very jealous when they scream with happiness in the shows when they get such nice stuff.
Go E go!! youre the best!

Dear Ellen, Well first I want to wish you a belated happy birthday. You are one very special lady. I love watching your show. It really does brighten my day. My husband has been sick for my years. I have been taking care of him pretty much my whole married life. Oh well what can you do. I was also taking care of my mom who had alzhemiers for many years. She recently passed away. I do miss her. I also use to take care of her. I am just writing you to say that my whole family birthday is in the month of February. My daughter is Feb. 3rd, my husbands is the 19th my son is the 24th and finally comes mine, the 28th of February.Yes this is the truth. I would to take the trip cross country. I love to travel, but really haven't been to too many places. I would love to win that new car for my son. He is getting married and is also having a new baby. They own 2 unreliable cars. It would be a great birthday present for him. He works really hard and doesn't ask for anything He is just really happy and proud to be a new daddy. His Finance already has a 4 yr old little boy. What I would want for my birthday is just to meet you. I think that you are adorable and I have never seen anyone who cares about people like you do. I try to help as many people as I can. If I see someone who is homeless and hungry, I would go and buy them something to eat. I know how I feel when I do that, so I could just imagine how it feels to do what you do for people. There is definitly a place in heaven for you. May god keep on blessing you and give you the strength to continue to make people laugh and be happy. I do hope that one day I can come to you show and be a part of that great engery that you send to people. Just a note my daughter is also getting married. She is one special kid. She is always watching over me, as you do your mom. We actually watch your show together. We tivo it. Yes it is true. I would love to do something really special for both of my kids. well I went on enough. Hope to meet you on that trip across country.

Ellen, God Bless You Girl, for all that you are and all that you do. I love your show,I have followed you from day one. Your so fun, you keep my day alive. I am going in for brain surgery soon. I find it so hard to get around. I was hit by a drunk driver in 88 and lost my home, car, job. Life has not been easy. out of that I wound up with fibromyalgia, lupus and rhumetoid and osteo arthritis. My teeth arevery painful, is there anyway you could help? God has helped me through one brain surgery, now I'm in line for another one. What I would give to have my life back. I've had to start all over again so many times, but then I could. Now I need help. Would you be my angel? I am so positive about this next surgery. But then I have to go in for knee surgery. Dr.s tell me I will be tied up for at least two to three years for recovery. I am a very positive person, people can't understand how I keep up with it all but Isn't that what were suppose to do when the chips are down? My goal in life for 20 years now has been to see how many people a day I can make smile, to lighten their load. Then I graduated to see how many people a day I can make laugh. This makes me feel better also. Whan I go groceries I always help people choose products. I have been a hairstylist for 26 years now. I love helping in this category. I have done models for the Phil Donahue Show way back when. I love helping people. I love people in general. I'm a real people person. God Bless You Ellen! You give me strength! After all you are one of the big come back kids, and what a come back you are! YOU GO GIRL! I have done models for the Phil Donahue Showbuy products. This is the first time I have had enough condifence to write something like this. I watch your show and love the things you do to help others. I am 73 and I have never had a new car. They have alwways been 7 or 8 years old when I get them. I would like to have a new one, but I know I never will because I live on SS, which is not enough to buy much less make the payments. I know you will never read this but I had to write one time. I hope you the best with your show, and thanks for letting me write this. Thanks

Dear Ellen, I have written several letters to get one of your readers to really read what I had written. You have come a long way baby, as I never missed your comedy show and now your talk show is #1-you have some really serious fans that are not fly-by-night. You are so funny and I think you ad-lib a lot, which even takes more talent. I will be in Escondido, CA. (I live in Florida) to visit my best friend, who just may be your biggest fan. I will be there from April 1st through the 18th. All I want is to surprise my bestest friend for over 50+ years with tickets for her and me to your show. That's it-not asking for a car, house, anything else-Patty deserves the best after years of working with hospice patients along with taking care of her father until he took his last breath and her younger sister with breast cancer until she drew her last breath-I could not do it and it takes a "special" type person to do this-continued GOOD LUCK with your show and we LOVE you! Hope you are on TV for a VERY long time.

Hello Ellen,

Well I just want to start by saying I LOVE YOU!!! My 19 month old daughter and my 7 week old son watch you every day. You are absolutley hillarious. My daughter Chloe dances every morning and says hi Ewwen, it's adorable. I am 18 years old and I have been married since July 14th 2007. My life hasn't gone as planned so far but I am really trying to get everything on track. I am a cosmetologist and my husband works at Oreilley Auto Parts. We live in the basement at my parents house but have desperatly tried numerous times to get a loan to buy a home of some kind but we just can't. I just really need some help and I know if anyone could help it would be you. I know my whole family, grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings all love you and would love to meet you. Please can you help my family of for Phillip, Chloe, Jackson, and myself get on our feet? Thank God there's people in this world like you.

Love,

Hi Ellen,

I just wanted to tell you that I love what you do for other people. You do exactly what I wish I could do but I don't have the money nor the fame. It drives me nuts all these famous people that could make such a differnence in the world but, they just continue to go down the wrong path, some end up in jail and others take or loose their lives, and have no interest in anyone else but themselves, yet they have the opportunity to make such a difference, but they don't. I watched your show today and was so touched when you gave that new vehicle to the lady from New Orleans. Thanks for being you, this world could use more of people like you.

God Bless you,
Maggie McDaniel in frozen Palmer, Alaska.

I really get a great feeling when I watch your show. I remember watching you doing stand-up from the beginning, I could tell you were going to be a star.

I've learned so much from you. Your giving heart that never quits. You help people (New Orleans, etc.) so much with material things and of course with kind words. I do what I can do to help. Which I know is a help, because any donation is better than nothing. Also, volunteer work is very good too. I get goose bumps when your helping
people.
Your big heart (I can't think of right words that are strong enough.) Diana S.

Hi There Ellen,

I grew up loving Lucy, although I was born in the 80's I was a very dedicated fan, and after memorizing every word she ever spoke, I desided it was time to idolize a living humor. i'm glad to say I see her humor in yours, your humor is so real, and fresh, I laugh so hard I cry, I don't have to exersize any more I just watch Ellen, and laugh my abs off! My family loves my sence of humor, And I love Your sence of humor! Thank you so much for not being afraid to make people laugh, I was told as a child that I was just to wierd, but now I know somtimes it's hard for parents to understand how their childs personality could be so different from their personality, I can happily say both of my parents enjoy my wierd personality now! (wierd being witty, loud, willing to talk about things no one else will talk about)

Hey Ellen
My twelve year old grandson and his buddies continue to say "oh, that's so gay". I tried and tried to talk the little buggers out of saying it but it continued. Recently, when some of his buddies were over I told him that he was hurting my feelings because I am gay (I am not really gay). Well, to make a long story short, the principal now thinks I'm gay,The teacher thinks I'm gay and at least one his buddies thinks I'm gay. I don't care about that (even though his school seems to be very conservative). I just want to know what you think about ideas to stop the kids from say "Oh that's so gay". Keep up your good work Ellen.

Well here I am again - the fourth time. Every chance I get to write a few words, I do. Hope you liked your poem for your birthday. Unfortunately, I don't know if you got it. It really described what you are about. I too enjoy helping people. If more people felt this way, no one in the world would be lonely. I wish you would really read what I wrote you and let me know (I'm sure your staff will do it and that's okay, I know you're too busy to do that in person) Any-e-way - love you and hope that someday I will be able to meet you. We live on the bayou and as previously stated, I know you would love it. Only a little over an acre, but it would be a "kick" for you to do your show from here - with all the nature behind you. We could really pack em in. And Louisiana, just think you could get Brad and Angelina over here to promote the "Make it Right" and I'm sure some of our "people with money - ha" would be more than eager to assist the program. Just think about it - if you ever have the opportunity to have you show elsewhere as you did before. My better half, Donald and I, would love to be your hosts and the alligators, ducks, African and Chinese geese, Canadian geese, squirrels, fish, birds, neutra rats, and the occasional possum would love to be your guests. Talk about "pet pals" - that is my latest venture. Doing some greeting cards, clothing and dog and cat accessories to partially benefit the ASPCA. Would love your backing. Okay, enough taking up all your time. Keep up the wonderful shows -your spirit is unmatched in television and in "real life".
Luv ya, Kitty
P.S. I'm so glad we had this time together (my other favorite person, Carol Burnett) Boy if I met both of you, there would be nothing left in life to want. See ya soon.

One minute your giving someone a car. Which I think is fantastic.

Then, you give away tickets to the superbowl without giving the others a chance.(maybe they were not as pretty)

You pick a winner for the 12 days who wrote a letter but you only had us enter by e-mail.

Your games seem fake.

Anyway we love it and I am sure who ever wins it will love it also. Its to bad there are'nt more people like you in this world. Happy Birthday I hope I look as good as you when I turn 50.

Hi Ellen,

I'm Donn from the Philippines and I have to admit I'm not able to watch your show that often now that I'm here in the Philippines. When I was still in CA though, i watched your show religiously. Here in the Philippines, to be able to watch your show, I have to go to my parents' house which is more than 4 hours away from where i am residing (you see I'm a student, and the dump where I live in has no Cable TV cause the Tv we had there is not so obsolete, that actors weren't born yet when it was made lol). I love watching your show cause your so darn funny that I cant help laughing just thinking about it. I love your sense of humor and the way you deliver your lines. I truly wish I could go there to Burbank and watch your show with me and my friends. Of course the freebies aint to shabby either hahah.. I would just like to be able to win something and or get a reward. I really love your show and I would like to let you know that you have a fan here in the Philippines..me. Anyways take care and Hope you had a happy birthday. I surely did last January 12th. I'm proud to share your birth month.. Don't believe these people saying your 50. Hunny you dont look a day older than 28. hahaha Take care and more power! hiope to hear from ye

Hi Ellen,

I just have to say that I think your show is not only funny, but so uplifting. No matter what kind of day I am having when I watch your show you just make me laugh and bring out such a good feeling in me that just makes the rest of the day easygoing.
I love your dancing! I think evryone who watches you waits for the music to start and even though we are not there we are still dancing with you.
Your personality is so bubbly, uplifting and real, not phoney like some people.
I'm so glad I can watch you everyday knowing that you will be there to make me laugh. The marshmallow eating was just hysterical!!!!!!!
Take care, Ann Csontos

Hi Ellen..AGAIN!

You probably don't know me, but I do! I am watching your show right now. It's pretty entertaining! You don't look 50 to me! You look like 40 years old or something? Anyways, I wish I can come to your show sometimes in my life. Too bad I cant. =[ Ellen- I WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET OUT OF SCHOOL AND SEE YOUR SHOW! Seriously! I know education is important, but so is my number one admirer! Well, I better get going. I don't want to get caught on the computer. Bye!

My son 2 and my nephew 3 loves your show so much. They ask until your show comes on, "when does Ellen come on?" The other day my nephew was in his bedroom and he heard Ellens show coming on and he ran so hard to get to the t.v. he fell. When a commercial comes on he hugs the t.v. and says "their taking Ellen over." Anytime they hear any music on your show, they have to dance. I wish you could see them, their so cute.

Ellen- I entered every day for your 12 days of Christmas give away because I have been off since October of 2006 because of seizures. I am an RN in Indiana and they still do not have them under control.I was really hoping to win that for my daughters christmas. They deserve more that we can give tham right now. I have a 17 year old girl that totaled her car in Sptember 2007,and a 15 year old girl also. I can not drive and I depend on my family to go anywhere. I am recluse. My girls laugh at me because I stay in my pajamas all day but no one sees me! But I love your show. It is a bright spot in my day and in my house because I laugh every day because of it. It is a bright spot in my time of trouble right now. Please do not read this on tv but if you could just say Hi to Shari in Indiana that would brighten my day even more. Thanks I love you Ellen.

I can also do clip-ons if need be. Check it out :) (www.erinsemporim.etsy.com)
