Hi Ellen,

Love your blond hair, blue eyes and infectious smile and want to see the real Ellen at one of your shows. I would be thrilled to bring along my friends, the Golden Girls, too. We are all retired Dietitians from Dayton, Oh. and have started taking little trips together. One of our trips could include coming to see you. We are lots of fun and would fit right in. So, send me some tickets and be prepared to rock with us oldies. Thanks and hugs.

Hi Ellen

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Hope you had a good holiday. I surely do wish I could have been a part of your 12 days of Christmas, but living in Michigan it mades it difficult to be at your show. You are one of the most generous person, now only at Christmas, but throughout the year. I love your show and can't wait for your new shows to start up again. You make me laugh and what better way to start your day, but with a big belly laugh. Keep on dancing!!!

Have a good year - Donna from Michigan

Why is it taking so long for the winners of the 12 days of Christmas? This has never happened before. Something is just not right. Some kind of explanation would be nice.

end entry

Hey Ellen, love you and your show. It seems like there are fake names on the 12 days of givaways, like: Happy Moore, Linda Carter, Brian Pizza, Rob Fogg, Kelly Twist, Linda Broccoli, Jason Ackney, Magda Abdel-Jabbar, Heny Pinto and Debbie Back. The last 4 days were never shown, but if they were I bet I'd have more "fake" names to list for you. What's up with that?? Happy New Year!!

Hi Ellen, Happy New Year to you and Portia and your beatiful mother. Just one question. Who was Big Package? If you revealed their identity I guess I missed that. Sometimes your show is pre-emted when the President is on. I watch you from C B S channel 4 in Minneapolis and you are on at 9:00 A.M. I love you and your show. I never miss it. (unless, of course, it is pre-empted) Take care and keep on keeping on.---Jan Nelson

Hi Ellen...I just love your show. Why don't you have posted the winner of the last 3 days of Christmas. I know I haven't won because surely I would have been notified by now.....or maybe I have....who knows. Anyway, keep up a very refreshing show to watch.

Hey Ellen,
I'm watching your show right now, while I'm typing. I love you and your show, and so does my 16 year old daughter, she wants to work for you in a couple years. As you can imagine, she is really much too busy to spend time with her mother, but we do watch your show together. Unless she has someone better to watch it with, then we just talk about it later, unless she has someone better to talk to. Well you get it, your show is one thing we have in common to talk about, your show and The Hills, those girls are somthing.
Keep it up Ellen, we love you and someday hope to make it to your show.

Hey Ellen,
My name is Brenda Perry and I am from Knoxville, TN. I am your biggest fan and enjoy watching your show. Your show is the only talk show I watch on a regular basis. The only other show that I watch, once in a blue moon, is The Tonight Show.
I love your show because of your humor, and your kindness toward others and the way you get everybody dancing and the dancing is contageous. I can't help myself, when the music starts I have to get up and dance right along with you and try to imatate some of the moves. The world needs more people like you who express kindness to others the way that you do. When my husband, Robert, is home early he also watches your show with me and laughs as hard as I do.
Ellen, one of my dreams is to take a trip outside of our state and visit your TV studio and watch one of your shows in person and to shake your hand and get your autograph.
I have been out of work for a year due to and on the job enjury. But if I get able to work again I do plan on saving the money for this vacation and see you in person.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you for making the world a better place to live in and most of all, thank you for the laughs. God bless you.
Brenda Perry of Knoxville, Tennessee
I want you to know that when I can't watch your show when it airs I set the DVR to record it so that I can watch it when I get home.

poise, grace, flexibility and fashion. And what a
great smile! :)

Ellen, I just want to tell you that the shows that you did in your bed, because of your back problems brought back a lot of memories for me. I have had 7 back surgies and spent a lot of time in bed, or the couch, or the recliner and in a staight back chair. I just wanted to say that all your shows and your guests are memoriable. But it took a lot for you to do your show when we all knew you were hurting, that to me is the most memorable to me, no not the hurting part, you doing your show in your bed. I look forward to watching your show every day on WCCO in Minnesota, I live in Wisconsin but get it over here in the Cheese Head Country. One little request, well they are big, but maybe sometime you might have Tom Selleck or Sam Elliot as one of your guests. I am their age or close, and they can eat crackers in my bed anytime, just don't tell my husband, and will have to wait till I get the vaccum fixed.Hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Be watching at you at 9:00am tomorrow. Love you and your show. Take care, and say HI to your mom.

Hey Ellen,

Just a note to say thanks for sharing yourself with others on and off your show. It's great that you can give to others that can't or don't have the things that you and others do. The season is for giving and that's the main reason for the season.
This year we had to give our baby (pug baby) to others. Not to others here on earth but to others above. My Oscar, our pug baby, just turned 18 in Aug. I went and got him as a rescue baby which we were going to foster, and ended up keeping him. That was 11 years ago. When we got him he had only one eye, was 38 pounds and had pneumonia. He was leary but full of love. This love grew and we loved him like one of our own 2 legged children. Not long ago, Oscar was diagnosed with Lymphoma. With his age it wouldn't have been fair to him to do Kemo or other cancer fighting drugs. We did give him Prednazone and that helped for a short time, but not for long enough.

These pug creatchers come into your life and snag your heart like no other. This holiday season is one that is soon not to be forgotten. It is with a very very heavy heart, tears in my eyes and soul, that I said goodbye to my dear Oscar puggie. Oscar has been a big part of my, our, lives for a long time now. Being my first pug baby, is making this extra hard to swallow. I
miss him dearly already and will soon not loose the ache I'm feeling deep down.
Oscar ate well his last night but at aroung 10 pm started to fail. He went lathargic and couldn't hardly get up. His cancer progressed very repidly and he couldn't even swallow water. I was giving him water via a syringe during the night and he could hardly take it in. I was up with him all night and just listened to his breathing. I talked to him all night and gave him
soft pettings and kisses. You could see in his one and only eye, that he was slipping away. How hard it was to see him in the sad failing stage he had gotten to. I went to work (at Care Center Vet.) and they were all still sleeping. I called Ken (my husband) around 9 and he was just getting up after being awake most of the night. Called again around 11 am and we made the hard decision to let him go. Ken brought him to me at work and I'm glad there were no other clients in the office. We sudated him to make sure he went to sleep with absolutly no pain. Then let him slip away with mom by him, taking to him and kissing him goodbye. I told him I loved him and how good of a boy he was, told him to go night night and I would see him again. Then the moment I was not ready for, his bady was still and my heart was heavier then ever felt before. I prayed to Bubba (our Boston Terrier we had lost years past) to come and get my sweet Oscar and walk him to his new and final home. I thought I would feel relief but just felt heavy aching.
Now we are at 1 less pug, that's such an odd way of thinking now. You are like myself, these 4 legged creatures are like our own babies and this is really hard for me. It was all I could do to let my first pug baby go.
You may wonder why I choose to write this to you. It's because I know you are soft hearted with these babies and share the same feelings as I do. Not many in your area of work think the way we do and with your help and concern with the rescue you recently had involvement in, should be appreciated for your actions. Rescues are such a great way to help the canine community. Our hearts are always at risk, and the risk is well worth taking.
Thank you again for your help in this and all areas in which you help others.
Here's to a warm and healthy holiday season, not only to you but to all of yours.

Hi Ellen

Not sure if these go through. I tried to sign up for the giveaway as you mentioned on your show today. No luck! Then I posted a note that it was ok because as a teacher I get joy in the Christmas spirit every day because I teach high school kids and watch there progress.

But I changed my mind! I really would like some cool stuff. But it's ok.

I do hope you get this link fixed. It's exciting when you think you have a chance to win something.

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas.
