30 Seconds To Air


It was just before the show when Ellen noticed a giant pane of plate glass leaning against the wall. "This is very dangerous. Somebody could walk right through this," Ellen said to herself. So, putting the safety of her guests and backstage crew above her need to get in her "Hosting" mode, Ellen single handedly moved the giant pane of glass out of the way. Hi Ellen,

You are such a wonderful host! I just wanted to tell you how your show can turn a bad day to a good one. I wish you all the best. I will definitely go to your studio and watch the show when i visit the U.S.

I hope to see more talented kids on your show. That girl Charice was very talented! she made me cry seeing her and hearing her sing on your show.

You are AWESOME!!!!!!!

Hi Ellen,

One December 18th, yesterday at almost 5:00 pm, I was leaving an apartment building after tutoring one of my students. I hadn't been there before and I guess I wasn't watching where I was going. I smacked right into a glass window thinking it was an open door. It hurt for a few minutes and I was wondering where my mind was that I let that happen. I thought your 30 seconds to air on that date was such a coincidence. I love these 30 sec to air write ups. The writer does a great job.

ELLEN I JUST GOT HOME FROM WORK AND WATCHED VIDEO OF THE DAY. IT MADE ME CRY THAT GIRL THAT SINGS IS OUT OF THIS WORLD. SHE IS GREAT!!!! THE LADY THAT WINS THE MONEY, WAS JUST THE BEST. Hi Ellen -
I watch your show on occasion. I think you're a hoot. I never write to shows (this is truly my first letter/comment). However, I'm dying to know what the heck happened on your show today about the sister reunion? You brought this poor girl (who works for your show) on stage, told her you found her long lost sister, and tells her she has a twin for that matter, and then the show cuts immediately to something else. Then you don't mention anything for the rest of the show. What@?!? Either something horrible happened backstage or the producers are awfully cruel. I hope it was not the ladder.

Dear Ellen, " Happy Holidays ". I just wanted to say that I have watched you since the Johnny Carson show, and you have always made me laugh. But I wanted to let you know that you also make me CRY! Your good heart and respect for all, sometimes makes me cry and realize that there are still good REAL people in the world.You just seem to make my day better. I also get to dance 5 days a week without being alone(ro feeling foolish).You are like a friend that I don't really know. Hi Ellen,

I have been watching your show since it first began. I LOVE IT!!! I worked at a job, where we were able to watch tv in our office, THANK GOD FOR THAT!! LOL - you really got our day going! I have now been layed off for 2 months and watch your show every day! You really help keep me from getting down about my situation. I worked at my previous job for 10 years!!! I will have to start tivoing your show when I find another job. I just wanted to say, "THANK YOU FOR YOUR SHOW and have a WONDERFUL HOLIDAY SEASON and a GREAT NEW YEAR!!!" - God Bless!

Hi Ellen thank you for having the best show on tv.I watch your show every day in the morning if I have to go and pick my neighbour up from her swimming exercize class. I have been watching your show and really enjoy it. You are one of the real troppers you are there when your hurting. When you hurt your back you were there entertaining the people even thou you were hurting. I have a bad back so I know how painful it is. I use to watch another talk show but got tired of all the hollyer than thou attitude. You are real and are a giver not wanting anything in return but to see someone happy, thats what giving is all about. You are real. Thank you for being there. hey ellen,
my names laura from melbourne australia and i watch your show religiously.
there isnt a day that goes by where ellens not on our tv.
from the start i followed the story of chris bryant and his ability to jump over a car,
as i am jewish what you did for him we jews call a mitzva.
i have a confession to make i am only 17 years old,
and i seem to have a massive crush on striker so handsome and bold
i often show my friends extracts from the show,
now many of them are regulars i want you to know.
its not as easy for me to fly up and appear on ellen as it is quite far from down under,
in australia christmas is sunny and hot not even a speck of thunder.
loving the 12 days of giveaways (i didnt even have to make up my own rhyme for that.thanks :)
