30 Seconds To Air


"Oh, not you again," Ellen thought to herself as the back stage photographer snapped another surprise candid shot. "I think she's starting to get tired of me," the back stage photographer thought to himself. Then he blurted out, "Sorry, it's my job." "I understand," Ellen sighed. "People want to know what I'm doing just before the show. Even if all I'm doing is standing backstage waiting. I know, I'll make a really crazy face so the photo will be more interesting." "Great! Thank you, Ellen." The photographer gushed.

At that point, Ellen made one of the funniest faces she's ever made. Unfortunately the camera jammed and Andy couldn't get the photo. But then, it was too late to get another one because it was already ...30 Seconds To Air.

Hello Ellen, I just entered your 12 days contest, I'm the one who is 60 and has all used appliance's, who'd like to have one or two new one's before I die in 20 or 30 years. The used one's have been great life savers for me but I'd like a washer and dryer that I didn't have to tie down or use a screw driver to opperate. And besides I would love to see you or talk to you on the phone. Never the less, I hope your Christmas Holidays are the Merriest and the Brightest possible. Your Fan Doryce (Doris)

Hi Ellen

I have a suggestion, why don't you and Stryker learn the Soldier Boy Dance together and do it on the air. I like that dance myself, I actually tried it at this bar I go to sometimes. This youngster played the song and I ask her to get up and show me how to do it, she was really good, myself...well not soooo...good. But I tried and she really enjoyed seeing an older woman trying a very young dance like that. I'm 51, one year younger than you. Oh, wait a minute now, you won't be 50 until January. Well when you get there, I want to be the first to welcome you the 50 Club.

I tape your show every day while I'm at work, as soon as I get home put my 40oz Miller in the freezer, do my chores, kitty litter, etc. Then I pour my beer in a froze mug, sit down and watch your show, don't want to miss a minute of it. When you dance me and my daughter Pizmo dance also, Pizmo is my 9 year old cat.

Hope you, Porscha and your Mom have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. Sorry for spelling your honeys name wrong.

You are my favorite person in the whole world. You make me smile, laugh and you truley are a part of my everyday life. I have your new book and it's is great as well. I want to thank you for not having "repeats" during the writer's strike. You have expressed that you support the writers but you are able to give a GREAT show without them; you are a true performer. How come Leno and Letterman cannot put on a show without writers? Didn't they used to write material for others????????????

Keep up the new material especially during the upcoming holidays. Who wants to hear OLD NEWS and about past holidays like Memorial Day, Labor Day etc........

Ellen, You are a vvery special lady. I find myself laughing and crying while I watch your show every day. You help so many people I wish I qualified too but there are so many others in need. You have a big heart Ellen, you are loved by so many and you deserve it too
