Hi ellen,

I wanted to first of all say thank you. It doesn't matter how bad of day I am having I watch your show and it always makes me forget for the hour that it is on how hard my life has become. This has been the hardest 3 years of my life, I got divorced well 3 years ago last week. I have been in the lowest of lows and I am trying my hardest to work my way back up alittle. I am a single mom of a 4 yr old boy. When I left my exhusband well needless to say it wasn't a very good relationship. I left with just a few things. I have had to start all over again. I have not made the best decisions in the past and so everyday I have to try to redeem myself. I live in a small 1 bedroom apartment and let me tell you it is small. I drive an older car that I pray everyday will start for me. I work 2 jobs. I don't get to see my son as much as I would love to because of this, but I just can't afford not to. I live paycheck to paycheck and I don't have any extra to spend on anything other then the things I need to live. Every year I dread this time...my son will tell me what he wants for Christmas and every year I just can't afford to do it. I won't even decorate if I know that I he won't be there. It just breaks my heart to know that I have this perfect little boy who loves me with all his heart no matter what and I can't afford to get him the things he wants or needs. Is there anyway that you could help me put a smile on my son's face this year, it would mean the world to me? Thank you again for making me just forget about things and smile everyday for that one hour.

Hi Ellen,
I watch the show everyday and i see how much you love what you are doing. Aim asking for help for my kids, because i have been working two jobs for the last two years just to try to get ahead. But now this year i lost the one job that i got paid better then the other one. Now iam having a hard time paying any of my bills and my house payment. The hardist thing is now it is starting to snow here in Minnesota and i don't even have enough money to get my kids warm cloths to wear. My son is in 10th grade in school and he has been wearing shorts everyday to school. My daughter has been wearing pants with holes in. And my son's warm jacket from last year doesn't fit him any more so he doesn't even have a warm jacket to wear. My daughter's jacket has a broken zipper in it, and she is in 11th grade. Kids their age make fun of them because they don't have any new cloths, and that my son is wearing shorts, so he just tells them that he is hot so he doesn't need to wear pants. I fell so bad asking for help but i have asked so many people and all they have to say is sell the house before they sell it for you because i can't make the all of the payments each month. I no a lot of people ask you for help all the time but iam hoping you will help my kids and me. My home needs alot of work done to it before i could even think of selling it and i don't have the money for that anyway. I have a heart problem that some time down the road i will have to have surgury but i have no idea when that will be. I really dont know what to get them for Christmas because i don't have money for that, but they need something. Please help Thank you Nancy........

I love watching your show every morning. I find you are a very caring person. I'm disabled unable to work and you bring so much joy to me and my husband. I've had three different kinds of cancer, but thank GOD I'm cancer free. I find you are one of the most caring people I've seen on TV. Most of the TV host seem fony and put on; I don't see that with you. I really would like to go and see your show. May GOD richly bless you and your family. Christmas is my favorit time of the year. Hi Ellen,
I just wanted to tell you that I am recovering from a back operation. I had cancer in my spine and one day I just stopped walking. I was rushed to the hospital and operated on. I did not know that I would not be able to walk after the operation and I ended up in two rehab organizations where they bearly taught me to walk and then they sent me home when my medical benefits ran out. I live alone and have to do all of my cooking and cleaning myself. Being in a wheelchair it was very difficult to do these things. I also had to wear a brace made of a hard plastice that went all the way around my body from my neck to my waist. I had to wear this thing all the time when I was out of bed. I wore it from November to April. You could probably do a skit about it. I had therapist at home to help me exercise. But the best thing of all was watching your show every day. I went from a wheelchair to a walker and during my time in the walker I decided to dance with you. I just swayed back and forth when I started but then I really began to dance. I lifted my feet off the ground, moved around a little and danced and danced and danced. That is when I started to really walk without my walker and with my four prong cane. I was able to drive my car and get out of the house by myself. I want to Thank You so much for helping me during that time. If it were not for you, I probably would still be house bound and using my walker. I walk without my cane when I am in my home and I walk with a regular cane when I am outside of the house now.
That little wonderful few minutes on your show that you use to dance is wonderful therapy.

my friend in Rome (Professor), who had to stay in a hospital came out - unfortunatly she has a bad desease (M.S.), but I could bring her the news of your lunch, your thoughts and so on and she started laughing...after a hard time her first ha,ha,ha...
Your fan from Naples gave me the advice (in that chat) to click on your pictures of your lunch, so I am able to send them to Rome and bring some fun to my friend there, too. Please go on and eat, we love your cook (even thought you are eating meat.)
