Susan who posted a rude comment on November 18, 2007 6:11 AM really should understand all the details before making you out to be the bad guy. I don't think she undeerstands the Love you have for your writer's. I know that had your contract not forced you to work you would be out on the picket lines.

Hi Ellen,

On your show with Janice Wolf she said that her Zebra use to have sezures but with diet the zebra is fine now. I have a Husky-Lab mix who when he turned 5 yrs old started having sezures and I have been trying to find information on how to help him. It is so frightening to see him have them. I'm hoping Janice could share her wisdom on this awful sickness.

Thank you,
April

PS Don't let people that judge get you down! :)

I think Janice is just awesome. She gives so much of herself to provide for her "misfits". I think Lerch may be one of the most diverse animals I've every seen.
She so deserved some help. I know a person like her is sitting back in Awww because of what you were able to make happen for her. Go Ellen!

Ellen Love,

My proposal is ready. I've located a nice B&B for the weekend. I'll bring you breakfast in bed. I'm waiting for your answer Love. It depends, I don't have a reservation yet.

Love, HoneyBunny.

Ellen!!!!

I love this show!!! I like the fact that she is there for the abandoned..... the unwanted animals. The underdogs... she is indeed a savior/angel.

I want to give her money as she is doing a great service. You can tell she really does love them and they love her as well. Yes... they realize how lucky they are and love where they are and are thankful for her and that they have found her ... or that she found them... or that a greater scheme of things has brought them together to perhaps enhance not only their lives but her life as well as she states she'd rather not be anywhere else.

I love animals too and whenever I see that you are having an animal themed show... I LOVE IT!!!!. I always look forward to those shows not that I don't look forward to your show everday.. its just when theirs going to be animals on ... I'm like... ALRIGHTY!!!! COOL!!! They .. animals are soo cute and they won't stab you in the back. If I had a perfect job it would probably be dealing with animals all day. I can see where she loves where she's at and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Its therapeutic for her and for the animals. I guess anywhere where you are appreciated/valued and loved is a good place to be... where you are making a difference. Sad that humans can't be that open where it is like that everywhere. Someones always has to put in their negativity. Are animals negative???/ I guess thats my point... can you have a bad day around animals???? I can't.

Love your show ... ELLEN!!!!

Hugs,
T

No problem for me, Ellen.

It's easy to see the distinction between your contract obligation as a performer and your membership in the Guild. You're not breaking ranks as a Guild member - we all saw you skip that program to show solidarity.

Don't be put off by the tunnel-vision critics. We love you as a performer and we'll love you again as a writer when the strike is settled.

I loved the story on Janice Wolf! What an amazing woman. Yea you for finding someone to help her out. You are able to make so much difference in people's lives.
As for the writters strike, I think you are handeling it with class. A contract is a contract. Plus, your shows brighten my day. Everyday.I appreciate you trying to RESPECTIVELY work around the strike and keep the writters in mind, as well.

Ellen and staff-
Ditto to the sentiments from this writer. I couldn't have said it better. I, too, am an animal lover and so enjoyed watching your guest Janice Wolf. I loved it when she said her life with her animals was priceless.
Thanks for all you do and for making us smile for just being you.
Respectfully-
Brenda

Quote: I don't think I hae been more impressed with any of your guests than I was with Janice Wolf. Wouldn't the world be a wonderful place with more people like Janice. I would think that you and Janice would make a superb team to be advocates for the world's precious animals! I hope that you will keep in contact with her and make her in some way a more permanent part of your show! I am such a huge lover of animals, so you and Janice both hold a special place in my heart! Thanks for everything you do in the name of our furry friends!

Hi Ellen, you make my day. Thanks for being you. Happy thanksgiving. Vicki Pollina Haverhill, Massachusetts

Dear Ellen,
I just wanted to thank you for all you do. I know you fill my life with laughter. I'm in a wheel chair and I don't get out much. You bring me along on all your trips and video's. You fill everyday with adveture because I never know what your going to do next. So keep doing what your doing and thank you from the bottom of my heart

Sencerely

P.S. I wouldn't mind winning a prize.

I am a little more than disappointed. Not only am I not able to see your show that I won tickets to in NY (writer's strike) but you never posted or said anything on your show that you cancelled your trip.
I found out by reading a gossip column in my local paper. I understand you cancelling but you really should have told the people who won tickets (do you know how long people try to get tickets for your show?) what was going on.
Keep on being funny - it won't stop me from watching because I really enjoy you but I am truly unhappy.

Hi, I have just unsubscribed from your newsletter and will not watch your show any more because you chose to sign a contract that you claim makes you work during the writer's strike. It is difficult enough for worker's in this country that need their unions to help them in their fight to earn a living wage but to have high profile workers like yourself not willing to be inconvienced to help lower paid workers is more than I can bear to watch. If you are a member of the WGA and hire nonunion workers then shame on you. I read somewhere that Oprah hires nonunion writers, too. She doesn't need me to watch, either. I am getting ready to reduce my tv viewing as soon as reruns start. I am irritated with the producer's who cannot see that they need to share the wealth or maybe there will not be any wealth to share if people like me decide to move on and leave tv & movies behind although I could never leave behind HALLMARK HALL OF FAME MOVIES! Good luck. I thought better of you. Susan
