Help Your Local Animal Shelter! Join the Zootoo House Shelter Makeover Project Today!
Zootoo House is launching the first-ever Shelter Makeover Program in America. We will provide funding for 20 animal shelters across the country to make much needed architectural improvements. One of the top 20 shelters will receive a makeover valued up to One Million Dollars.

Animal Shelters can win the makeover valued up to One Million Dollars by encouraging their local communities to become active on www.zootoo.com, the first opinion-sharing website that allows all pet lovers to help each other by sharing their knowledge. The 20 shelters that accumulate the most points between October 1, 2007 and March 31, 2008 will be eligible to win the makeover or runners-up cash prizes.

The Zootoo House Advisory Board, which consists of Richard Thompson, Zootoo Founder and Top Cat, Bill Meade from the Shelter Planners of America, and Wayne Pacelle, President of the Humane Society of the United States will personally visit each of the 20 shelters to evaluate their needs. The shelter deemed most deserving will win a makeover valued up to One Million Dollars.

I like your upbeat show. Keep it up!
But please keep the roar of the audiance down.
They need to learn some manners.

Hi Ellen! What ever happened to your Date With the Rock contest? Will you be airing who won? (Darn lucky girl, whoever she may be!) Thanks!

Hey Ellen ...just wanted to wish you and your staff a Happy New Year! In case you are curious, my resolution this year is to accept the date with Dwayne when you call! And you know what? If you don't pick me then... well, I would have an entire year to go though with an unfulfilleds resolution...oh how sad is that..not to mention ackward because people ALWAYS seem to ask and I'd hate to have to explain that I HAD A RESOLUTION and that you didn't pick me which basically prevented my resolution from become a REALITY. Just HOW MANY other do you think picked THIS as their new year resolution?!? I am pretty sure that I am the only one. With that said and no pressure intended... you should probably just pick me...since my resolution is riding on it and what not...Thank you!!! Love your show! ~Karen

Subject: FW: Parrot Joke

A young man named John received a parrot as a gift. The parrot had a bad attitude and an even worse vocabulary. Every word out of the bird's mouth was rude, obnoxious and laced with profanity.

John tried and tried to change the bird's attitude by consistently saying only polite words, playing soft music and anything else he could think of to "clean up" the bird's vocabulary.

Finally, John was fed up and he yelled at the parrot. The parrot yelled back. John shook the parrot and the parrot got angrier and even ruder. In desperation, John threw up his hands, grabbed the bird and put him in the freezer.

For a few minutes the parrot squawked and kicked and screamed. Then suddenly there was total quiet. Not a peep was heard for over a minute. Fearing that he'd hurt the parrot, John quickly opened the door to the freezer.

The parrot calmly stepped out onto John's outstretched arms and said, "I believe I may have offended you with my rude language and actions. I'm sincerely remorseful for my inappropriate transgressions and I fully intend to do everything I can to correct my rude and unforgivable behavior."

John was stunned at the change in the bird's attitude. As he was about to ask the parrot what had made such a dramatic change in his behavior, when the bird continued, "May I ask what the turkey did?"

HAPPY THANKSGIVING...

Feelings are never wrong and should always be validated!

Just wanted to share my philosophy on life. Thought you might appreciate.

I went to sit on my back steps
While talking on the phone.
What happened next startled me
‘cause I thought I was alone.

Something fell on my foot
And I looked up to see
A little bird looking down as if
He had intentionally aimed at me.

When I went to clean it off my foot
I noticed with despair
My knee had something on it.
He had also hit me there.

I looked up again at my friend the bird
I shook my fist and yelled,
“you ever do that again
and I will really give you hell.”

What was that look upon his face?
Could it be a grin?
It’s a good thing he was out of reach
or it would have been the end of him.

When I thought the whole thing through
I guess is was good luck.
It was just a little bird
And it could have been a duck!

I saw the show with hayden panettiere talking about the dolphins in Japan. I can't remember the last time I cried so hard. I would like to help but I can't find anything on the website. Would you please send me the info? Thank you so much for letting people know about this horrible situation.

Ellen- i think you are great, you make me laugh. i often have to tell my husband about your show when he comes home from work. Keep doing good- I might be a sucker but i realy believe you are as nice as you are on TV. There are good people in the world and at least in my mind you are one of them.

James Taylor was talking about North Carolina when he Carolina in my Mind. His family lived in Chapel Hill, NC.

I was reading Abilene Reporter News paper (Texas) (November 16th Morning paper) and there is a story about a group of people in a small town O'Brien Tx. trying to help castaway pets. I saw your show on the 15th of November and thought of the people wanting to help castaway animals maybe they could send some help to O'Brien Tx? Thanks

any news from or about Gladys?

Maybe you ought to sob, cry and carry on and ask this outfit to build a small kennel(without any strings attached) for Mutts and Moms who you intentionally destroyed. Now because of you, more dogs are going to die because they cannot be rescued. And you call yourself an animal lover? Hmmmm...maybe you should have thought out your actions a little better beforehand...

Hi Ellen,

I watched your show yesterday and was so happy to see that you are promoting Zootoo! I just had to write and tell you how much I enjoyed your interview with Janice. I could not stop laughing at her animals and it was such a positive thing to feature on your show. Kudos to zootoo for caring enough to visit her and make specific changes that would improve the housing of these animals, this personal touch is what sets zootoo apart. I volunteer at Second Chance Animal Shelter and we are currently #7 with the Zootoo contest. I know you have been through a lot recently and I thought you might enjoy a story we have posted about a wonderful reunion and happy ending with one of our senior dogs "Bear". I was his foster mom and could not be more happy with the outcome :) Check it out, zootoo.com

Wake Up Call!! Love Maroon5!!! Adam Lavigne is so cute, I love all their songs. The Rock was great but I would never be able to hold any spiders, esp. a Tarantula! Yuck!! It is nothing like holding a kitten.

November 15's show was great, I think the goose was the big star of the day!! He was so funny and cute!!

Love your show Ellen, keep dancing and making us laugh. Don't let the handful of jerks get you down. You have much more fans than "nay sayers"!

Your loyal fan,

denise :]

I missed part of the segment on Thurs.regarding the woman who lives in Arkensas, that takes in animals, who are in need of help. I'd like to obtain information where I may send a donation to help her. Anyone who is willing to give, as this woman has done, is a saint in my eyes! I know you're an animals lover, as am I, hence I'd be delighted to obtain this information. Thank you so much for lifting my spirits everyday (yes, that implies I watch your show everyday because I do).

Thanks and Best Regards. Love your show, you're so talented! An Advid Watcher

Thanks for having zootoo on. My shelter- Rockingham County Animal Shelter- has signed up for the makeover contest. If you saw the pictures you would defintely say we needed it. I hope people will look & sign up to support a shelter in their area or even our shelter. WE DO NEED HELP. Thanks again Ellen for bringing this to light.

Melissa

My daughter was talking long distance today when the segment with Janice was airing. I was laughing so hard my daughter had to leave the room. The dog and goose got me to laughing I could barely get my breath. Then the goat was in the middle of it all. That was so funny!!!! You couldn't have done better if you had planned it. You can tell that the animals just love her. What a wonderful story to tell......thanks.
Susie :-))

I would love to see Ellen do a makeover for Mutts & Moms, the dog rescue that she singlehandedly shut down. Dogs in the county shelter that Mutts & Moms used to rescue are now dying because they can't take them off of death row anymore. If Ellen really does care about animals, she'd do whatever she can to help this rescue get back on its feet and continue its selfless work.

I would love to help the group that you've partnered with by joining their team to design new barns and other facilities for rescued animals! I would love to start contributing to an organization that's doing such a worthwhile and desperately needed job by helping those who have chosen to dedicate their lives to animals and their wellbeing. I'm a true southern girl (Atlanta, Georgia - holla!!!) and think I can bring alot to this organization. Ellen, I love your show and think you're doing an awesome job in keeping us informed, entertained and most importantly you keep us dancin and I love it!!!Bye.......

Hi I am looking for a man named Nathan and his friend from Canada. We met on Tuesday at the taping for Thursday's show with the Rock and Maroon 5.
