I would suggest Ellen try cooking for herself from the cookbook, How It All Vegan, by Sarah Kramer, a Canadian.
She has changed the lives of many of us who want to eat well but dont have the where-with-all to do it on our own. Plus, she really lives veganism.
Try her books then have her on the show.

After trying unsuccessfully to email a few of the options available on the "be on the show" link, i will try this. I have been a home health aid for a young man in our community, that was tragically paralyzed in a high school football game several years ago. This young man is an inspiration to many, talking to local school children and adults in the area about how anything is possible if you believe. He will tell people that this injury was a blessing, because he was counting on a football career as his way of making a life for himself. Instead, he now has use of nothing except for his brain and a fabulous spirit. So, the reason i am writing is because i hope you can help. He will be graduating from college this spring, and desperately craves some independence. One of the ways this is possible is by having a trained dog to help him. Unfortunately, the cost is more then he or his family can provide. So...... i thought that he would be an inspirational person, that people might like to learn about on your show, and that maybe the dog service group would catch wind of it and help in some way with the dog, as a way of spreading the word on their business. Please contact me if you can help. I am willing to be part of any crazy game or embarrass myself in any way to help him out.

I just got done watching your show today and I wanted to go to your website to do a couple things and when I would click on a link nothing would show up. I finally played around on the website and was able to find this. The only way I am able to do anything in the way to find out what might be wrong is by typing here. I clicked on the link "be on the show" and then I wanted to go into a couple of them and like I said it didn't work. Does anyone have any idea what is happening. I don't have anything like that blocked, but I just don't know what is going on. HELP!! I will keep trying and hope it works one of these days.

I was hoping that Ellen would receive this month for her birthday a hand beaded tie that i made just for her. I sent it August 14, 2007 and i am so hoping she will receive it tomorrow on her birthday or sometime this month since Ellen is so amazing and I would just love for her to see what I made for her with my very own hands that has over 50 hours of bead loving for her.
