does anyone know what song Ellen danced to on the November 18th, 2008 show? It was the show with Hugh Laurie as the guest (House)?

Thanks

Folks,

Allow me to set the record straight about Enzo's first national television appearance.

Enzoology started only eight weeks ago The concept and idea for the show came from Enzo. He also named the show. We posted it on YouTube with no intentions. We immediately had an overwhelmingly positive response so we created www.enzoology.com.

Enzo just turned seven a couple months ago. He has never before been in front of an audience, on TV or made a presentation. He is not a media personality. He's just a little kid who wants to share his enthusiasm for science with other kids.

Ellen's producers called us. We did not solicit this appearance. They called us the night before the taping and needed us to fly out to LA in the morning. Enzo was up at 5am, spent four hours on the plane, three more in the hotel and four hours locked down in the green room. Enzo was nervous and very excited by the time he went to the stage.

The producers promised a rehearsal. They did not deliver on this promise. They also ran down the questions they were going to ask with Enzo and Ellen didn't follow this either. His parents were not allowed to accompany him - until we protested and insisted, and then only one of us were allowed to be with him backstage.

If you watch the clip, you will see Enzo attempting to answer questions - he gets two words out and Ellen fires another question/joke - never allowing Enzo to answer. Further derailing the appearance, Ellen acts afraid of the animals at one point telling Enzo to "leave the snake in" - so Enzo does what she asks. Later, he told me he didn't want to scare her by bringing the critters out.

Getting laughs were obviously more important than showcasing Enzo's knowledge. In fact, when Enzo gave Ellen a gift of a 150 million year old fossil, instead of using this as an opportunity to ask about it, she made a joke.

Enzo did thank Ellen for the gifts at the end of the segment. They were a total surprise.

To Ellen's defense, it was clear that the writer's strike had tossed a wrench into their machine. They did the best they could under the circumstances and we are grateful for the opportunity.

Enzoology is not about a kid genius (although you might be surprised at his knowledge if you spoke to him in person) it is about a super enthusiastic, happy kid who wants to share his excitement about science with other kids.

This is all very new to all of us. Eight weeks ago we would have never dreamed that our son would have thousands of fans around the world including many teachers who are using Enzoology in the classroom. That the Entomology curator for the University of Texas would take Enzo under his wing and open his lab to him.

Enzoology recently became an official fund raising organization for the Lance Armstrong Foundation - fighting cancer.

I wish those of you who feel a need to tear down a second grader could make an appearance in front of a live audience and millions more people watching on TV. I wonder how you would have done?

I feel sorry for those of you who are so cynical they can't see a beautiful, smart little boy who has so much to share. You're life must be a dreary, cold place.

I think people are being a little hard on Enzo. He's a little boy on a talk show with a funny commedienne. He's going to giggle. That does not mean he does not know what he is doing or does not have an interest in what he is doing. I'm sure after being in a room for several hours before actually being on the show, he was a little tired. Also, some kids just need a little more time with no interruptions to answer questions - especially with being in front of a lot of people.

Dear Ellen.
Loving your show goes with out saying,I tape it every day. You have such a huge heart and it shows. While watching the show with the Pet Rescue Lady in Arkansas, I went from laughing to crying thru the entire thing.
Now Poor Enzo, I went to his web site,it is not much different from his performance on your show. If his parents are making money on this they are both a genius. I dont know about bugs but know more about bugs.
And you asked... Celine Dion. I have watched her from her beginnings and love her music. But she struck me as being so full of her self. I did not like the way she talked to you.You were being funny and she was sarcastic.
Well anyway you have had 699 shows and this was the only one that I just had to comment. And none of it was your fault. Mostly I wanted to tell you a person would be pretty darn lucky to have you as a friend, even if you were not famous. Thanks for stirring up my emotions. Oh I am the one who sent in my pet frog picture who lives in a blender in my kitchen.. Happy Holidays and Dance. Melony

Dear Ellen,

Any Chance I can get you to help out my friend, She lives with a chronic pain disorder and epilepsy and she don't get a chance to get out to often and she lives in a pretty tiny apartment so her TV and her computer are her only sanity. Both of them have been junk picked from the curb and both belong on the curb.Though you won't hear her complain as she grew up homeless most of her life. She just threw her dvd player out as it quit working and she just had her cable turned off as she could not afford it any more she lives on disability and just can't afford to have it. She will probably be loosing her online service shorlty too. With her disabilities depression is great and with christmas being so close it is the absolutly last thing she needs right now. With all of your connections is there any way you can hook her up with santa's bag of gifts to keep her spirits up as she will be spending the season alone this year. She is a big fan of yours and I'd like to keep her a big fan of yours for a long time.

A caring friend
Lots of love
Have A good

Enzo Monfre...he was a bust and I felt so bad for you. He hardly spoke two words. Another thing that really irks me when kids guest on your show, you give them something and they don't say thank you. Kids with no manners...grrrr! Didn't someone teach these kids manners?
"Elly" (Your tv. father on ELLEN, used to call you that. You do have a great singing voice even if you don't think so. When Stryker and his friend remixed you singing your Emmy song, I wish that coulda been made into a single...I'm serious, you have a great voice. Ever thought of singing professionally??
I have to add one last comment about "anonymous"....I don't care what she/he said about your explanation of the writer's strike. I'm thinking this person doesn't know the real Ellen. I mean....if she or he doesn't like you, then why watch??

Enzo's parents must be great editors and extremely proud of his curly hair, but he's not quite TV material. I felt sorry for Ellen for having to sit through the interview. I was lucky and was able to fast forward. He would be a big hit at our local elementary school. Perhaps he should work on his act for a few years. This situation reminds me of the kids who win science fair competitions but can't explain their exhibit.

Sorry that my grandson Matthew Manning, age 12, oa Lansing, Iowa, wasn't chosen to be on your show this coming week to share his turkey calling skills. After watching the youngster giggle his way through your show with the snakes, spiders, etc.., I think that some more mature acting kids might be an improvement. Of course, I am biased though!

In defence of Enzo.
We were cooped up in an 8x10 foot room for 4 hours with Enzo and his parents. We all went a little stir crazy.

Hey Ellen!

I have watched your show all season, When I am not home to watch them I tape them and watch them when I get there... I have not heard you say anything about the lady that you used to call all the time and you had doing your intro... can't remember her name? Dorris or Doreen maybe??? Anyway, I was wondering if you knew how she is and why she is not a part of your show this season, I loved it when she was on... she reminded me of my Grandma who is a hoot....
She sounded like the woman that used to give advice on Jay Leno- she had some web thing going around, she was a charachter as well if you never saw her, you should check her out- She would definitely make you laugh!!!

Love your show and all that you do...
Happy Thanksgiving

Is the show on for New York on or off. I got tickets.

Hallo Everybody

you know
dont never believe what somebody write of said
its not always the treu
is it the treu than is it not our busines

I READ YOUR REASONS FOR CONTINUING YOUR SHOW DURING THE WRITERS STRIKE. I FOUND THEM FEEBLE AND SELF-SERVING AND TO ME AND MOST PEOPLE AROUND THE COUNTRY IS IT PAINFUL TO SEE YOU TAKE ON THE LABEL OF 'SCAB'. BUD

Are people on here writing in some kind of code???? Gerrie.....Trudy....... WWWHHAAATTTT??????

Enzo was just awful. Hope his parents help him for future interviews if he is even worthy of being interviewed. He came across as having no knowledge and a bit ADD and silly. Not entertaining at all.

Soooooo....where's Ellen? There's no one, on the stage cam, but there's a new show, each day. Is she doing the shows from an "undisclosed location?"
I'm confused.
