Actually, Ellen is singled out because she is the only one of these three who is a member of the WGA and, as such, is supposed to be striking.

Ellen, I am so sorry to hear the grief you are getting for your decision concerning the writers strike. Do they even know you enough to make the assumptions about your reasons? It seems hard for them to think that anyone is motivated by anything but money. They project their own feelings on you, unable to imagine others may be motivated by empathy and integrity.
I find it interesting that they choose you to attact though Oprah and Dr. Phil are doing the same thing. I think it's because they are cowards. You are the easiest target. Oprah's a force to be reconned with and who is going to take on Dr. Phil with his psychological sophistication and demanding presence and verbally assaultive abilities. That leaves you to be the scape goat. I'm so sorry.
This may seem crazy, but I can feel your sadness when I'm watching the show now. As you said today, this to shall pass. I hope those who love you can help sustain you and lift your spirits until this all passes.

Hi Ellen, I tivo your show and watch it EVERY SINGLE DAY when I get home from work. You make me laugh so much. Working in a hospital I need to laugh when I get home. Tho I laugh at work too but it can sometimes be a sad job. Anyway, my husband had the power off today to work on installing a generator and when I got home he said " I have some bad news". I was thinking oh no, what, and he said "Ellen didn't tape"!!!!! He didn't get the power back on in time and I missed the episode today with Celine Dion, one of my favorite singers!!! DARN! I used to be able to catch missed shows -when the tivo messed up or God forbid they preempted your show-on the Oxygen channel a week later but it's no longer there. WHY, can't you get them to show your show again???? I guess I'll have to catch Celine during reruns next year!!! Love, peace and joy, Melinda Stahl
Hey Ellen! I love your show.
I've only been watching it for about a year and I've been upsest with it. Sadly, I can't always watch your show in the morning when it airs because I have school, but I always catch up on what I've missed from your website or YouTube!
I've watched all your crazy and hilarious antics back from your start when you shared the stage with Johnny Carson.
My mom doesn't watch TV or go on the computer a lot because she's always working. When she comes home from work, she says she's very tired and would just love it if she had a chance to rest for a liitle while. I beg her to watch some of your outrageous stunts from "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," "Ellen," or anything that has to do with you. At first, she unwillingly does it because she just wants to go to bed. I always win the argument and after she has watched you, she suddenly has some energy left.
We both agree that you are the funniest comedian of daytime and you have the ability to make anyone laugh.
When you laugh, we laugh; when you cry, we cry; and when you're trying some of Salma Hayek's crickets, thumb wrestling with Jennifer Aniston in a tiny ring, or just talking to Gladys on the phone, we just gaze into the televesion set, wonder what will happen next, and then laugh our pants off when you succeed.
Thank you for entertaining us and bringing joy to our homes for the past two decades.
