Chicago Foot Workings is the name of the dance team. Weren't they great?

AHH!! I am trying to find the name of the chicago dancers who performed. Does anyone know??
They were great!
thanks

An excellent show ... almost everyone loves variety shows.

I thought Wayne Newton's comment about "hot slots," though, was completely inappropriate. The show started at 9pm; quite a few kids are still up at that hour. He just creeped me out in general, anyway, with his shiny plastic surgery-modified face.

It's SOULJA BOY.......

Thanks for a night of VARIETY and Entertainment!
It was nice to see the talents of our fellow Americans! (and The Chinese Acrobats and others)

That's what a veriety show is all about, I agree with Regi about the description of the show, I guess that why some people thought it was the ELLEN SHOW eventhough Ellen is only the host.

All in all I thought the show was a success but could use improvements such as...The plot of the show, don't put all the best acts on the first half of the show, it seems like it started great then it slowly fizzled, I sort of wished Barry performed on the stage instead of doing his song on top of Ceasars Palace however the touch of those "feather dusters - jubilee girls" made it feel move "vegasy", who doesn't love Mandy anyway? :o)

Great Job Ellen - wish you danced Soldier boy!

PS: Fellow Ellen Canadian fans, maybe if you bombard TBS with e-mail, they'll find a network that will air it for you :o) If not, just wait on Youtube, it should be there soon! - I didn't delete the show in my TiVO >wink

Ellen,I Loved it. I wish you could do more variety shows. I love Wayne Newton, I seen alot of his shows in Branson, Missouri.
He's got a good voice. There was something for everyone. You know what, I want to do for Christmas is go and see Andy Williams Christmas show down in Branson this year he's getting old, but he still has a voice.
O Happy Thanksgiving, don't eat to much, I maken my Cranberrie Bread and Jello.
Liz ; )

I, too, was in the audience for the taping. The show was exactly what I expected and I was not disappointed with Ellen's choices of performers. Ellen has a very diverse fan base and, consequently, was challenged with putting together a program that would appeal to and entertain all of her fans in some way. I'm sure there were several older fans who adored the Barry Manilow and Wayne Newton skits and some younger fans who loved the jugglers and jump rope team. I must say however, I was disappointed in Ellen's lack of interaction with the audience during commercials. I agree with a previous post...the commercial breaks were painful. Bottom line...I applaud her efforts. The next one could only be better and I wish her all the best!

The show was GREAT! Yes we all wanted to see more of Ellen but she was the "Host" not the show. Anyway, I enjoyed it. I want more shows like that that the family can sit and watch. I am emailing TBS and letting them know "Great Show". Ellen, you did great!

I too was in the audience at Ceasars Palace. When I bought my tickets online, I thought it was going to be just Ellen doing one night of standup as a headliner for the Comedy Festival. There was no mention of it being anything else at that time, I discovered that a few days later and details were sketchy. The only reason I booked the trip was to see Ellen and I don't regret it, although I wish it had just been her.
So anyway, it was a little misleading but I love Ellen and would go to see her anytime under any circumstances!!!

Hi Ellen....Thanks for the variety show...it is refreshing to just be entertained and not have to see people competing and being voted off. I loved the old variety shows....Barbara Mandrell comes to mind...she and her sisters were so talented. I for one, would like to see more variety type shows. Enjoy your show every day too...glad you talked with Gladys again...we'd been wondering about her.

Well no offense Ellen but that blew harder than Monica Lewinsky.

You Canadians be glad you didn't watch it. I turned it off numerous times to watch something else. I am no longer a fan of Sheryl Crow. She turned into a female version of John Mellencamp with that song I also think she could've dressed a little better. She was dressed better at a concert I went to 4 months ago. Actually I think she was overdressed then and underdressed tonight.

Just ones opinion.

Steve I see why you feel the way you do. I would've been mad if I paid to see that show. There's a reason why the variety show went out. I mean if you're going to do one, leave out the very cheesy acts like the slinky lady( the hula hoop lady) , the juggling act, the unicycle, Barry Manilow, Wayne Newton, the horrible comedian guy, I can do better impressions than him, granted they will be cartoon characters but still.

If you are going to do a variety show this day and age, you have to do stuff that hasn't been done before, that's what Ed Sullivan and those guys did. They did stuff and had acts on that were never seen before. You also have to have acts that are not old enough to be the grandparents of some of the other acts.

This show was a complete miss in my book.

I agree Dizzy. I finally got to see a straight shot of the stage at the very end of the performance when they were done. Then it switched to Ellen and Wayne. Maybe since Smirnoff is sponsoring the show the camera men/women are getting free drinks.

I don't think the Canadian's are missing too much.

Hi Ellen

Along with the other Canadian's I was very saddened to hear that TBS no longer is being broadcasted in Canada (was replaced with Peachtree on Oct 1...sniff sniff).

I was actually a part of the show and am dying to see the full hour and a half show. I have told all my friends, family and co-workers about your amazing show and was looking ofrward to watching it tonight and even called my local televison network to see if there was anything they could do.

If you could help out all of us Canadian's who admire and love your show's & comedic preformances it would be so appreciated...would you be able to either put it on your site to watch or YOUTUBE or anything that us Canadian's can view.

Thanks kindly

You rock Ellen.

Crystal :)

Tell the director guy/gal in the booth to quit switching the cameras and angles like some spaz who forgot to take their Ritalin. The stage dance performances are typically viewed by someone sitting in front of the stage... in the audience. It looses the effect when you can not see the whole stage choreography.

HEy Ellen, I was really looking forward to see your BIG Whuut show...However, I live in Ontario Canada...(sniff) I'm rather Disppointed....

Your Fan;

Lisa Smees

I really wanted to watch Your really big Show Ellen, but I live in Canada :(

UGHHHHH You have let all Canadian fans down Ellen. Alot of us are very disapointed!

I was disappointed when I realized Canada no longer has TBS.. I have been looking forward to watching the “really big show” since Ellen started to advertise it.. will it be coming to dvd or aired on a Canadian friendly t.v. channel?? or is there anyway it can be added as a link to the Ellen website?
