I have been reading some of the comments posted on your website asking for tickets to the 12 days of Christmas giveaway show. There are certainly alot of worthy folks out there. I don't envy you the task of choosing the recipients of the tickets.
I would also love to attend your show during this time. I haven't ever attended your show, though I watch every episode that I possibly can watch.
Keep up the good work! We need more shows on tv like yours, informative, educational, and entertaining!

dear ellen,
i'm a 26yr old single mom and dedicated daughter. ever since i can remember i've been taking care of ill family members. i lost my grandmother at 15yrs old after caring for her for 3 yrs. she had cancer. then weeks later i found out my mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer i began caring for her and have been ever since. i had to grow up fast and have had lots of issues because of it. however, i do not regret any of it. every afternoon when i watch your show i laugh and get away from it all even if for that little bit of time. i've tried to go back to school to further my education so i can better support my family, but it seems something always gets in my way. first my ar breaks down, then my mom gets sick and her husband passes away so i end up having to stay home for her, she was very depressed. now we don't have a vehicle so my hopes of returning to school have once again passed me by. ellen, i believe i deserve a brek and would like to attend your 12 days of giveaways show. i've never been to a live taping of your show and i would love it if you would give me the opportunity.

you know they say dreams come true and i know they do and someday they will for me. For just 1 day at the hoildays i would love to give to my kids they never have asked for anything i for 1 dont need anything except a job. i watch your show and never had the chance to get tickets but today i wanted to try to get tickets for the 08 xmas show and i would give to them for xmas as i never can. they never complained about anything because i always say have faith and maybe people will see the love inside of us. i say it is what it is and you have to just try harder the next day. i never thought my family would have to be going through such hard times like we are. i would love tickets for the 12 days of give-aways at least for 1 show. thank you terry R.

I was actually writing to tell you about my grandmother, wanting to give her special recognition for everything she's done to help our family, my grandfather passed in december, and last week my aunt, (her youngest daughter) who she has been taking care of the last 5 years passed from cancer. She now looks after My 27 yr. old cousin who lives with her he has ADHD and past drug use. She makes sure he's staying employed, and home safe! I often worry where he'd be if it wasn't for her never giving up on him. I have 5 children myself and she's done so much for all of us, too much to list in a letter, I talked to my mom this morning an she said my grandma is sick in the hospital, hopefully nothing serious, but I wanted to do something special to let her know how much she means to all of us and let her know what a blessing she is to all of us. The 12 days of giveaway tickets would be wounderful. But any other ideas to give my grandmother special recognition for all she's done for us would be much appreciated. Thanks, Love ya!

My mom is 70 years old and loves your show and we have tried and tried to get tickets to your show but to no avail. She would do anything to see your show. Please don't let life pass her by and she misses seeing you in person. She is in good health and can travel. We can get there by plane very easily but we need 3 tickets to be in your audience. She has only been to New York, her first big trip two summers ago. Her husband died of prostate cancer 3 years ago and it has been very hard on her. She sings in church and has been on a local radio show reading uplifting stories. She is a docent in the Frank Phillips museum in her local town. Please, please give her her dream to come see you and to keep making her laugh. You make her day and she thinks you are the bomb and so funny. Her name is Sandy Strickbine and lives in the town of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, around the Tulsa area. I am praying you can make her dream come true. She wanted to come in February of this year for her 70th birthday but we just can't get those darn tickets for some odd reason. Thanks for listening. I am a breast cancer fighter and I find myself spending a lot of time in bed. Therefore giving me lots of time to watch your show each and every day. I love your show and you. I am an elementary teacher in a small rural area of Wisconsin. My school (150 kids) has been told we are closing at the end of this year due to budget cuts and not having the money to do the repairs needed on the building. Suffice it to say that the staff is very sad about this as most of us have taught there our whole careers. Now we will all be split up to other schools and other positions. This is all happening despite the fact that our school has earned the Wisconsin School of Promise award 4 years in a row (given to high poverty, high achievement schools in Wisconsin). Anyway, It would be so nice to get tickets to your 12 weeks show this year for the six teachers who are being displaced after putting in all those years with much sweat and tears for children we love dearly. Every day, your show brightens up my day. There is never a dull moment. I am a mother of two handsome boys (ages 6 & 4), a full-time bartender, and a full-time college student. No matter how busy I am during the day, I always take time to watch your show (even when I have to record it). I am a 62 year old mother who adopted 2 children when they were 2yrs and the other was 3 months. They give me the blues now that they are 15 yrs. and 13 yrs old and don't want me as their mother I either go to court or dentention because they stay in trouble. I had to join in, unfortunally I am not able to watch your show everyday, with 2 jobs, 3 children in college and a husband recovering from an illness. There is not very much time to watch any tv. But on Saturdays when I am at work I like to catch all the highlights of all your shows for the week. I sit in my office laughing by myself! You have gotten me through some rough times. Due to a back injury, I had become very depressed. Watching your show takes that depression and whooshes it right away!

OMG it would a dream to be able to come to one of your shows. I laugh so much watching your show. I am usually breastfeeding or cleaning or doing my work, TIVO is awesome in that I dont miss a joke. I love it when you make the celebrities seem like real people and they do goofy things. Ashton was so funny singing, Sandra was funnier eating that pepper and I almost dropped the baby when you asked Gwen if she was breastfeeding. I had to play it a couple times and it just got funnier each time I watched. Ellen, it would be a dream of mine to come to one of your 12 days shows. Before I knew who you were, my daughter, who at the time was 12 years old, purchased a tape of one of your comedy specials with her own allowance money (she had been saving for several months). She was obviously a devoted fan even back then, and ever since, I have been one too!!

I devote myself everyday in the afternoon for 2hrs to watch your show and to watch the soap opera show that comes right after your show. I've been doing this for some time now. I'm a mother of 4. Hi Ellen, I have been a huge fan for always. I have never ever thought of going to any talk show, until now. I have had alot of time lately due to some medical problems that I have endured for 17 years . I won't get into a long story, but I have had 12 surgeries, had a few things inside removed and live with chronic pain. I just got out of hospital last week and wanted to check out your website...and here I am. I have a real hard time asking for help, but being able to come to your show would give me a bright star to look foward to and so much joy to attend. I love you Ellen and you have brought so much laughter and sunshine into my life and I want to thank you for that. My name is Patricia Torchetti, and I just wanted to give you a word of warning this letter to you comes from my HEART not my writing skills...
My friend and neighbor Leslie Cervo is one of your BIGGEST CANADIAN FANS, She LOVES you. This letter to you is for her to have a dream she truly deserves come true. You see about 10 months ago this family’s good luck turned around for the worst. Leslie’s dad was diagnosed with colon cancer and went through treatment and things seemed to be ok for the moment. But with a cruel twist of fate both her parents lost their jobs with only a couple of years before they were to retire. They had been at their jobs for over 20 years, and as you can imagine, they were devastated. It seemed unfair to have this happen at such a great time in their lives. Leslie just had a beautiful baby daughter, and her sister Susan has two beautiful boys and one on the way. Life wasn’t that great, but at least they had one another, until one week before Leslie’s mothers 58th birthday November 24 2007, her mother died suddenly, with no warning from a heart attack. They never got the chance to say good-bye to her. They thought she would be ok and coming home. Her mother was such a beautiful woman and I had the pleasure to have her part of my life. Knowing how close their family is, it was the biggest blow to them they could have ever imagined. My friend would not be able to pick up the telephone just to talk her mom again like she would do everyday. Leslie’s mom was the LOVE that kept her family together. Leslie and her sister Susan’s children will not have their grandmother there to be apart of their life’s. Leslie’s father as you can imagine is lost and bewildered to this day. He lost his greatest love of all and still tries to understand it. It was the most devastating travesty. She was gone and understandingly this family can not fathom their lives without her. Getting through Leslie’s daughter’s first birthday December 18, 2007, Christmas, and New years was truly heartbreaking. I wish I could say that this story has ended but there is more. In early 2008 Leslie’s brother-in-law was in a ski-do accident and is now in a wheelchair. We were at the hospital when he arrived by helicopter after the accident and were terrified that we were going to loose him. God bless he is still with us and getting more healthy every day with the support of his family and fiends. There is more….
Leslie’s father is again having problems with his cancer and is going through a rigorous amount of test. Leslie goes to appointments with her dad and gives him amazing support. I have such admiration and respect for this family and no words could really express the love, and loyalty they have for one another. I wish that my friend has not had to endure so much pain. No one person deserves to have this much sadness in their lives in such a short time.
Just recently Leslie and her husband Gino went to the Sick Kids Gala and there were tickets to your show being auctioned off. They went for an amazing 11 thousand dollars, and way out of her league. So this is the part where I come in. PLEASE, PLEASE could you see it in your heart to have Leslie come to your show and meet you? She deserves a bit of happiness in the world that has really let her down lately.

This letter is close to my heart and is important because it will help others as well as myself with gratification of the words that I speak of. My life long struggles to stay alive with Type 1 diabetes from the age of 14 to my transplants in Aug 05. My life is just begining and I would love to share the joy of transplant donations.
I am not sure where the letter is posted on your website, but I do hope you get to read it, not just for my sake but for others as well.

Ellen...I've been on leave of life lately...I take care of my father who was a young 85, now is on hospice. We watch you almost every day...dad can even move to the beat when you dance....what I wanted to say, is I wish I could be on your show, my son 11 comes straight home from school to watch you, I know you choose special children who do special things....well my son has given up soooo much after school activity to be home with his grandfater.... no sports or activity because he loves his grandfather....he deserves alot for being unselfish...he is a very caring young man....it would be extra special for us to come.Please let us come.

My two golden retrievers,Honey and Kody, would like the opportunity to get two tickets to your show.They are big fans of all that you do for animals. Honey may be loud during the production, because when she's happy she "purrs" ...little adnoid problem. I promised them that i would get them in shape for the show...we've already started our cardio program and they are both looking forward to swimming this summer. Fyi-Honey will be working extra hard because she heard that the tv adds 13 pounds and she has a thyroid problem. Think about it and get back to me...

I DVR your show everyday. I get to watch the show after work and it you make me laugh so hard it makes the stress of work disappear. I have a 1 yr old, Avery, that stops what she is doing to watch the opening credits and your dancing and she dances with you. Then after that she goes back to what she was doing. I have always wanted to come to California to see I of your shows in person but being a single mother. It is difficult but will not be impossible. One of my goals is to make it to one of yours shows and soon. I am going to try for the one of the 12 days of giveaways shows. They look like so much fun. Keep on keeping on Ellen and I still be watching and laughing with you. Someone told me once that my daughters smile is contagious and that is true but so is yours and I thank you for that. I'm in Chicago now at an academic conference and walked by your set this afternoon, we were so upset to have missed you (blame it on the conference who had scheduled me to present for most of the morning...don't they understand that Ellen's in town?!)

Anyway, would absolutely LOVE to come see you for your 12 Days! (I live in Kansas so take pity on me and get me out of these fields!) My mom's been battling a rare form of cancer as of late and I know she would love to come visit you too - we'd been working on scheduling an Italy vacation for this year but when she was diagnosed obviously those plans fell to the wayside. I know she'd love to get away around the holidays, because I just know she'll have beaten this disease by then (even if we're both in wigs!)!

Great show. Honestly I rarely have the opportunity to watch your show. I'm 31, single and in sales living in Greenville, SC. Although, I love the shows I have seen and yours definately stands out from the rest. Great sense of humor and you keep it fun and not so serious. I love your show & I love to dance! I was a young Mom in the 70's & always played music in the background & danced around the house like a fool (and still do)...good thing because not knowing, my baby girl at age 8 months was diagnosed that she was deaf, but she could hear vibrations so the MUSIC was the best imput she was getting from the beginning. Terra just turned 32 years old this month & has the mentality of an 18mth old child, she will sit in front of her stereo & listen to music ALL DAY she loves to clap & she can dance in her own way!We have taken her to alot of concerts, she is total care & lives at home. Alot of people over the years have told me I should put her away so that I could have a life...well she is MY LIFE & I would not know what to do without her! I always tell everyone she is the best kid its those other 2 that drove me crazy!!! I always know where she's at, she doesn't care what you put on her, & she doesn't talk back! LOL I am truley blessed!

She has good days and bad, sometimes she doesn't know until she gets up if her legs are gonna work for her or not, but she can always laugh with you @ 3:00. To be able to go to your live taping would be a experience that a person can only dream about, but dreams do come true sometimes. Working at walmart at Christmas is the reason I cannot even dream about it. But the enjoyment I get out of watching all the people that receive that dream is totally fun. I've been with u since the first show, when Jennifer Aniston, put the welcome mat out. I did attend a show. It was the 1st 1 that Ray Ramano was on, his wife was behind me and mamma also. Originally, I am from RI. I lived in Orange county for 16 years before I moved back to RI,duh. Know I am moving back to CA,after 5 yrs. I had to come back for a 2nd beating in(RI)before I learned my lesson. I'm not sure if I'll live in OC, or in Temecula where my son, daughter-in-law and my grandson Giovanni lives. I have endured 13 surgeries from a car accident, have more to go, 11 in CA. I also have fibromyalgia, EBV, etc. I can count on you to make me laugh, and I have turned everyone who is close to me into an Ellen fan. U must be saying where is she going with this. My b-day is Dec 3rd. Every year I watch the Xmas shows, and say to myself I wish I was there, because the show I attended we didn't even get a frickken book not complaining just explaining. Your show is the best. You are the most down to earth genuine person on TV. My husband works very hard as a Principal at an elementary school in a very small N. California town. I am currently getting my teaching credentials. I would love for him and I to be able to come to your show and be able to share such an experience to all the children in the school district here. My husband was diagnosed with Luekemia about 6 months ago and we have decided that each and everyday of life is precious and that the more experiences we have the better. Hello Ellen, My husband, Keith and I moved to our 1000 sq ft lake cabin almost 2 years ago. He retired but now does odd jobs and is a custom framer and used to have a gallery. He built a work shop this year and is a very talented man who doesn't realize how good he actually is. My girlfriends say that if he ever finds out that I will be history! I have been a full time travel agent since 1984 and started my own company, En Route Travel in 1990. After all the commission cuts and 9/11 I had to close my storefront. I am now based from home and still work daily and have some loyal clients, thank goodness. We would love to make a driving trip to see you and your very "fun show"! I watch the Ellen show every chance I get, even if they are re-runs.
I would just love to be in Chicago, since I've never been there. I love lakes and oceans, and just being near one of the Great Lakes would be a thrill, but not nearly as much as seeing Ellen in person. I love her for her genuine interest in the well-being of all mankind. She is just such a special person that being near her would make me feel special. Please LET ME SEE ELLEN IN PERSON!!

I have entered on the computer but no luck. I am 63 and this would be one of my things to do before I die. I smile everyday because of your humor. I thank you for that. I am a foster parent of 13 years with 2 children of my own. I am on social security and things get tough sometimes. My kids are grown now and I am very proud of both of them. I became a great-grandmother last year! She is beautiful! Of course she wouldn't be anything else. My mother has heart disease and my step father is terminal with cancer. He probably won,t make it to the end of this year. My mom is not far behind, so I try to make their lives as comfortable as possible. I am retired???????????

Thank you soooooooo much for giving epople the opportunity to be a part of your life. I watch you daily and survive my bad days with your humor. I'm getting ready to go through my third back surgery and after two years of a bad divorce my son is finally living with me in peace. Things have been bad and I need a break. I often wonder what it would be like to visit and be a part of your show. To me it's like therapy. I hope your back is better. I'll never forget when you where hurting and you had a two pill day. I can relate. I have a new boyfriend that has taken on alot with my family with the upmost patience and love. My daughter just had a baby and I am a new grandma who needs to have my family together.
They need a reward and I have no money. My ex-husband has kept everything I own and will not allow our son to have his things either. I'm doing my best without a real income but, I have enough love for people just like you. I'm sorry for whinning but my car is shot and I can only drive to the local area. I would love to take them to a place of humor and respect of others.

Well, I just posted yesterday, 4-8 because you're coming to Chicago in May and I invited you and your crew to enjoy a BBQ at my house while you're in my town, even though there is a lot to do, see and eat in our GREAT town, but I've been a VERY BIG fan of yours since your early days...there's just something about your soul that I just get. Well, I've always thought that I'd really love to go to your show, but thought it would be so difficult to get tickets. As I mentioned previously, I'd be soo excited to go to any show, but the 12 days of giveaways would be a great show to attend, but the reason why I would want to go is to bring my two best friends with me. One of them was diagnosed with a rare cancer last year and she recovered from that...she is that one person that is always happy and will give you the shirt off of her back....no matter what! As I said to you in my April post, "Laughter makes the heart smile" and it would give me the biggest thrill to give my friend a permanent smile to her heart. We love your show and sharing this together with you would create a memory that we can take with us forever.

My daughter Maile loves your show as well. If she has a snow day or there is no school she requests to watch your show. I am 33 years old and for the last 5 1/2 years I haven't done much at all. See, when I was 27 i went to a friends house after work. I was there for about 20 minutes when we decided to go swimming. My step-daughter recently became engaged and the wedding is set for June 20, 2009. During the discussion about the wedding plans and events, she said her dream "bachlorette party" would be for her and her bridesmaids to go to see "Ellen". I have never seen your show live...me and my daughter, Macy 12 and son,Gavyn 6 watch your show everyday after school. Gavyn mostly loves the dancing you do...HE TOTALLY DANCES WITH YOU...it is hillarious, he will even throw in a break dance move here and there in and mix it up(he is such a comedian). He was attacked by my sisters dog on March 31st, 2007 and had plastic surgery (so his spirit was broke{due to his scaring} for quite along time except for when your show would come on).

My Mother is a recent widow. She does not like the quiet house since my Father has been gone.Her television is always mostly for backround noise. EXCEPT AT 4:00 ! Your show is the highlight of her day. She eats her dinner with you everyday. When I call her at night to check up on her she gives me the "blow by blow" description of the show (since I'm at work during that time). She thinks your absolutly wonderful. Hi Ellen. I would love to attend a live taping of your Christmas show. I use my DVR to record your show because my children do not get home until after your show airs and it is the first thing that we sit down to watch together. Now my oldest son comes over before work to watch the show with us. The only problem is that I would need 6 tickets (my husband, my kids and me) but there are only 2 tickets that you are giving away BUT I figured out a solution to the problem if you consider me to win. Check this out: I'll let them play musical chairs with that "crazy swivel chair" that you had on your show and whoever wins gets to go on the show with me. Ha Ha Ha! Let me know what you think. Im a single mom, of a beautiful 15 year old daughter. I love to watch the Ellen show, because she is so funny and entertaining, and she makes me laugh and smile EVERY SINGLE DAY, and there is not too much in my life that I can say that about. I have never seen a taping of any television show. 3 Tickets only would fill the bill for 3 sisters who have not spent anytime alone together since we lived at home as children. I think it would be interesting to share this surprise with them. Being the eldest of us 3, it is past overdue for a reunion of this kind. Life is too short so lets make the time to bring us together alone again after 35 yrs, no spouses allowed. Ellen we watch your show everyday, I couldn't imagine how excited and fun it would be to actually be there with you and the audience. I have a great friend (whos name is also jennifer) and we live in a small town in Indiana, so we don't travel much. We both work at a little diner that her parents own. This year she was diagnosised with MS. She has had a pretty hard year but you know she keeps her head up and goes on. We have been friends for a few years now and I love her like a sister. If we don't talk to each other at least 5-10 times a day something is wrong, and the funny thing is we live right next door to each other(our children are also best friends. She is a great person with a great personality. First time you meet her you love her. I would love to do this for her because she really deserves it. I do not have a heroic story, I am not lacking for anything, and I really can not say that I deserve two tickets for your 12 day Christmas Give-Away more than anyone else. What I do have is a 16 year old son (Andy) and myself that love your show and love you. We TIVO you daily and share that time watching you. You have been such an inspiration to Andy while he is going through some of the toughest times of his life. Your humor is incredible, your smile is contagious and your generosity makes us want to give. It would be so awesome if I could tell Andy that we have tickets to come see you at Christmas time. Most people want to bring their mother but i would love to bring my husband he is a fireman who gives everyday for his job and his family. i would love to get some cool things to GIVE to him. he would also be totally embarrassed if he knew i did this!.

1: I'm one of ten kids, and obviously attention from my mom was limited (being split ten ways and all) So this would give us the perfect opportunity to spend time together

2: We both LOVE to dance and both just so happen to know how to bust a few moves

3: We both LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE you

4: My mom is older than 50 (not much older) but who cares it will TOTALLY make you feel younger

5: My mom is a flight attendant which means we will be able to fly for free.......so the extra money we save on our flights we can bring you lunch.......(who ever offers that to you?) these people really need to step it up......

6: I'm getting married in August and I'm really happy about it....but let's face it I wont have many "girls getaways" with my mom anymore because you know husbands around now...gatta do things with him....whatever

7: My mom is a hot single lady lookin for love and hasn't had much luck in Chicago....this would give us the perfect opportunity to visit the men in a differnt city and allow me to be the perfect wingman for her.....

8: Did I mention we LOVE LOVE LOVE you????

9: I just graduated from Nursing school and trust me when I say, I need a break.

This would be a dream to come to one of your 12 days of Christmas shows! I have never been outside of Canada, and I have never been on a airplane. I am a mother of 3 children and have been through a lot in the last couple of years. My health is not good. I am 36, but I feel like I'm 66? I would love to attend with my 18 year old daughter. It would be a "bonding" experience for her and I and we really need that! We have never owned a house or had the better things in life, but we still try to be optimistic and make the best of things. I love your show! You are absolutely uplifting. You are a great example for all of those grumbly people of the world!hehe. I am probably one of your greatest fans as well as one of your oldest. I will turn 70 in June. I would love to come to one of your 12 days of christmas shows. I would love to come with my daughter whose birthday is December 17th and will be 41 years old. She was having a hard time turning 40 last year and I keep telling her just wait until you turn 50 like Ellen or 70 like me. I am retired and slightly disabled and look forward each day to your show as you just make me laugh and dance and lift my spirits as no one else can.

Ellen, I love your show. I wacthed you everyday when I was on 2nd shift. Then General Motors put me on 1st shift. They have TV's in the break rooms but they are stuck on some news channel like CNN or something like that. Maybe you can influence them to change the channel to NBC, then we would be able to watch you during our lunch break. That would be awesome!! Hi Ellen, my wife has wanted to see your show for as long as I can remember, she and our twin daughters (toddlers) waited outside at your last Universal Studios visit but were unable to get in. Every day my mom and I turn on the station to watch your show. My mom is 84 years old. She has a vodka on the rocks, with a twist of lime, and she is always there to watch Monday thru Friday.
When there is "late breaking news" that interrupts your show sometimes, she gets very upset because she knows you're being aired somewhere else where there is "no news...."

I would really love to go to your show and sit next to your mom. My mom passed away 20 years ago. She was buried on my 30th birthday. I just turned 50 and it has been awful.
I did not have the heart to celebrate because all 3 of my sons are in the military. One is serving in Baiji, Iraq. This too is the biggest nightmare of my life. I need my mom so much right now. You are so very lucky and happy to have your mom. I think maybe you would like to share your mom with me for a little while. What do you think? Maybe it would be nice to have a mother again if only for a little while.

Dear Ellen, you crack me up! My day is really boring until 10:00 am when your show comes on. You keep me sane - I am unemployed, my unemployment has run out - I have sent 181 resumes out to date and nothing!!!! My husband wanted to retire in January 2008, but because I don't have health insurance, he has to keep working and they cut his hours back, which really helps in the bill paying department.

I love your show. It's pretty much the only one I watch except for the news. Being a single working mom with six kids I don't have a lot of time for television but I always try and find the time to watch you. I can even watch your show with the kids, they love you too. My little ones still refer to you as Dori from Finding Nemo :) I would love to see you in person on any show. You are gorgeous, funny, and I love your positive outlook on life. Hi Ellen, I don't get to see your show often b'cause I'm usually sleeping but what I do catch I enjoy. I didn't even know you had a website...but I should've known b'cause everyone does. But anyway, I saw the video of your "grueling" questions to Hillary Clinton and I don't think there could have been any tougher ones for her. I mean, the glitter issue was well worth the time spent watching. I love your humor and keep on dancing. It's great excercise and fun too. Also, I am from your neck of the woods but just a little farther south. Houma is about 62 mi. SW of Nawlins and not very far from the coast. Hi Ellen:
I have never been to the taping of a show before and what an honor it would be to be at yours. I watch you everyday or at least tape it so I can watch it after everyone goes to bed. You are amazing in all you do for others. All the give aways, games with awesome prizes, the list goes on and on. I can be in a bad mood, but after watching you my spirits are lifted. I have been stuck in my home for 6 weeks due to back surgery and 10 months prior for 6 weeks for abdominal surgery, please tell me it will get better. Ha!!! I recently 4 days after my back surgery put on a chicken noodle dinner for a student (Melissa) in our school district who was recently diagnosed with an inoperable malignant brain tumor. I had planned this for weeks before I knew I had to have surgery and I could not let the family down. So, on Jan. 26th, 2008 we held the dinner and within 3 hours raised almost $6,000.00. What an awesome feeling you get for doing something for someone else. I now know how great you must feel everyday. What an honor and privledge it would be to meet you in person and say Thanks!! and to give you a t-shirt we had made for another benefit to raise money for Melissa. I hope you consider me for the tickets to your show. AND what a wonderful Birthday present that could be since my Birthday is the 12th. hi ellen! i am not writing this to ask you to send me tickets to your show. however i love watching your show, visiting your website and reading other peoples posts. there is a post for tickets to your 12 days of giveaways from someone named billie barton for their mother who is 70 to go to your show. i truely believe tickets should be given to them. i come from a family where my mother has put everyone in her life before her so i can understand the love that is there. my mother and i are best friends and do everything together and she always cancels her plans or changes them around just because i want to do something with her. if i seem down in the dumps she can always tell, and does everything she can to make me happy. usually she will go to the store and get me a treat and a bingo scratch ticket, or she will play a game with me or sometimes she even pretends that she wants to go to a store that she knows i like just so i will go and be a little happier. so when billie wrote that their mom used to save her snack to share with them, i thought there is a women who probably never thinks of herself first. and she deserves to be given the gift of going to your show for a day of giveaways. nobody really understands what we mean when we say she truely puts herself last if she even includes herself at all, unless they have a mother like we do. however ellen, it has been my mothers dream for as long as i can remember to have a beautiful bright country inspired kitchen so if you ever have a contest for a kitchen makeover please let me know so we can enter the contest:) i think i have inherited the trait of putting myself last from my mother and that is the greatest gift i think she could have given to me. so please give tickets to billie barton. i thank you for taking the time to read this.

I am an associate that works in a Preschool for at-risk 3 & 4 yr olds. The teacher and I watch your show everyday for lunch. We dont get to see the whole thing but it gets us rejuvenated for the next wave of preschoolers. We laugh, we cry, we sing and dance. It is a great escape for us each day. I would love to get tickets for Kelly Young, the teacher, because her philosophy of the classes is to make sure each child knows that we love and care about them. Which some of these kids need that reassurance very much. She is a great teacher and she totally falls for every one of your gags. She is soooo gullable. We would have a blast at your show. We would need tickets when there is a break in school because we cant leave our little preschoolers without at least one of us in class everyday. See what you can do. Hey Ellen - like everyone else....I'm huge and long time fan. This is very out of character for me to post an email to a celebrity talk show host. I I have always worked full time and never had time for watching TV (except for Idol). Recently, I shockingly had a third child and have worked a deal with work to stay at home and work part-time. It is awesome and I am sooo blessed to be able to do this. However, I have found day time television to be a huge snore and fit for a moron. I find myself watching Fox News or "the missing women's network"...all day. The only time I want to change the station is for your show. I find you very real and inspiring. If that is not possible any show would be nice as I've never been to any live shows of yours or anyone else's. I don't have a tivo but I watch you when I am home. You are the funniest and best host on all TV.

My mom is 70 years old. She has had a very difficult life. She always put me and the rest of my family first. I would love her to have the experience of your 12 Days of Giveaways Show.
When I was little she would always bring home half of her candy bar snack from work to share with.
I still think of half a candy bar as real love. But, if she gets a giveaway, I hope she keeps it for herself.

Hi Ellen, I am currently unemployed as I relocated from Ocala Florida back to my home State which is Texas! I watch your show whenever I can, as I am unemployed at the moment I take advantage of this opportunity to do so everyday! I know you constanly here this everyday, but I am a single parent and It's been a long and bumpy road for me and my daughter who is eight year's old. I divorced in 2003 and have struggled with life as a single parent, but I love my daughter dearly and we have not been blessed with very much as far as material only each other which I thank God for. I pray to God everyday to help me get out of debt! So I can make a better life for my daughter and myself. Seems like all I ever do is pay bills. My daughter is constanly asking me to place her in activities but financially it is very hard to do so, and so I have to explain over and over not today! Whenever Im off I do see the show and my favorite part is when you dance and lip sink the words of the song. I've loved you for years. I remember when you did stand up and was thrilled when you landed your own show. You are an amazing entertainer and humanitarian. You are simply the best! She loves your show. She makes sure that everyday it gets recorded. I recently broke my tailbone and have been on disability. Im only 27. I just completed my Medical Assistants degree and am interested in becoming a Surgical Technician. I want to be an example to my daughters that no matter how old you can do something with your life.

Hi Ellen, I came across this section of your site and even though the date states '07, I hope this will be considered for '08. I myself am a giant fan of yours and here's what's happening in my life. My sister is living with me and she has lung cancer which metastasized from breast cancer which came after her first bout with lung cancer. She has gone thru radiation, chemo, more surgery, more chemo and has decided that she would rather have quality of life than quantity. A choice I have to respect. The last doctor here in Md. (she was living in Mass and when the situation became more complicated, she came to live with my family in Md) I know this is a hard decision for her, but she has made her mind up. (Today I sent her an email address for alternative cancer treatment, so hopefully she will consider that as a resource.) Anyhow, her prognosis is 6 mos w/o chemo. She has tried chemo again since she moved here to Md., but she doesn't want to be sick 3 wks out of a month. I would love to be able to bring her to your 12 days of Christmas, but I'm not sure she'd be up to that,and I thought about your show in Orlando, but she's not really into a lot of children in one great big space (smile). So, what would you and you staff think about Christmas in July!!!! I know, a silly idea! But I would be grateful to have tickets to any show.... your shows alwys put a smile on our faces. Hi Ellen, I realize that a lot of people want to get in on your giveaways, so you might not get to us. I just thought maybe we could get tickets, if not to that show perhaps another. My mom and I are best friends and garage salein,thrift storein freaks. The bad thing about that is we do not buy new unless its on the clearance rack at Walmart. We have hand me down everything, most of my stuff is from her,and her stuff from her older sisters or her mom. So you see it would be nice to have something 'top of the line'. Just a note to let you know how much my mother and i love you and your show. I was lucky enough to get tickets to see your show in the first season. I tried to get them for my mom's visit to California. They were for after she went back home so she didn't get to see you. I tried again when she visited the next year and never got a call from your staff. I tried again just before we moved to Michigan to live closer to my mom, but we had to move before the tickets were availabe. I hoped that I could treat my mom to a very special Mother's Day gift this year and get tickets to your show and fly her out to California to finally see your show. I hope you can help us and let me know how to arrange for tickets in May, preferably your Mother's day show. I see you only have them on your website through April. From two of your most loyal fans.

Hello hope all is well. I just got this lab top and couldn't wait to check out your web site. I watch your show everyday and you don't know how many days i just wanted to stay in bed and never come out. I am a single mother of 3 angle's 2 girls ages 3 & 4 and one son age 10. The girls and i love your show and they too love to dance right along with you as do I. Why i would love to attend your show is a break, a just about ME Day. I haven't had on since my second daughter was born at 1 month the sperm donor walked out and left me with 2 baby's a son no $ and they will to go one. It's been a long 3 yrs. getting myself back together but I did it. He helps in no way. I do it all and that's ok, they where giving to my by god and this is my job, but I need a BREAK LOL. And if i couold choose anything to have a break your should would be my first choice. You are a great person inside and out and do so much to help others and i admire you for that. People helped me so much in our time of need and one day i hope to pay it forward. Your the best, keep it coming and I'll keep watching.
