HOLA ELLEN,

I'm sorry about Iggy and I hope that your hairdresser gets the dog back for her kids. One day there will be a cure for all types of cancer. Good Luck and have a freakin great day ...BESOS!!!

It's nice that you care so much about the dog but I have to feel sorry for the poor lady at Mutt's and Mom's. You live in a different world from the rest of us. We work for pennies while you rake in the big bucks. What is going to happen to this woman's business, reputation and life now that you have made a mess of it by splashing it all over the media. The best thing to do would have been to handle it privately. I have lost respect for you Ellen.

Her performance was brillant. And, I must admit, I was taken in at first. However, now it seems that this is just another media ploy. There was a contract that was very clear and concise. Ms Degeneres is an intelligent person, she has no reason to deny not understanding the contract. If she were so concerned about the puppy, why not contact the rescue shleter and have the family screened? That would have been the right thing to do. So either Ms. Degeneres feels she can do whatever she wants do to her "status", or again she knows this would play well to her fans. Shame on you, Ellen Degeneres. And more so on the NBC for allowing such a disgraceful scene to play out on your station. And now there is the equally disgusting move to sue the shelter. Apparently, there are now limits to the depths Ellen will sink for media converage. I know I will never watch her show again. And I take pride in knowing that of coutless others who feel the same.

Ellen,

This is a great cause. Don't forget about the food pantries.

From the Mid-Ohio Food Bank website:

Children's Book Feeds the Imagination and Kids in Need

Mark & Janice Perkins found a way to fulfill a lifelong dream and help families in need. They are venturing into the world of writing and illustrating children’s books. Their first book will entertain young readers and put food on the tables of area children. The book, LADYBUG BABY BUG, has been published by Authorhouse, and a large portion of the proceeds will go to provide food for families in need.

In Ladybug Baby Bug, the authors offer readers a charming peek into the life of the Ladybug family, including Momma, Da-Da, Sissy, Na-Na, Pa-Pa, and Brother Bug.

A perfect birthday or holiday gift. Order a smile today, at www.barnesandnoble.com

God Bless

What should matter is getting the dog a good home. This agency sounds like they just do this for the money and not the cause. Love you Ellen and hope it turns out well.

Sue, I am sure you do great work (or maybe only wish you could?) to rescue animals, but you sound like you need a break and some relaxation. You have run out of patience and seem to hang on this site all day waiting to lash out at the next person and remind us all of the horrors of animal abuse. Maybe you have seen and processed too much horror - it's time for a break, and maybe some counseling to be able to deal with what you do.

Ellen
I am a cancer survivor, and have a story to tell as well. Thyroid cancer in 1995 while pregnant

Anyhoo, cancer free since then and would love to just get to meet you or even get a photo

You are an inspiration to many people, straight, black, gay, white, every race and creed can benefit from an hour of your show.

God Bless you and your family

everything will be okay in the end; if it's not okay, it's not the end.

As I watched the saga of Iggy I was touched by your apology for doing the wrong thing by not telling the rescue group what you did. As this incident started to unfold I grew less sympathetic to you and the family you gave Iggy to because, first of all, I can't imagine you didn't know you must call the rescue group of your intentions, and secondly, I couldn't believe that knowing a contract was signed, you just pooh-poohed it away and didn't give it a second thought. Unfortunately, you don't seem to comprehend that the rescue group owners have obligations to keep for the welfare of the dogs they rescue and that doesn't mean that you can just give away a pet just because you believe 'found' a good home. That's ridiculous! It's up to the rescue group to make that decision. Had you just phoned them and given them a status instead of them calling you to "ask how Iggy was doing" they might have been able to make an exception. We'll never know. Most importantly, this should not have been handled in a public forum as you did with your emotional exhibition without a thought of the consequence of the welfare of the people who also love and rescue animals putting their very lives and homestead in danger, let alone the welfare of their business. This was a private matter and should have been handled as such. I am agasht at your behavior without so much as a forethought for these people who do good work and are now in harms way. Shame on you.

At this point, the posts are so simple-minded I suggest that Ellen's staff, who reviews this crap, tell her that she should admit that just because she's "ELLEN," she is NOT more knowledgeable than rescuers who have devoted their lives/time/money to protect animals from neglect & abuse. I doubt Ellen has ever ran to a shelter to pull a dog minutes before it will be PTS (that's "put to sleep" for all the know-it-alls that have never helped rescues, but just sit on the couch & watch a TV, thinking they're best friends w/ Ellen). For all the free publicity she rec'd, it is the least she could do. She could redeem herself for babbling like a baby by volunteering w/a rescue to experience what rescuers truly do. If you'd like, I could send you pics of burned, starved, scarred dogs to bring Ellen back to reality. Do something worthwhile already, Ellen.

Hey Mitra: Ur Mommy gets an opinion when she learns to speak ENGLISH!!!

Well it is SO obvious that not one of you have ever volunteered your time at a shelter (esp. a kill shelter), or probably ANYWHERE else for that matter. She did NOT follow the rules of a basic contract; can u guess what happens to us regular folks if we don't fulfill our end of a contract? (I guess none of you ever took any law classes). PS: "Do you really think Ellen would give a dog to a family that would abuse it?!" Are u so ignorant that you believe that you truly KNOW someone just becuz she is on your television screen? LOL - in Psych., that is called a "break from reality!" Do you think soap stars are real too? I guess all those football fans thought they knew Micheal Vick as well as you know Ellen! (I'm guessing you dont even understand that analogy...)

I do not believe that the people that took the dog from a loving home had the well being of the dog in mind, I think they were offered big bucks for the dog, because it once belongd to Ellen. I think they should give it back to the litle girlin the name of decency.

Dear Ellen,
We are so sorry that you are upset - but you need to be strong because they are many jealous people out there that can not see your success. Just be prepared and don't get mad. They can not stand your happinness. More of your success, more enemies!
PS: My mom is a 77 years old persian lady who loves you and asked me to send you an e.mail to tell you that she is allways praying for you and you are backed-up be God. Nobody can touch you!!!
She beleives you are the sweetest and funiest person in the world. I forgot the "huge heart".
My mom does not speak english!!!

Do you really think Ellen would give a dog to a family that would abuse it?! get real! Wasn't the lady who took the dog on private property? Didn't she kidnap the dog while on private property? The dog shelter is doing good things in one way but playing God in another! How they handled this situation was rediculous and cruel!

Come on - who is getting all the publicity? ELLEN! How many of you are rescuers? Do home checks? Pull dogs out of shelters right before they are euth? THERE IS A REASON WHY THEY CANNOT BE GIVEN TO A 3rd PARTY! We are trying to stop abuse. Maybe you should not judge this woman from the rescue until YOU have nursed a dog that was set on fire back to health. If you can stomach it, go to HSUS.org & see what rescuers are really dealing with (while Ellen relaxes in her million dollar house). Please dont be fooled by her.

Ellen (Porsha) did break the adoption contract, but the rescue organization could have done another application and back ground check on the family Iggy was living with and adopted Iggy to them. Instead the instantly had another home to take Iggy...probably somebody that just wanted to own the dog Ellen made famous. I am sure we will be seeing Iggy's newest family all over celeb tv getting the publicity.

In regards to Bill comment...
Dogs are like children to alot of people, me being one of them, when I was sick and couldn't walk my dog slept by my side for my entire recovery, and even came to the hospital. So maybe they don't compare to you, but I have two amazing dogs and a newborn baby and I love my dogs as if they are my children....
I think it's pretty insane that they would take a dog from a loving home and place him with a family that doesn't even know him... My puppies would go on a hungry strike if there not with me...
Good luck Ellen!

I'm sorry your hurting so much. I can't believe how cruel people can be, you're human and you have a right to how you feel!
