Ellen,
I really felt for you about Iggy. I don NOT think that the way you behaved was a disgrace. You were hurting and you shared that with the rest of us, your fans, who love you. Yes, you should have read the contract. Alot of shelters want you to bring a pet back, but I also think that they could have worked with you. Everyone makes mistakes in life. Sometimes when you adopt a pet it doesn't work out. The place you adopted Iggy from could have checked out the your hairdressers situation and just made them the new adoptee family. No big deal. They didn't have to go and just take the dog like that. That was wrong. Especially when they saw how much he was loved and how well he was treated.

By the way, today on your show, those ladies from petfinder and the other shelter place(??) had a great idea! You could be a foster parent, and/or get a shelter of your own going.

Stay strong and don't listen to the hateful comments that people make.

If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything AT ALL folks.

Love you Ellen.
You are a ray of sunshine and starlight in our lives.

People who need to stop writing crap about Ellen,
You people have no lives if you can spend all of your time writing unnecessary comments about one of the nicest people in the world. Most of us (me included) would never have read all of the papers when adopting a dog or any pet for that matter. We all just know we are doing a good thing so we think the papers shouldn't matter.
Truth be told it shouldn't. Ellen is an animal lover and would never give a dog to someone she didn't trust. When she adopted the dog her intentions were not to give it way. So stop making a fuss, get over yourselves, and stop talking crap!

I saw the calendar for Nov. 2007. As this is try number (8) I am lucky to be alive from a head on collision last dec. I have been in bed most of the year and am thankful I survived. Is there a ticket available for the Thanksgiving show?
I'm suree the 12 days of Christmas is taken. I
really don't understand ticket agencies SELLING tickets. HOW ABOUT ELLENS 50TH. I have a great idea for her gift this year.

BLESS ELLEN FOR MAKING ALL THE TOUGH DAYS BETTER!

Ellen,

This world should not always be so black and white. I am sure that rule was intended for people who adopt a pet...decide they don't want it...and leave it out on the highway or roads. You gave this dog to a girl that obviously wanted it, is taking care of it, and loves it. That should be enough for M&M and everyone else.

I am home on maternity leave and watch your show every day! In fact, I want to invest in TIVo just so I don't have to miss it when I go back to work. Please hurry back.

I hope your little friends are doing well and get a new doggie soon. Well Ellen, keep up all of the good things you do for everyone! You are one of the most compassionate persons I know of. I love your show, you crack me up!! I hope to see you in person some day. From someone who loves you, Diane, Redwood City,Ca.

I am writing to you for my friend that does not have a computer at home. She told me a hilarious story...Sue, her sister and two friends went on vacation on a remote island in Florida which has no roads. You can only get there by boat or seaplane. There is a marina which has a restaurant tht boats come to during the day to eat. They went to the restaurant and were drinking for several hours. Sue was joking around with the bartenders saying it was all of their birthdays and finally they gave each of them a free shot. They drank them. Sue, Caryl and Taryn ordered another drink. This is the funny part...Janet said that she did not want another drink, she would like some more of those free samplers. The three of them about fell off their barstools due to laughing so hard and loud.

WE would just like to let people know that the Iggy thing has caused a lot of stink for everyone. Ellen has been hurt Iggy has been pulled like a tug rope and M&m and the little girls have been hurt. It has also spilled over in to other rescues animals to being hurt. This was a sad thing to have happen. But Please Stop blaming all groups! Just stop complaining about Ellen, M&M or Iggy. Dammage has been done enough is enough! Everyone is allowed to have own feelings and ideas that is why we have service people dying every day for us to have that right. But do we have to condem and condem till we do more damage then should have been done. Politics do enough damage to the public do we as a public have to do it to ourselfs! Ellen and M&M started this blame game so they both should tell the animals how sorry they are for damage they may have caused them. Iggy is not suffering to death nor is Ellen or M&M but the animals that or in shelters and other rescues that are being shund do to this could be. How many adopters of animals in need are now going to go on wanted do to mistake they had nothing to do with. They are already in a shelter from the hands of human fault now we are going to punish them more. Not POOR ELLEN, NOT POOR M&M, NOT POOR LITTLE GIRLS
POOR POOR ANIMALS who have no way to defend. I like Ellen as entertainer I do not know her as a personal frined so can not say what kind of person she is behind the public eye. I do not nor have I worked with M&M so can not say what kind of people they are. I do not know or heard of Ellens hairdresser till this Iggy thing so can not Judge them either. I can judge Iggy he just wants a home where he can be loved and grow old in. It can be Ellen or the little girls it could even be the homeless person under a bridge. If he is loved cared for and not abused or forgot that it is what Iggy wants. He does not judge, or blame he just tries to please to stay Alive! Don't stop saving a pet from Shelters or Rescues just because a HUMAN mistake. Think of The ANIMALS not the faults of the Human.

For God's sake! We have men dying in a war and the public is concerned about a dog! What's wrong with this country? The public needs to move on and let Ellen do what she does best. Make people laugh.

Hi Ellen --

I really want to hear that "owie and booboo song" that the Wilkins wrote in about, don't you? We need a good laugh, eh?

My thoughts are with you Ellen. Do not listen to some of the idiots, they wouldn't know what it's like to lose a dog that you tried to Adopt. But in anycase, I believe the drama will be over soon, and hopefully the dog, Iggy will have a nice warm & happy home.

We hope you feel better! One of your biggest fans -

Christine

Why don't you quit your whinning and get on with your life, for cryin out loud. You knew the rules when you adopted the dog so whats the problem. We adopted a dog from the same kind of place and we were told up front, IF WE DON'T WANT THE DOG CALL THEM, do not give it to anyone else. If that kind of "stress" keeps you from doing your show, you are in bad shape.

end entry

Ellen,

I feel so badly for you and your hairdresser's little girl. You didn't do anything wrong. It sounds to me like the Mutts and Moms women are on a real ego control trip. They are the ones who are wrong and since they have now had to shut down their website due to all the e-mails and voice mails I don't think I am the only one who feels this way. I hope you will feel better really soon.
