Drew Carey shows off his engagement ring to Ellen and momentarily gets careyed away.
Hello Ellen, my name is Angella. My heart was broken when I heard what had happen to your hair dressers dog Iggy. My heart goes out to them children, and there family.
I know I can not replace Iggy. But I may be able to help them if you would allow me to.
My dog just gave birth to 2 little puppys. One girl and one boy. They were born on October 2nd. They are called Chorkies. They are a Yorkie and CHIHUAHUA mix. They are a popular breed.
They are very small right now. And at full grown are no more then 2-3 lbs. And I would love nothing more then to bring a smile to them childrens face. I I would like to give them one of my puppys. I know its not Iggy. But it would mean alot to me. If you would allow me to do this.
Please keep me in mind. I will drive all the way to you. With the puppy to present them to them. No cost for you or cost to them. Please let me know..
I cannot believe this! I sent an email too. Why can Pamela Anderson marry a guy for great sex and keep her children and you give away Iggy and get dis'd? It's not right. Yes the paperwork may have a policy, but they should know that you would never put an animal in danger. Policies are there to help and they can hinder, they can also be changed. In this case this group needs to give Iggy back to his family and you should not have to apologize for anything. You did nothing wrong. I cannot imagine the deep sadness you must feel at their actions. They should know you are one of the most honorable women in Hollywood and a good "mom" to many other animals. I support you and hope for Iggy's return to his home.
Hey Ellen,
I am so sorry about Iggy, we have a rescued Cocker and I know what a process it can be. They did not want to give us Elvis cause we had young children at the time (2 years ago) and we went on 3 interviews with our girls to make sure they got along and that we would not change our minds if Elvis didn't work out. Elvis did end up biting our youngest daughter and we dealt with it through the proper channels and he is still a beloved member of our family. At first I thought it was so silly to have to go through all that to adopt a dog, but now I see why they are so cautious. We love Elvis but we are never 100% sure that he will not bite again. We keep him away from small children and trained him. We will just never know. Now we have adopted a cat (for the bitten daughter:) and that is a whole different ball of yarn if you know what I mean. But we are a happy cat/dog family. I hope once they have gone through the proper channels Iggy can end up in your hairdresser's family arms again. Thank you for your honesty and raw emotion. So many can learn from your experience.
Best Wishes

Ellen,
I just sent an e-mail to you re: puppy.
Caught it on xtra. I am 57y/0 and I could not hold back my tears. We have 3 dogs, 3 cats, & 4 ferrets... all adopted. It sickens me to think an agency designed for the well being and proper, safe placement of animals could do such a heartless thing.
Let us help by exposing the person responsible for the decision to remove this poor baby from a home in which he/she was loved. Everyone knows what a warm loving person you are and that you only did what was best for the animal.
Whoever made this decision needs to quit his/her job and go WORK on an ASSEMBLY LINE where HUMANITY is NOT A REQUIREMENT.
All your fans / family stand behind you. Please
put the blame where it belongs ... on an idot ..NOT YOU!
Sincerely,
Pam
Ellen,
I am really overwhelmed that the organization you got Iggy from is so slow minded. What kind of people work there? idiots, I don't care if they have rules, you didn't give Iggy to some bag lady, he went to a good home. What are they going to do with Iggy now, they should give him back, or are they going to give him to someone who will abuse him. YOu are afterall a huge star and they should know that you would never ever abuse that puppie.
Someone should start a petition to get Iggy back, or give out the organizations phone number on the air and I will be more than glad to call them and tell exactly what I think of them.
I live in Chicago and you have all my support.
Eva
This clip with Drew Carey was the funniest thing I have seen in a long time! I hope it helped Ellen take her mind off Iggy. Hopefully everything works out in the end, but it always makes you feel better to laugh in the meantime.

Ellen, It's pretty sad when the fine print is put above the life and well being of a puppy and a family. You, the kids, the dog: all of you have been traumatized because of . . .the fine print?? Shame on that shelter!! I'll pray for all of you, especially for poor Iggy. Thank you for having the courage to spill your guts and be real: you are one strong, honest and wonderful woman!
Ellen,
i do not watch you every day. Hey, that is probably not what most say. I work, and have two small children, and I am now telling you things you do not really care about. But, when I do see you, I smile!
Thank you for many many smiles.
I am now sending them back to you. I have a good feeling that the pup will be returned. And if not, please grab one of these :), :), :), :), :), :), :), :), :),:), :), :), :), :), :), :), :), :),:), :), :), :), :), :), :), :), :),:), :), :), :), :), :), :), :), :),:), :), :), :), :), :), :), :), :),:), :), :), :), :), :), :), :), :),:), :), :), :), :), :), :), :), :),:), :), :), :), :), :), :), :), :),:), :), :), :), :), :), :), :), :),:), :), :), :), :), :), :), :), :),:), :), :), :), :), :), :), :), :)...
You provide them for me, this is my attempt to give one back to you.
Love ya!

Ellen,
You are a beautiful soul inside and out. Although i can't smile you make my heart smile every day. I hope to see your smile back soon and may God bless you always for all the good you do.
Don't you dare cry - you do more for animals than 95% of our country - people do what they have to in order make a peaceful environment for the animals in our care. Sometimes things don't work - DON'T CRY - you did what was needed
Hi Ellen,
I am so sorry for your pain and pain of your hairdressers family. I too adopted my dog Harley from a no kill shelter. I had to sign a contract but the shelter employee verbally went through the contract with me to make sure I understood to bring the dog back if I could no longer provide a good home for it.
The agency had a responsibility to you and everyone they deal with to take the time to go through the contract verbally with you so that a situation like this would never occur.
I am praying that the agency steps up and does the right thing for Iggy and the family involved.
Hang in there, your heart was in the right place and you did the right thing.
Take care,
Teresa J., Ohio
Dear Ellen,,
We have three animals that we have adopted, 2 from shelters and another given to us. One our oldest is from the local Animal shelter, Chico a chihuahua, Rocky a Yorky mix, from Homeward Bound, and June-bug our kitty.
All three of our animals have been rescued. Why the society you got Iggy from decided to take him away from a loving family is beyond me, since you couldn't take care of him that is wrong. You did what was right for the Iggy.
To be taken away from a family that has accepted Iggy and he has accepted as his is entirely wrong.
Granted they have policies but sometimes the good of the animal should be taken over the law.

Ellen,
I am so sorry you are going through this experience. I wish I could somehow reach to you and give you a hug and make everything better. I am an animal lover and I know you are too. I am praying for that animal organization to give Iggy back to the two little girls. However, that is what is wrong with this world, the human experience is put aside in the name of business and politics. We are forgetting what it is like to be human, to be a caring and loving people. I think what you did was right; you had Iggy's best interest in mind and you found Iggy a good and loving home. I would have done the same thing. Thank you, Ellen, for having that gene of compassion.

hi ellen, i hope everything works out for iggy and the hair dresser i'm in australia and just heard what happened on the news best of luck you have a big heart love your show .. chrissie
