Ellen, I'm so sorry to hear about Iggy. I have a affin pincher who is looking for a family. She looks like your Iggy. {Iggy was probably affin pincher mix not a Brussels, people say brussels because its more common} She would love a forever family. Hope to hear from you. Lisa

Hi Ellen,
I am so sorry about all the pain this doggie incident has caused you and the family involved. First of all, if that woman, who is head of the organization, was truly concerned and cared about animal welfare, she could have interviewed your hairdresser's family and seen for herself the puppy had a great home. I saw her interviewed, and her reactions are chilling. She seems to be more about her "power" and the hint of litigation with possible monetary gain, than truly invested in animal welfare. You are truly the best talk show host going. Your genuine concern, compassion and generosity shine in all that you do. PS: You're pretty darn funny too! Hang in there, you have alot of support. We love you big gooey globs.

Ellen,
I did NOT like seeing you cry. It ticked me off!
I know its hard about Iggy and I commend you for your kind and loving heart and nature. But, Please do NOT make me so depressed again haha! I was upset seeing you cry. You have an awesome show Ive loved you since your sitcom Keep On Keepin on girl! :)
Dont let the MAN get you down! Love you bunches
You are an awesome person dont let anyone else
tell you otherwise! God bless you

Ellen
I am only 1 day older than you. I guess my point is, I do not post comments to celebs. I had to say something about Iggy.
I felt your pain, the folks who made the decision to take the dog away are idiots!!!
I truly believe they did this as a publicity stunt.
A true animal lover, would have never taken the puppy away from those girls. Good grief, so what they are not 14 yrs. old, they are old enough to have the puppy. I hate they are claiming they are getting threats, I hope that is false. HOwever, they brought it on themselves. From what I saw on the news, they have given Iggy to another family.
SO BE IT.
If I had the money, I would buy the girls a puppy.
My girls 9 & 6 have a beagle pup "Rascal" and they take care of him and adore him.
I'm sorry.........
Oh yeah, since I had the nerve to make a comment
I am a big fan, you are a wonderful person.

Ellen,
hello my name is ashley. im so sorry about iggy. you do your best to bring joy and happiness into people's lifes, and you do. those two girls know how much you love iggy, and they know that you are doing everything in your power to bring him back to them. you not only brought happiness to those two girls life, but you also gave it to iggy. the people that took him away obviously didn't see that he was already in the best home possible. you are truly one in a million, and you have a heart of gold that not too many people have been blessed with. You brighten everyone's day and you always have a big smile on your face, this is why it breaks everyones heart to see you hurt and upset. im in the eighth grade, and i have puppy. i love and adore him with all my heart, and if someone took him away from me i would be devastated. however the one thing that would make me feel so much better, is knowing that i had someone like you behind me, fighting to help bring him back to me. you have a special gift, and you haved touched millions of peoples hearts, in so many ways. YOU R THA BEST, and never ever forget it.

Sincerley
Ashley,

I cannot believe that you all have forgotten that a LEGAL DOCUMENT - a contract was signed. It is NOT okay to ignore that document that was signed. I totally agree that the dog should have been taken away and should NOT be returned.

It amazes me how people (especially "celebs") think that breaking a contract or the law is okay and there should be no consequences.

If the contract is read a bit farther, I would bet that it also says that the rescue has superior title, which means they remain the owner of the dog forever.

Read next time, know what you are signing and don't think for one minute that rescue is just some little nobody group that won't take action if you are in violation of the contract.

GOOD JOB RESCUE!!!

Hai Ellen
it is good that you have Drew Carey in you show
[i sall him not choose as man,i prefer a woman]
but i like his laugh and luckly you also must laugh
he have a laugh even when you not will laugh you must,

Hi Ellen,

Our family had a horrible experience with a dog rescue organization. We were treated dishonestly and unethically and I would never consider supporting or working with any animal rescue group again. I believe that many involved in animal rescue are rational, caring people. However, I have observed so much of the kind of behavior you described that I have concluded that super-restrictive rescue groups have gone off the deep end and hurt animals more than they help them. You, however, did the RIGHT thing, both in finding a good home for Iggy and in exposing this ego-trip businesswoman masquerading as an advocate for dogs.

Take care,
LD

How can this orgainization and this "person" who is suppose to be a human being...... I am so sorry for your sorrow and more to the sorrow of those girls. Why would this "organization" even state that they never looked into the home, of someone YOU AS THE OWNER, decided to allow the animal to have a loving home. THEY NEVER LOOKED INTO YOURS.

I have adopted animals from "organizations" NEVER, EVER, did anyone come to my home. this is a woman looking for her 15 minutes of fame, and this is something I will not allow this (female dog) to do!!!!!!

PS: I just saw TMZ, @ 6:30 tonight in NJ, the newest update..... this woman (aka, female dog) said they will NEVER, give those girls this dog.

ELLEN, and producers, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEAE, get this organization on the show, and let them give a leagl reason, my friend is an attorney, and said you LEAGLLY owned the dog, and you could have said it was a gift.

ELLEN, YOU ROCK AND ARE THE MOST FOR REAL PERSON.

LOVE YOU AND YOUR HONESTY!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Ellen,

It is unbelievable that this agency has treated you and the dog this way. You certainly could have purchased a dog but you choose to rescue one instead. So, you were unaware of their regulations when you gave your dog to a dear friend with two children who certainly are old enough to care for a pet. Secondly, we have celebrities (and I use this only as an illustration and contrast to your situation) who have repeated offenses of DUI and DWI and endangering children who get off no questions asked with a minimal amount of media attention.
I feel for you because it is an insane situation.

Sue

Hi Ellen!
I certainly understand what happened with the moms and mutts people. I think these people get carried away with the power they feel they have, and don't look for the good of the dog. I too, tried to rescue a dog, filled out the application, and had a response from the volunteer placement gal. She stated she was excited when she read what town I lived in, but "imagine my disappointment" when, after mapquesting my address, saw I live by railroad tracks and Morton Salt industry.I replied I had placed children from other countries into host homes for an international company, and looked for the quality of the people and their compassion, etc. This woman wrote back and, honest, this is what she said, next time she will weigh her words more carefully, as obviously I am thin skinned and took her response out of context. My only hope is the dog found a home (maybe on the other side of the tracks) and is happy.

Hello Ellen my name is Angel I'm from a little town called Narrows VA. if you blink an eye you would miss it. I love your show I watch it when i can. I know you might not get this email but i said hell give it a shot. I'm a mother of two girls and a nana of five, three girls and two boys. My tv went out at work the other day and i haven't got to watch your show for a few days. I work at Creekside laurdry mat.I would love to met you someday and you met my family. Well got to go i have too go pick up a couple of my grandbabies.

Hi Ellen,
I feel so bad for you, the puppy and the family you gave the dog to. You did not throw the dog into the street, you gave him to a loving home. The shelter should realize that and respect it and give all involved the chance to make it right by considering the new home of the dog, the adopted home. I feel for you, I too am an animal lover and adopt my dogs from the shelters also. What they all need is loving homes and families, which is what you provided. The shelter has now provided unhappiness and confusion for the little puppy. He is missing his family as much as his family is missing him. It is a crime the way the shelter is treating all those concerned, especially the little dog. I want to know now, what is happening with the puppy??? Where is he and how is he? The shelter needs to get real...give the dog back to his family and forgive you for the little mistake you feel you made. So you signed a contract to not give the dog away...you did not commit a crime by giving him a loving, caring family and a good home. I know you would not have given them the dog if you knew it would be a bad thing. After all, isn't this what shelters claim to be about, finding loving caring homes for unwanted animals? I am so mad!!!! What is the name of that shelter again?
I want to contact them.

That woman doesn't care what is in the best interest of Iggy. If she did she wouldn't have caused so much trauma in his life by taking him away from a home where he was obviously he was loved.

Hi Ellen, you are the bravest and strongest woman, I love your show. You make everyone laugh, but yesterday you cried and the whole world cried with you. I wish I was there to give you kleenex and a hug. I hope they give puppy back. how can anyone be so selfish? Someone should take something of value from them, just to see how they would like that. God will punish them for being selfish. Keep your head your head up high and smile:) :) :)

I hope the Puppy Problem gets solved quickly and efficiently. The animal shelter must be so embarrassed, but they'll know better next time to not mess with the E-Dawg!
On another note: what was the name of the cause that NICOLAI CALABRIA climbed Kilimanjaro for? I'd like to donate to it because I have a disabled brother up here in Canada, so I know how difficult it is and couldn't imagine throwing absolute poverty into the mix :(

RUBY HAS MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS WITH HER ANYONE TO MAKE A LITTLE GIRL CRY IS CRAZY!!! GIVE THE DOG BACK ALREADY!!! HANG IN THERE ELLEN I AM SURE THAT THE RIGHT THING WILL BE DONE BY THE AGENCY.

the situation with the puppy is crazy i think wat u did was a thoughtful thing u did and i honestly believe are just using the situation to make a name for themselves. i mean they threaten to bring in the media. u wpuld think as long as the pup is going to a good home it shouldn't matter who the exact owner is well i feel very bad for the girls who miss their pup

This just blows me away! Last year I went to the animal shelter to rescue a cat. My husband and I decided that this time we would adopt an older cat, thinking that they don't get adopted often. Well, to our suprise, the cat decided to mark our furniture and what a smell!! I returned the cat to the shelter and they have black-balled me from ever adopting again. One of their rules says you can bring the animal back if you don't get along. I had to replace my new furniture. COME ON ANIMAL SHELTER, GIVE THE IGGY TO THE LADIES.

I just heard about the situation regarding Iggy. I work for a local Animal Control Agency and I can not tell you how upset this makes me. We have recently had our share of issues with local organizations getting their facts mixed up and really just throwing us into the spotlight..for all of the wrong reasons. Working here is very difficult. In a perfect world, sure every animal would find a new home-but as we all know the world isn't perfect. I have always been under the impression that the goal should be to find as many animals homes as possible. You did that. You had a dog, decided it wasn't going to work and found it a new home. Is there really any harm in that? No there isn't. That makes one less dog that someone else needs to find a home for, that means more time to help another dog or cat. Thank you for opening your heart to the animals that need it!
