Several weeks ago I heard you say and your opponent as well, that a tax break would be given to those retirees who had to cash out their retirement investments, such as 401Ks and similar plans. Nothing else has been mentioned again concerning this. Is this, still in your agenda?

i would like to know what reading you have done on energy and the environment and who you would call in to consult on these issues.

I would like to know how are you going to help parents who are going to school to get a better education so they can be more self sufficient and better able to provide for their families? What are you going to do help make sure that living expenses are able to be met so we don't have to drop out of school and in the end probably having to depend on teh government for some type of assistance...i want to know what you are going to do to make sure i can stay in school and still be able to have bread on the table
i also want to know what you are going to do to crack down on people who could do something about their living situation instead of depending on the system (tax payers dollars)to meet their daily living expense....there are those of us who try and can't make it while people on food stamps eat steaks..it is different if you are trying to work and go to school or are a single parent and truly need assistance..but it is wrong for the system to allow those who have a baby every 2 or 3 years to keep wic, food stamps, and housing assitance who are able to work or go to school to better educate themselves and who choose not to because it's easier to sit at home and be a parasite on someone else's tax dollars...the government needs to give a hand UP not a hand OUT..i would rather see tax dollars go for education assistance, daycare assistance, travel expense, children's healthcare or even food assistance as long as you are enrolled in school and making an effort....it is kind of like rewarding a child or not punishing them at all....no wonder we have the problems that we have today

I work for a company that is gradually moving more and more of it's operations overseas. I have been with them for almost 20 years. They claim that in order to stay competitive, they are forced to do this, so they can keep the price of the product down. Has Barack Obama, said what he will do to help keep the remaining jobs here of companies that have already moved a lot of their operations overseas? If he has, what is it that he plans to do?

Senator Obama, How would you propose to stop unwanted pregnancy? If you can stop unwanted pregnancy I would expect you could also end crime thus ending the contraversy about the death penalty. Your answer to the question about abortion is that you would work to stop unwanted pregnancy. Tell me how you would do that? Certainly all unwanted pregnancy is unintentional. Are you suggesting that these mothers ( and fathers) are ignorant to the cause of pregnancy? Or are you planning to teach morality? In which case you as a Christian would also have to choose life.

Why haven't you given a definitive answer on how you feel about American's for fair taxation or the Fair tax bill?

I would like to ask Sen Obama what he sees wrong with Medicare Advantage. This program allows us to obtain pharmaceutical and medical coverage in one package without paying anything in addition to our regular Medicare premium. Yet when asked what programs would be cut on Meet the Press, Obama's campaign chairman identified Medicare Advantage as the only specific program he would cut, because "it is nothing but a giveaway to the insurance industry". From a consumer's point of view, I don't understand this. What would be substituted? (Is he going to concentrate on what works for Americans, or is he going to have a doctrinaire "screw the privated sector" approach?

I have a question for Obama. He's always talking about ending the war and creating jobs. What about the thousands of mobilized reserve and national guardsmen who have been making a living off of the war. Does he realize that when he ends the war and sends all of us home that many of us will not have jobs? Some of us no longer even have a home to go to. As soon as the need is gone for mobilized reservists I will be both homeless and jobless. Is he planning on reducing our armed forces? We've seen this before too. If that happens I will no longer even have the option of transitioning to active status, as well as many troops here who have similar plans.

Mr. Obama

I am a 62 year old retired female. I only draw $900.00 Social Security per month. I have absolutely no insurance at all, because I can not afford any. I have diabetes, high blood pressure, high chloresterol, weight problems, & kidney stones practically all the time. I have no money to go to the doctor, buy medicine, & especially to go to the hospital. So, I suffer & take extra strength Tylenol to try to ease the pain & "doctor" myself. I order some diabetes & blood pressure medicine from India, because it is cheaper & I don't need a prescription - without it I would have probably have already had a stroke or heart attack which both run in my family.

What I want to know is what you will do to help ME get insurance, when I have absolutely NO money at all for it & have so many pre-existing medical conditions & will not be old enough to get on Medicare for 2 years & 3 more months?

I know you plan to help childen with school & college, which is their parents' problem. If they weren't prepared to do this, then they should have not had any children.

You need to help older people more who have worked all their lives & are now on a fixed income with prices of food, gas, medicine, insurance, property taxes, etc., etc. just sky rocketing until they can barely buy a loaf of bread or a jug of milk.

My vote depends on who will do the most to help older people on fixed incomes & not really able to work & to help them get cheap, good insurance & cheap medicine.
