wont helping build up the economies of nations help solve trade problems,illegal alien problems by making there own countries attractive,slow the need for aid,make friends among nations,slow terrorism by making everyone have a better life.one world for all.nation helping nation instead of nation pitted against nation.every nation that suffers is a cancer of the whole world.

I would like to to ask Obama about theImmigration Department.
Its currently the slowest and indeed the most un efficient government department in our system.
What are his plans in making the immigration department a speedy process and quicken the time that legitimate immigrants and come to america a nd help the Nation prosper?

I beleive that most immirgrants that come illigally do so because of the ridiculously long waiting times that have to be taken in order for cases to just be reveiwed which is the beginning of the process.

i would like to know why you or the government would do bail-outs for banks and the auto industry ,when in fact if you would give the money to the hard working americans who are barely getting by instead of bailing out the greedy banks and others who have prospered by thier greedieness. if you put the money into the american people then they would buy and if auto industries would cut thier auto prices i think that you would see a great comeback in the economy as well as making the mininum wage higher and make the wage increase to apply to all workers.in other words let all employees reap the benefits of a wage increase. instead of long term employees suffer at the fact that a new hire makes more money for the same job. i have been working since i was 16 yrs. old and i make no more now than i did then because of the economy.i am a home owner and live very frugal. so , please give us the people some answers. thank-you

Since history shows us repeatedly that tax cuts for the rich leads to a boom and bust cycle and tax increases on the wealthy encourages more reinvestment. Why are you thinking of keeping the Bush tax cuts on top of the Reagan tax cuts since that is why we are in this hole now?

I am a relatively healthy 49 year old, college educated male with a family of 4, ages 11 and 7. I began working the day after graduating and have always worked since then. I saved and invested and paid my fair share of taxes. After 25 years as an employee in the insurance business I left to begin my own insurance business. Finally, after many years of hard and stressful times we began to make decent money. Although we still live simply (well water, septic, no fire department or garbage collection services, and our children attend private school), we paid our full taxes, including any Capital Gains and the Alternative Minimum Taxes we were told we owed. In 2006 a greedy and unethical business competitor conspired to destroy what we had built. We sold the remaining business in July 2006 and took a different career path in real estate. Because our income in 2006 was over the threshold, we did not qualify for stimulus money in 2007. We made exactly $0 income in 2007 and have yet to earn anything in 2008. We have significant expenses related to our business which my accountant says we cannot claim for deduction because we do not have any income, nor can we go backwards for adjustment. I can’t qualify for unemployment because of self-employment. We recently lost 40% of our retirement account value and our homes are not selling because of the sub-prime mess.

The new Obama $700B-1Trillion stimulus program will never benefit us but will certainly be a burden for our children and grandkids, and probably their children, too. This money will only end up in the hands of contractors who will hire immigrants who will take the money back to their countries. I certainly can’t repair a bridge or road and neither can the other baby-boomers who create the jobs and are the true drivers of the economy. Meanwhile, we continue to pray for our leaders and struggle to make ends meet, but this IS NOT MY AMERICAN DREAM!

What about the troops who are scheduled to get deployed to iraq after obama takes office? Will they still be going even though he is trying to pull troops out?

if i had to ask one question to obama i would ask him when he's going to legalize marijuana.

Mr Obama,

I am a young professional making a comfortable living, but I am interested in serving a greater cause. I had made up my mind to contribute to my country and join the Marine Reserves if Senator McCain was elected president. However, now I am not so sure if this is even worth my time or dedication.
