I have heard about the prisons being over crowded due to crack, and now there is a crack law out to eliviate this problem. I have heard some things about a 65% law for federal prisoners that are doing time on drug charges, however it has not been passed. My question is, will this 65% law ever come to reality or will it remain just a fantasy? This affects my life because, I have been arrested under a federal indictment on a conspiracy charge for meth amphetamine. The charge carries a 10-life sentence. I am a good person and do not feel I should spend the rest of my life in a federal prison because I made a bad choice and got high on meth amphetamine for a while. Life is full of lessons learned as this world turns, I know there has got to be disipline when rules and laws are broken, but do I need to pay for my mistake for the rest of my life? I am turning 50 years old this year and am still sitting in a jail cell awaiting sentencing from a federal judge. I have been to 3 different holding facilitys in 10 months as they move federal prisoners around quite often. I am praying by the time sentencing comes the 65% law will be in affect so I can spend some time with my mother before her life is over. I have so much to make up for in life and am praying I will be given that chance. Thank you for hearing my question for president Obama. Bless you.

I am an Iranian boy and my age is 17. My father was a doctor who works in Iran's jail. He faced many problems because he always stands against the inhuman behaviors in jails and after that the problems come to our family. We thread to death and we always in fear and escaping thereafter we had to flee and apply to be refugee in India-new Delhi.

My family and I were stay in India for about 2 years. Most of the work regarding our family is done with me because I know the English language; naturally every responsibility is on my shoulder. Unfortunately India did not sign 1951 convention and protocol. The refugees are excluded from the life standard.

I decided to continue my study up to high level. My childhood dream was always being to become a successful designer. But the refugee cases in here are pending for about 15-20 years. It is being frustrating. We don’t know that what come to our future and we can't tolerate to stay here illegally. Just because of respect to the right of inhumanities we face to all these problems.

It's my dream to see the happy face of my mother, to study, to become a successful designer and my dream is that you may help me.

President Obama, I have a question about this new stimulus package you are proposing for GM and Chrysler. Instead of giving them all these funds to just help them why don't you give it to the people who need it so much? All the money you are throwing in to save these companies is a waste since they still aren't selling the vehicles and if you were to actually give money to the tax payers then they could have the chance to weed out the non-essential companies from the ones we actually need. I say a national stimulus package for the citizens is more critical than for the companies who so far aren't doing anything to help our country in these difficult times.

I would like to ask President Obama a question in regard to the economy. I have noticed that more than anything else, fuel controls the economy. It is my understanding that, at present, there are no regulations on fuel costs. My question is; Does President Obama plan to regulate the cost of fuel to keep the price in line with the present economy?

I would like to know where President Obama stands today regarding outsourcing of jobs. The last I knew he was against it but yet he is shaking hands with the CEO of IBM, one of this countries biggest outsourcers. IBM is laying off thousands again today, with many of the jobs going overseas. There was a time when IBM would retrain its workforce but not anymore.

Maybe the federal government can use its clout with federal contracts and try to require companies that are still profitable to retain their U.S. based workers.

I would like to ask when he plans to use Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae to push interest rates to 4.5% as promised.

You have extended a hand to help these companies and now that you have seen how companies like AIG are going to use the help you are giving them; do you still plan to give them more money from out of our pockets? I believe that since we own a large portion of this company; We the people ask that you let them learn from their willfull ways it was not a mistake what they've done! They are like Willfull children trying to see what they can get away with! Their supply must be cut off! Maybe if some of these Super Size companies are allowed to fall,and if we capitalize these banks it will send an earthquake through Wall Street and encourage them the start again and change their ways!
It's funny how when things are going well and their Dirt doesn't Spill out into the general public it's excused and approved; but when it spills, it the Little people that they come to to clean up their Dirt and whip the Drool from their Lips! We the little people are the ones that need the help not the wealthy companies, and believe me we will know what to do with the money once it is recieved and will be able to take care and provide much miore comfortably for our families. My brother lives in Coldwater, MI. He makes $12/hr and his wife is unable to find a job. (She has a degree from MSU). They have 2 children both under the age of 4. They don't smoke or drink and attend church. They do NOT qualify for help from the stimulas package! They have worked for more than 20 years to make their credit perfect and can no longer hold their head above water. AIG is sending millions over seas! Who can you help??!

Will the economic stimulus package incent American entreprenuers to produce in the United States some of the products that American consumers buy? For instance, pots, pans, microwave ovens, toasters, DVD players, shirts, shoes. There are so many things we purchase everyday that are produced abroad and imported. To stimulate the economy of the United States, shouldn't we be producing the products that we consume?
