A Bunch Of Lunch


Usually my lunch is stylishly presented in neat food groups, but today I asked my chef Sean to toss me a salad and then toss it right onto the plate. The salad is made with salad, avocados, (Probably from Tom Selleck’s avocado ranch. I’m not sure, I didn’t check the brands.) tomatoes and small green crunchy things. I have dressed my salad with salad dressing. (I prefer to have my salads clothed)

My main course is a cheese veggieburger casually thrown next to the salad. (I’m not sure if it was cooked with the Sunbeam Rocket grill but it sure looks tasty.) On the side I have yellow and red dipping sauces or as some people call them, Catsup and mustard.

Ellen,

A long time ago I asked you if you could please have a vegetarian meal posted for once and here you've gone and finally done it! Thanks so much (although I'd like to inform you that there's lots of tasty vegetarian foods out there that don't look like "mold"). I know you probably didn't do this JUST for me but I appreciate it nonetheless. Love you!!

Ellen, I love that you are eating a veggie burger! It's much healthier (and cuter!) than a slab of meat. A vegan burger would have been better, but I'll settle for the veggie for now. You would really, truly be so surprised at how yummy vegan meals CAN be with just a little exploration. I bet your chef would love to try out new dishes, and the healthier so much the better. There are some great vegan cookbooks out there (Vegan With a Vengeance, Veganomicon, The Mediterranean Vegan Kitchen, and so many more). It's a whole new world of taste waiting for you! Expand your horizons and enjoy the epiphany! Nothing feels better than knowing you are being kind to your body, feeling so healthy and whole, and being kind to all the beautiful living animals at the very same time. Truly. You'll be doin' the "vegan dance"! (Not sure what that is...but I'm sure you can think one up!)

This spot is about Ellen's lunch, which kudos to her, she eats way healthier than I ever do! No wonder she's always got the energy to dance like that.

Ellen,
you can be lucky that you got some avocados. Don´t they grow close to San Diego? So they were not burned and suvived, your lucky avocados. Did they get names by Tom Selleck or may the one who will eat them call them however she wants? Better you don´t give names to vegetable otherwise you feel guilty by eating them. It is enough, that we all know that tomatoes are crying if you throw them into boiled water - since that terrible movie:)
One advice since you´ve got the Jägermeister - when you were the wildcat - from the neighborhood: That drink is not very healthy and the taste is terrible, I kmow it, because that is one of the bad inventions which comes from our country, germany. After 24 drinks you might feel a little dizzy.

Know what? Talking about your food really makes it seem a whole lot Better tasting, and a lot more interesting then it normally is.
I tried it out with my friends, and my leftover pasta meal was all of a sudden Magnificio'!!!

I like the salad but the stuff plopped on the other side (veggie burger) doesn't look very good. WHY IS IT GREY ... Your such a healthy eater good job!

As long as you got filled up and it was half way tasty, that is what counts. I mean sometimes I have meals like this at lunch time and then I am jonesing for a candy bar or chips about a half hour later. As long as you weren't jonesing, that is what counts!

I'll have to hand it to you, you sure eat healthy - or should that be healthily? I wish I could eat salads but my motto has always been "I don't eat anything green unless it's a bean".
