30 Seconds To Air

It is a well worn show business tradition to give the lucky 3 fingers up sign just before the show. Coincidentally, this is also the ancient martial arts pose called the "Thumb Claw". As many a scratched and gouged back stagehand can attest, it's not a good idea to sneak up on Ellen when it's 30 seconds to air.

I just wonder how much money this "resuce" place got for Iggy the second time around. I'd be willing to bet that they SOLD that dog for a much higher price (after Ellen had already paid for it to begin with) since it was in the middle of the "Ellen Controversy"!

People amaze me. We have men dying minute by minute in Iraq, children starving as we speak and they are more concerned with taking a dog away from a loving family with two little girls to make more money...

I'd also be willing to bet, after all of this hype, Mutts and Mom's will be out of business! As well they should be.

Keep up the good work Ellen. It will work out!

you should be ashamed of yourself for making such a scene about iggy especially when you are the ones that did not follow thru on a written agreement. do you think just because you are on tv that you are entitled to special priviledges. it's only a dog, you gave the dog away cause your cat could not get along with it and now it's the owners of mutt and mums that are getting threats. you come across as super hurt but if anyone hurts those from mutt and mums you should be held accountable by many people and contrary to what some have said not everyone agrees with you about this cause i sure do not. you blew it, now deal with it. if you were the great person people are making you believe you are you would speak on your tv show for people to quit threatening the women from the rescue mission but it's all about ellen and how she can shed crock tears and lots of her viewers go ballistic. your fans are stupid to be threatening someone for doing their job especially when you guys did not follow thru with what agreement you signed. It's called personal responsibility of which you half taken but at the same time set the crazies and freaks free to hurt innocent people they do not even know. get a life cause not everyone is on your side.

Hi Ellen. As an animal lover myself, I feel your pain. I am just like you when it comes to doing anything for animals. I feel terrible about your situation, and hope that it all works out. I think that you did the right thing when you found the dog a good home, after all that is what they were going to do when they got the dog back anyway. It's not like you gave the dog to someone that you did not even know. I hope it works out in your favor! Good luck!

You broke the rules you signed when you adopted the dog. I do feel sorry for the family who wanted the dog but you knew the rules when you got the dog and you did not abide by them. Why do you think you should be given special treatment? You are not above anyone else and should not be treated any differently because you are a celebrity. If anyone else broke the rules the same thing would have happened to them. I think it's a shame the owner's of the adoption facility are receiving threats because they are only doing their job and they are following the rules which You did not.

Hi Ellen

I saw you on the news being so distressed about giving ur dog to ur friends i think u did a wonderful wonderful thing for that dog and for your friends those people who think they are authority of the dog should get off their high horse and get on with their daily job.

You did the right thing u gave the dog to a good loving home its not like u killed the dog or left it on the side of the road for goodness sake get over it everyone! Ellen your a wonderful caring human being and all of us who love u and care and support you is all that matters not those other people who are hurting and trying to destroy you.

You go GIRL you did good.

ILl Always watch you no matter what

mon

ELLEN! I'm so sorry bout the dog, and its ok you made an honest mistake and you are trying to make it better for the family and the dog! You are doing the right thing! I'm not the greatest fan of the pound now they should be thinking of the dog and the family rather than the legal issues. They should do whats right in their hearts and not whats on the paper!
Keep up the work Ellen! I love ya lots!

nice pic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! u rock ellen d
when im home sick i like watching ur show :)

hey ellen!

nice pic. haha. hope everything is going well. I hope Iggy goes back to the family he belongs to. you rock, and everything will b ok. Take care and kakaka haha! -amanda

How could the shelter give the dog to another family? That is just wrong. Why wasn't the family you gave the dog to first in line? They have a right to adopt as well. For the lady that has the dog now and is aware of the situation.....SHAME ON YOU!

You did a kind, wonderful thing adobting the dog. You did another kind wonderful thing giving the dog who you gave it to. You made a technical mistake like all of us do from time to time as far as the agreement to get the dog. BIG WHOOPIDOO! You did the right thing. Those folks should be ashamed for takin the dog away from those kids! I watched the news, & it reallly pissed me off you were being critisized for airing, what happened, on your show. Ellen, you hang in there, & don't take ONE DAMN PIECE of YOU KNOW WHAT! All of us regular folks love you for what youi tried to do.-----------You are the best!------Jim Jamison

Ellen,
I am not expressing my opinion of who is right or wrong but of how heartfelt your opening on your show was on Tuesday. You share your life with us daily and why should you keep it to yourself because you are sad. We love your show and of the person you are. Thank you for your honesty and of always thinking of others. Keep your chin up.

Debbie

To Barbara....if you are no longer a fan or viewer....why are you still writing so many rude comments on her web site...people make mistakes...Ellen is no different....I am sure you have made a few.You have your right to your oppinion but that doesnt mean anyone cares, so why waste the time and energy to write it on this page....do really think Ellen is going to call you and beg you to be her fan and viewer again....come on wake up.

I can't believe the bad comments about Ellen. Do you people watch her show? She never talks bad about anyone and doesn't have Celebrities on that say mean things about other people. Stop bashing her. I'm sure people will still adopt from shelter and I'm sure everyone will be reading the fine print from now on. Those women should do the right thing and give the dog back to the kids.

ellen,
do not let these people bully you.
you didn't do anything wrong! nothing at all!!
anyone with half a heart would realise that.
toni.

The dog, is not about the pet., but about
the dog nazi's, who started with good intentions
but lost sight of the animals to be saved, and
found a way to save themselves. We found a
CAT nazi in Melbourne, FL (Melbournia, as
Jerry S would say), gave up the kitten of
choice, moved on, and have Two "wild and
crazy guys" - one a kitten, the other a two
year old.... : four and five years olds, now.
Sad to say, I will never adopt a pet through
one of those 'hippy dippy' organizations.
Wilmington, N.C. has a newspaper giving info
about adoptable pets; one daughter adopted
a five year old cat through this medium, and
he is one sainted cat and two years later
living happily ever after - and with a dog.

Thanks for caring,

Ellen, as much as I admire you, THIS time, you're wrong about your actions regarding the little dog and the family you gave him to. The woman who spends her days and nights rescuing and trying to find homes for her animals should never have been degraded by you on public television. YOU need to spend 24 hours at HER house to see what she has to go through and hear her stories of animal cruelty. There's a good reason why she wanted to have the animal returned if you decided not to keep it. She wanted to know that the little creature would be taken care of properly. She doesn't know you...except on television. The most "normal" people can be horribly cruel to animals and I'm sure the woman knows it. An assistant city manager in my town beat his old dog to death with a bat when it pooped in his livingroom! The news never made it to the public but I was told by an insider at the local humane society.
This woman who has committed herself to the welfare of abandoned animals should be honored...not scorned. Didn't you think, even for a moment, that you might put her in danger from an angry public, just because you are so popular? You owe her a public apology and should ask her on your show so she can redeem herself.
