RUSSIAN BOAR:
The Russian wild boar is native to both Europe and Asia, but for purposes of sport hunting, they have been introduced in North, Central, and South America. It is a very challenging animal to hunt because despite its poor eyesight, it possesses keen senses of smelling and hearing and is a very muscular animal that relies on its speed and wits to evade hunters.
Boars use their sharp tusks to search out food by uprooting everything from tubers and roots to small animals and snakes. These powerful tusks can literally bulldoze through an area of ground and are formidable weapons that sometimes reach five inches in length.

Ellen, I loved the Russian Boar. He wasn't "boring" at all (I know, pathetic pun - this is why I am not on television). He was adorable and seemed to really enjoy the touching. What an ambassador.
You cannot bring too many animals on the show, as far as I am concerned. I just love seeing them, and your interaction with them.
By the way, next time you have a cat on (like the lion cub) aske the handler about chuffing softly at it. (It is a purring like method of communicating to the little guys that everything is okay. I have used it with some rescued cougar cubs and they just mellowed right out).
Thanks for the smiles,
Bettyarlene
