The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Facebook

I say we all rally together and write letters to Nike promoting the hire of Chris. It would be nice to see someone who is doing the right thing for his family getting ahead instead of someone who already has a ton of money.
After reading all the comments have to say the only really sensable one way about chris being in the olympics as most athletes would dye for Chris's talent.
As for Ellen giving a car...she has always lived up to her name " DEGENEROUS ONE " She also is a very smart person who trys to always do the unexpected so why would she give him a car when every one would automatically think she would...
OH BY THE WAY WE HOPE GLADYS IS OK AS WE ALL MISS HER GREAT TALKS WITH ELLEN...
WISH CHRIS, GLADYS AND ELLEN THE VERY BEST...
JOANNE V
Now if Ellen would have gave him a car she would be like all the other talk shows giving away things... Can't anyone be happy with just some entertainment which is her job... ANYWAYS who do you think PAID for him to FLY to CA??? UH Ellen maybe? Free air fare, room and I am sure food too was included! Last time I check most of the time a guest is invited as well.
Only in Ohio would you see that. And on Ellen. Good luck Christopher.I hope you get a job with Nike. Of course if all else fails you could just drive up to Cleveland and have a chat with Lebron. He has connections.
I'm from Lima by the way.
ellen didnt even have to give me anything i'm greatfull she had me on her show she's a wonderfull person
Quote about Chris from the Akron Newspaper:
"He said he received thousands of dollars worth of gifts from DeGeneres, who also gave his sister, Shanika Bryant, gift certificates for baby gear because she is expecting a baby in a few months."
I would agree with the comment that Ellen knows the best way to help him.
Great show Ellen!
He deserves a car just like you and I deserve a car. Is Ellen supposed to give every guest a gift for their special talent? I don't think so. He's lucky enough to have appeared on her show. That is a gift in itself! I wouldn't worry for his future, i'm sure he'll get some kind of deal after this.
Ellen I love you and your show, but my sister Leslie loves you more! Too bad when we were in L.A. we couldn't get tickets. Hopefully next time.

With regard to the comments about Ellen not giving Chris Bryant a car, I do not think being tight had anything to do with it.
I will go with my gut feeling that Ellen knows the best way to help him.
Now that you have had a chance with Chris
isn't he amazing a true Idol of sorts I have met him many times at the waterloo and I'm proud
My daughter and grandson just adore him and so do we
He is pure at heart and honest
a rare combination now a days
When he is working at the waterloo he takes the time to talk with people and ready to JUMP for the Kids
he is just Great if I had to vote between him and
Lebron James another local kid hands down it would be Chris
WHEN ARE YOU GONNA CALL GLADYS? I ENJOY HER SO MUCH. IT IS TOO BAD SHE WON'T FLY TO BE ON YOUR SHOW. LOVE YOUR SHOW
Maybe if Chris doesn't hear from Nike in a little while "you" (the show) could give him one of those cars. (I was completely expecting it, too.)
BTW, I checked out The Ellen Shop... Great Stuff! Could you make a t-shirt with a scoop neck? Some of us don't look good in a crew neck.
Thanks!
Love you! Love your show! Thanks for making us laugh every day!
Sheryl
OK, now I get it.
You didn't offer him a car because you wanted Nike or some other big sponsor to step up and make him an offer. Then you would have Chris back and the sponsor would present him with a car or scholarship or anything to get him OUT OF THE KITCHEN.
"My husband and I were sure you were going to give him his choice of colors after he jumped the five cars....."
Had Ellen done that I would venture to guess there would have been one extremely upset employee.
What a great piece on Chris. Please keep all of your fans informed if Nike calls him or you and they decide to put him in one of their commercials.
It's a WIN WIN for both sides.
I really thought you were going to have Chris pick out a car, jump over it, and then give it to him.
Just a thought.
This is amazing! I am so happy that you gave Chris a place to showcase his talent. Keep up the great work, Ellen!
This guy is amazing I think you should have him on again to let us know if NIKE takes him. Or to give him a new car.
He was great thanks
Loved watching the kid jump the cars!! It's nice to see a talk show take a breather from talking to celebrities which ultimately promote their endeavors. I just wished you had given him one of the cars, tuition assistance or something. He's a man with integrity that at age 23 puts his family first and should be rewarded for it. Nike didn't need any free advertising and I'm sure he would have appreciated a month's rent.
Still my favorite talk show!!

I agree. I even have a slogan:
"NIKE, makes the impossible, possible."
Or:
"NIKE, you can choose to run with the other guys ( show someone running),( cut to Chris jumping a car) but you can't jump like this without us. NIKE, just wear it."
Thank you and good night.
